    I took Scottish Country Dance lessons in the late 80s, and I remember really enjoying this one once I got the hang of it, but it's pretty tricky (and fast).

    Hoorah!! left shoulder reels. It is interesting to read on the Dance Database that James Cosh has always regretted having left it open on devising the dance.

    Interesting them all doing it the magic way with passing partners left shoulder instead of right.

    When dancing half figure of 8 with corners the dancing couple should pass each other with right shoulders

      I am told that left shoulder passing is the way the dance is written. However, in most social dances right shoulders are passed, seems more natural. As you can see on the video my left shoulder bumps into my partners shoulder! Alastair M Pettigrew
