Hey there. Thanks for the Clapton Lessons. So far I did "Before you acuse me" and "Hey Hey". Love to play it and you show it in very comprehensive way 👍
I know Clapton plays the E7#9 but Big Bill was clearly playing a C# on that chord, not a D. It’s more like a diminished chord because Big Bill was just that hip. Edited to add that the G and C# in the second part of the lick are also part of an E diminished chord, there really isn’t a quick change, just a cool chord.
Great lesson, but it sounds a little weird to keep the E string as a bass in the 2nd bar to me, and the chord is an A7 there! It feels a little like it is clashing the E bass and an A7 chord. Or should I see it as an A7/E?
The second measure does have an A in the bass. The 4th measure has an E in the bass since the song follows the Fast Change 12 Bar Blues. This chord would be seen as an E13#9 and yea it does sound a bit weird but thats how the song goes. Check the slow play thru with tabs at 9:15. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@FeedbackGuitarAcademy thanks for your feedback. And yes I've checked the chord progression of course, and I totally understand it is an E chord actually in the 4th meassure, even thou the triad itself is an A7. I can almost play the song through slowly after 3 days. It needs to go to my muscle- memory first before it will become easier . It allready sounds more familiar and natural to me.thanx and please keep posting this great stuff. Always wanted to learn stuff like this, but didn't know how.
I appreciate you watching and commenting! That's great progress if you can play thru it in a few days! Im glad to help! If you need any other help or want some guidance I teach private lessons on Zoom and Id be glad to help you out and also here is a course dedicated to learning fingerstyle guitar www.feedbackguitaracademy.com/store
@@FeedbackGuitarAcademy thanks a lot, I'll bear it in mind. I even started classical guitar a while back, and I have allready some experience with fingerpicking for years. I think I will benefit from classical guitar as well, I will definitely benefit from it , and I start learning real fast lately to learn new stuff. I also have to keep up with everything I know allready. It's a never-ending journey learning guitar.
Thanks for sharing! If you have a minute, we recorded some original blues tunes. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you'd check it out. It's on our channel. Don't be too tough on us :)
BTW - this is great. There's some syncopation between the thumb and the figure the other four fingers are doing, but it's not insanely hard. For a non-fingerpicking guitarist like me, it's a nice "get your feet wet" sort of introduction to keeping the thumb going with a steady 4/4.
The best HeyHey lesson on UA-cam. Thank you!!!!
Wow, thanks! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for recognizing Big Bill Broonzy.

This is excellent your lesson because I was copying Clapton and it misses me the base line 👍
Thanks so much- Im glad it was helpful!
