- Sky News host James Macpherson has compared Donald Trump and Joe Biden's upcoming debate to “one boxer and a lettuce leaf”.
Sitting US President Joe Biden and his Republican predecessor Donald Trump have agreed to two presidential TV debates which will be broadcast on CNN and ABC in June and September.
The announcements follow an escalating war of words about the terms of any debate between the two candidates.
“The sledging has already started,” Mr Macpherson said.

Second, it is not a debate, it is a speechifying session because Trump is not allowed to ask questions or interrupt at any point of disagreement. And, finally, this format was intricately designed by the DNC to thoroughly advantage Biden allowing him to speechify to make him look prepared, credible, and presidential, with no debating to interfere with this imagery.
