I have a cringe story for your next one! I was hanging out with this dude from tinder (M) and I was telling him about this guy (B) I matched with previously. B had told me to add him on Snapchat, and his entire Snapchat story was full 3 minute videos every single day of him in the gym mirrors doing those rapid change bodybuilder poses. Literally, 3 full minutes everyday. M and I had a chuckle about it, and then later on I pulled out my phone to actually show him.
I laugh and I’m like “how wild is that?!” And he’s like “oh. That’s my best mate”. MY SOUL LEFT MY BODY AND IT HAS NOT RETURNED SINCE.

I’m a senior and sophomore year was 100% the worst year of my life. Senior year is already way better
I had to book an OBGYN appointment with a different doctor because of some worrisome blood test results. A nurse walks me to the room and I'm expecting to go to a little room or bathroom to undress and put on a disposable towel around my waist, like I've always done in previous appointments, but this woman gets a towel, holds it in front of her with her arms open like she's Jesus and turns her head to the side. I'm superuncomfortable but it looks that this is as much privacy as I'm going to get so I start undressing from the waist down. As I take my underwear off, she turns her head, looks at me and says: that's a lovely lip colour

I was at a restaurant with my parents and my dad mispronounced a dessert he wanted, so he ended up making full eye contact with the waitress and asking for a LEMON P*SSY instead of a Lemon Posset VERY loudly. Fair play to the waitress for remaining v professional and not immediately laughing, but everyone turned around and I died inside. He still is adamant he said it correctly.

I'm really glad you included the divorce one. I got married at 21, divorced at 23 (finalized about 6 months ago!). I know that I did the right thing by leaving her, but there's a lot of shame around having gotten married in the first place. Lesson learned--if someone wants to get married fast, it's because they're hiding something. Also never, ever combine finances with anyone, lol.

Tbh I don't think skipping the prenup changed the outcome of our divorce in any way, but it was an "amicable" (AKA we kept it out of court), uncontested divorce since we had no shared property, debt, or children.

Oh my God the first story reminded me of when my teenage sister was in a group chat and one student sent a picture she took of a female teacher eating an ice cream cone rather aggresively. They then proceeded to create some unsavory memes with it, and one of the group chat members tattled to the principal. And then my mother had to come to the school to discuss why her daughter had photoshopped something to the effect of "when he tells you to go deeper" onto this poor teachers photo. Still make fun of her for it.

One time my sisters friends were all outside of our house setting up an elaborate promposal. Me being about 14 and my sister being 17. I was already head over heels infatuated with all of her friends because they were older and therefore cooler BUT they still took the time to humor me and treat me like part of the group in larger settings. Anyways, mid promposal, as they’re setting things up in the yard, I run out my front door in chaotic excitement at the prospect of being part of such a cool high school shenanigan when I was still in middle school hell. And I promptly face planted off my 4 foot tall porch into a flower bed of honeysuckle. And I just kinda laid there for a while I listened to them scream laughing from the bushes. Yeah I never lived that one down.
i know the video’s already been made but confession: i had a crush on this guy in school, his cousin found out and told him at lunch. he always sat across from me at the table. he casually brought it up while i was taking a bite of my PB&J and i CHOKED on the peanut butter, literally lodged in my throat and i couldn’t breathe. tried to help it down with milk but that didn’t help either. a teacher came over and performed the heimlich maneuver on me... so the guy i had a massive crush on, this poor sweet man who was just trying to talk to me about my feelings, ended up with PB&J and milk all over his face and chest. i still haven’t recovered ❤️

Which is the alto of whistle range. The other ranges were Sopristle, Tenstile, and Bastile. Although to be fair I low-key thoroughly enjoyed it

If you ever do this video again, here’s my story: I was in Disney with my family when I was about 14/15. We had been in Florida for a couple of days and I had grouper the night before at a restaurant. I projectile vomited up all over myself, my family, my sisters boyfriend AND THE UBER DRIVER. I started to ball because I was humiliated. We payed for the Uber guy to get his car cleaned and a HUGE tip. I didn’t get to go to Disney that day
I straight up cried at school multiple times my sophomore year. Just broke down. One time a teacher called me Lauren instead of Laura and I tried to correct her and just started sobbing instead.
At uni (college), we were each invited into the tutor's office in the first week to say hi and have a chat etc. Tutor asked me "how was your summer? What did you get up to?" and I was so nervous I just burst into tears. They were just quite amused by it, and v sympathetic!
That forgetting about father's day one is so relatable.
Ok while we are on the subject of dorky ways to injure yourself- I once hurt myself playing musical chairs- as like an absolutely sober college junior

I'm upset that I missed my time to shine so I'll share mine here: I pissed myself twice in college. Both times I was stone cold sober. The first was actually in my sleep bc I drank a ton of water while I was studying and dozed off, waking up with a start to me peeing myself. The second was bc my dad was in the city and he took me to meet our cousins up there. I forgot to use the bathroom before we left and the train ride back to school was super long. To make matters worse, we went the wrong way out of the station and walked 10 blocks before we realized and by then I already knew I was In Danger. By the time we made it back, I was ready to explode, so I ran to the nearest first floor bathroom of my dorm and into the stall, but the relief of just seeing a toilet made me relax. Too much. And I let it all loose in my patterned leggings (this was 2015). As if I hadn't been punished enough for my folly, there were two other girls on the elevator up to my room during my walk of shame and I just had to pray they didn't look down.
I have a follow up question to the first story: were you in public?? Like studying at the library or something?
Girl the same happened to me like 4 times. After a full day of lectures, I pissed myself in my dorm room and once in my sleep the first time I stayed over at my bf's parent's place. I was 20 at that time. Stopped peeing myself after my 3rd Semester.

When I was in high school, (about 15 years ago) we still had those horrible old toilets where the cistern is attached to the the wall above the toilet and you pulled a chain. I went in to one cubicle because I had a cold and didn’t want anyone to see me blow my nose. I pulled the chain to flush the tissue and the whole cistern crashed down. It flooded the entire girl’s block. nobody knew it was me because I walked out really fast before people realised there was water pouring. We got a renovation out of it, though.

in eighth grade, it was lunch time and I was sitting with my friends when my crush went up to our table and everyone started looking up at him. I turned around to see what everyone was looking, and he was right there behind me. He and asked me, "Do you want to go to the dance?" Of course I was panicking inside and all what came out of my mouth was "Huh?!" Then he said, "Do you want to buy tickets for the dance?" i totally would’ve submitted to this if i paid proper attention to social media instead of browsing memes. but i’ll post my most embarrassing moment that i don’t think i’ve ever told anyone (besides my mom):
one day in 5th grade i had to use the bathroom, but there were other girls in there so my anxiety took over and i couldn’t get myself to go. not even that my body wouldn’t let me because believe me i had to PISS. but my brain told me ‘no those girls will judge me when they hear me pee’ because ya know, crippling anxiety. fast forward to class and something makes me laugh too hard and i PEE MYSELF in my chair. tried not to leave the chair for a while but it wasn’t even half way through the school day yet. just to add insult to injury i laughed later on and fucking FARTED so one of my classmates of course pointed it out and laughed. typical elementary school nightmare. in the end i signed out to go to the bathroom but instead went to the office to call my mom and tell her i was sick. this part i cannot remember for the life of me because i probably blocked it out entirely; walking through the school with a giant pee stain on the back of my jeans was too much for my adolescent brain to handle. got picked up and came back to class an hour later in new pants 🙃 i probably had a jacket on that i could’ve tied around my waist to hide it too! but guess what? my anxiety as a child also made me extremely self conscious of my arm hair so that would’ve been an intense internal struggle.
ALSO on the subject of butt sweat stains on chairs, are we gonna talk about the stain it leaves on your PANTS? maybe i just have too many bad memories of peeing my pants wait a second-

I showed up for the sort of "initiation" weekend trip for my job at the zoo in sophomore year about three hours early and started attending classes on my laptop in the break room. my parents had me pack three bags absolutely stuffed to the brim, literally dying lugging it all around. when we leave to go to the parking lot where the bus is picking us up, i realize i cant find my phone and had my boss walk me back to the break room. 20 minutes and i find out it was stuffed into my suitcase. walking back i fell and ate shit walking down a hill. my friend who said he'd sit next to me just straight up abandoned me when i got on the bus, but he was still holding my backpack and when he went to hand it to me the strap/buckle (they're connected) broke so it fell and spilled my pads out everywhere. to top it all off, the hour long ride lasted 6 hours bc of an accident+the driver got lost. i spent so long just knowing i was pooling up blood and couldn't do anything about it.
Ok I’m gonna go ahead and share a story that to this day haunts me, I was on class in my phone and I wanted to show my teacher a presentation I had in my computer, so I turned the camera on and showed my computer screen to my class, ignoring the fact that I had my latest ig hoe pic front and center... I froze for a bit and then literally said “oops, anyways so.. ” thankfully I’m done with that class and I will never see the teacher or classmate irl lmao

I actually have a story pretty similar to Hannah’s. So in the nutcracker ballet there’s this lady who has a big ass skirt that she keeps children under and then lets them out so they can dance around. One year I was playing one of the children and the guy playing the skirt woman forgot to let me out so I was trapped under the skirt for a solid 2 minutes and it was TERRIFYING
Keep in mind I was 7 when this happened
Fun fact: getting an IUD is not as bad as people make it out to be! It was uncomfortable (OBVIOUSLY) but like, over quick and I didn't really have that bad cramps. IUDs are wonderful (esp if you cannot tolerate the pill like me!). Here are some tips for any ladies considering an IUD but you're too afraid because of horror stories you've heard:
(1) My Dr prescribed me misoprostol to take the night before the insertion. This opened my cervix and I think this made the insertion a lot less painful than the "horror stories" I've heard. ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THIS! It only cost me like $4 at the pharmacy to pick up, and it's worth it!!
(2) About 30 mins before your insertion appointment, take 400-600mg of Ibuprofen (or a painkiller you can tolerate). This seems like a lot, but I think this dulled any cramps caused by contractions during the day.
(3) Tell your Dr you are nervous! Ask them to talk you through everything they are doing, and when they tell you they are going to insert it take a deep breath. For me, I just said several expletives to deal with my nervousness LOL. You'll feel a pinching sensation, and then immediately you'll feel like you're having a menstrual cramp. It's over so fast, and the convenience outweighs the discomfort. Full disclosure, I'm actually a little nervous about getting mine removed and replaced at my 5 year mark, but it's still worth it for me.

My most recent embarrassing moment: I was standing between a girl and her friend in a game of volleyball. I scored and she turned around, smiling, and it looked like she was extending her hand out. Me, thinking she wanted to congratulate me by shaking my hand, took her hand and shook it. I thought it was a nice gesture, albeit a bit unexpected since we barely knew each other, and was smiling until I realized she was stretching and the smile was directed towards her friend behind me. She was nice about it, but the embarrassing part is that this sort of stuff has happened to me more than 3 times.
I refuse to choose between 2 embarrassing stories:
When I was 14, two of my friends were dating and one decided she wanted to break up. Except they didn't see each other often and he didn't have a phone. I did see him, and had a phone. She somehow convinced me to let her text a breakup message to ME and then SHOW him. I had to stand there while this poor boy read that he was being dumped off my pink flip phone. He handed it back to me, said "That sucks." and walked away.
When I was 16, I worked as a cater waiter. One night I was refilling a vat of butter chicken at the buffet and someone bumped into me. Slosh, we're talking NECK TO BOOTS covered in this bright orange spicy nightmare. I needed the money so I had to clean myself off as best I could and finish the shift. Also I'm a vegan :( covered :( in :( chicken :(

here’s my embarrassing moment to share: told my crush i liked him. while my friend was standing behind me. crush said he didn’t like me like that but wanted to be friends. my friend comes up from behind us and says “ok now high five.” i don’t feel particularly embarrassed by it because it was just so hilarious

Embarrassing moment: freshman year of high school i was climbing the stairs to go to my next class and trying to look cute because my crush was right behind me. I fell, cut my elbow open, and blood started dripping down my forearm. In an attempt to look cool, I just picked myself up, looked at my crush, pointed to my elbow, and laughed. I spent the rest of next class bleeding on the desk because I was too shy to ask to go to the nurse. It’s been ten years and I still cringe.
I’ve definitely had a few bad period moments in middle/high school, I’ve tried my best to repress most of them but that story in the beginning just brought them back💀

Ok I got one:
Once I was in the subway station on my way to college (I live in São Paulo and it was rush hour, so we can imagine how crowded it was). As I was getting into the train a lady pushed me like 3 meters away from the door (at the time I was real skinny and malnourished, so I was easy to throw around). I got back up and ran to the train, but only my left leg made it in and I pannicked crying and screaming thinking "I am going to lose my leg and die of a hemorrage". A big beefy man (bless his heart) was able to force the doors open before my clear death, I screamed "thank you so much" and got into the train with mascara tears and shaking. I tried to play it off like I was fine, but the man asked me "are you okay?" and (trying my best to sound okay) I said "yeah I'm pretty fine" with the worst crying voice ever.
I went the rest of the trip with a blank look on my face listening to my music and everyone staring at me
i was the least favorite girl in my class, so telling ANYBODY my secrets was a risk. I told this one girl i liked the new transfer student that came in early in the year. kept trying to catch his attention by just being nice but the damn rumor mill turned everyone away. She told a bully of mine, then all his bully pals learned it, THEN THEY TOLD HIM. I still shy away from boys with his name, and when he tried to ask me out on behalf of a friend of his I IMMEDIATELY turned the both of them down "you know exactly why im turning him down, you WERE the crush."
I already know this is gonna make me cringe so bad. I have my puppy on my lap to hug for emotional support, I'm ready
I dislocated my shoulder playing badminton in PE when I was a senior in high school. I had to be taken out of the gym on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.

speaking of sweat...freshman year drama class was right after my P.E. so I was sweating. A guy I used to have the biggest crush on said to his friend "Why is she so sweaty?". It was mortifying. I don't think he knew I heard him, but thanks to his friend who said "she just had P.E.". A true hero. but oh god...
when i was in 7th grade my choir was in a national choir competition and i accidentally came in too early after a rest in one of the a-capella songs. we placed 5th bc of me and to this day only 1 person knows i was the reason we placed so low
aight mine takes the cake- I was in 5th grade and there was a new kid in my class and he was poor and didn’t have a backpack. he was cute af and i was like “hey i saw you didn’t have a backpack, i have a extra one if you want it. “ Of course he said yes cuz this dude be walking into class with all his books and lunch and stuff in his hands. so the next day i brought him the backpack. I gave it to him at the end of the day but omfg. I used that backpack for a sleepover the weekend before and i thought i took all the clothes out but I left a pair of my underwear. DIRTY UNDERWEAR!!!!! When i gave it to him he showed other people in our class. and then he brought it over to me and showed me. i literally bawled my eyes out and ran out of the room with the backpack. I was so freaking embarrassed i literally wanted to kill myself. This still haunts me.

i had to get metal screws implanted in my jaw as part of an orthodontic procedure. i was fiddling with my phone to stop myself from crying. i pressed the home button of my iphone several times. i accidentally triggered sos, calling 911. i did not say anything. 911 called back to make sure i was okay. i did not respond. i made awkward eye contact with my orthodontist instead.
Oh man I have so many, I think my most interesting one was when in the 7th grade, I brought my lunchbox to school, and somehow a bunch of ants got inside my lunchbox beforehand. So when I opened my lunchbox, ants went EVERYWHERE, and I screamed “THERES ANTS IN MY LUNCHBOX” and I never lived it down the for the rest of middle school. Luckily I went to a different HS and uni than the rest of them lmao
