This was a fun project! I got some longer videos coming, so make sure to sumbscrimbo and uproot this vidya And check out my website for classes and other stuff: Nateweiss.org Thanks for being here I appreciate ya
Nice, very nice. You forged them, which is a hefty project; filed them into shape , then inlaid the silver! Time + Dedication = BEAUTY I really like them.
Great! I also come from the metalworking industry, I'm a CNC machine technician. I still remember that my teacher always said: "Toolmakers are the kings of metal! They master ALL types of metalworking! Turning, milling, planing, grinding, soldering, welding, forging, riveting, eroding, sheet metal bending, peening, casting... ..
Exceptional workmanship there! Not 100% perfect as if it’s been cnc cut gives it a unique hand crafted look and shows they were made with pure skill. Great to see people still appreciate hard work put into developing craftsmanship
@dacor1106 A compass is a tool used to draw precise circles. It has a pencil on one end and a pin/leg on the other, you put the pin on the paper and spin it, the pencil will then trace a perfect circle on the paper. It is used in everything from mathematics to cartography.
One hell of a attempt for a first time. I swear it's people like you that are going to make me go broke the fastest. Some people like paying for overpriced coffee, and some people like paying for high quality craftsmanship that's going to be there when my great grandchild turns 90. You're building something that has legacy and honorific integrity to it. Whatever the opposite of rolling over in your grave is everybody that came before you is going to do that. Should be extremely proud of yourself and there is no amount of words within reason that I could put here to say just how impressed I am with this. You are a very valuable person. Godspeed.
This looks amazing! And done by hand also? WOW! Great work my freind! Most people have no clue as far as the literal SKILL it takes to create something such as this BY HAND!
Excelente! Very clean and smooth really digging this as a person inclined to mechanical mechanisms and such. The smoothness and how well the fit together when closed 🔥🔥🔥

This is unbelievably impressive to me. They look like they were precision made in a factory.
“i had to spread them apart to do them evenly…”
that’s what she said.
Read that in @CinemaSins voice
Aww you beat me to it i was gonna post the same shit but write it out in Peter Griffin's voice LMFAO 🤭😆😂👏🏼🤣😭💀
Literally what I was looking for hahahaha
Didn’t see this until after I made my comment

Looks absolutely great! Very clean aesthetic. If I hadn’t seen watched you do it, I’d say it was machine done!
Looks really good I can't wait to see your progress in the years to come
That is a beautiful pair of dividers. Love them. Hard to believe they're hand made.
This is probably a dumb question, so apologies in advance, but I'm not familiar with this particular tool - what's it used for?
@@pizzlerot2730 It's a compass. You probably had one in school with a pencil attached to one end. I don't know why he's calling it a divider.
@@EikottXD how is that a compass? And why would you attach a pencil to a compass?
@@_Dacor Google school supply compass.

it basically pair of compasses but for marking metal.
for doing circles, marking pivot points, of just marking where to cut
