where's the video about installing "the system"..? you talk like you've shown the installation of what's going to go under the vanity, and like you've talked about the pump before, but i can't find the video..?
@@TheHandyman1 I bought a Saniplus for my basement, however major plumbing company in Portland, OR charge over 25K for installation (my home used to be a light-industrial building) , and I have to pay 25 K for finishing a 10 by 6 bathroom . Are this prices reasonable?
When you cut the shhh.... Was hilarious. That's pretty cool. I'm curious to see how and if a sink is going in. It's been a while since we had any bonus footage!
Last toilet I bought wasn't even close to flat. So there I was at home depot unboxing 7 toilets until I found a flat one. Can't find an employee to help you with a forklift or finding an item??? Start unboxing toilets. They all start showing up then
I'm glad I found this video. I'm getting ready to install one of these to create a bathroom in an upstairs/attic space. I was wondering about building a platform, so seeing how you did this is encouraging.
I installed one of these saniflush systems with the separate pump and full size saniflush toilet with upper tank - and it did keep a full bowl of water like any standard toilet. I also have another style Saniflush that will go in my bathroom that I am building - it’s the all in one unit - no tank, pump is tucked underneath- I hope this one has standing water! Yikes.
Great Video. Do you have the previous video where you actually installed the pump. I would like to see how this is all connected under the floor. Thanks!
All electro-mechanical devices either require maintenance or repair at some point. How to you get access to the "poo shredder-pump" when it needs such maintenance? Other than that a great solution to an uphill battle.
7:57 I so LOATHE that float adjustment type, which see a lot of nowadays, can’t really escape them; as 2/3 houses will most likely have 1, lol. But they can be a pain, especially when they fail and ya get that whistle. Also, I like the “WolverineBrass finale ultimate toilet fill valve”, as they just last, imo, and feel/seem “beefy” and good quality. ✌🏻
Looking forward to the vanity build! I've used 2 lb. mass loaded vinyl in my rental for noise reduction, it does help. I read it's installed in higher-end vehicles and boats for sound damping.
Excellent install Handy. Flashlight was a nice video tip. I just did my first shower pan following your instruction. Being honest it ain’t as easy as you make it look. New respect for your skills. Take it easy!
8:40 "You know, when you got a really big one in there". All this was missing was the Brown Trout reference. Now where else are you going to see content like this other than the #1 Handyman Channel in the world?
I prefer using the better than wax silicone toilet rings. I hate cleaning old wax. My number one hated thing in plumbing. I've been using the better than wax rings for 2-3 years now, and have had zero issues, zero call backs. It seals every time.
Can't wait to see the cabinet. Maybe see an extra large door and a 2 piece removable bottom giving you enough space to do any future maintenance. One of those sink bowls that sits on top of the countertop would give you more space in there too.
I didn’t know that those way long bolts snap off! Gonna go do that after the video is done. Does anybody know if you can buy the little white caps someplace?
Man....toilets suck, they're freaking heavy and awkward back breaking, especially when you have to lug the old one out of a tight bathroom, through the house and out to the truck......yeah a dolly would help, but one would have to not be brain dead and remember to bring it.
Can’t wait to see the custom vanity! Everything is looking good so far. I think once the vanity is in the sound of that pump probably won’t be much of an issue…hopefully
So, can honey and slickdeals be used together, as slick-honey-deals would be REALLY nice to have😉 And your right Handyman, you need to higher that tile contractor, b/c they did FANTASTIC job on this install, amazing👍🏻 Never used this toilet system/water closet before; and was cool to see it; as does give you options when need options😁 Hope having good days, cheers✌🏻
Any special reason you have for sticking the wax ring to the toilet first instead of on the floor then setting toilet? Also, why not use the "not wax" rings?
I wanted to use this one up. I had had it in my trailer for a while. I use waxless rings all the time. There is a link in the description of the one I use.
The counter top along the back of the toilet? Guess where things that were on the counter top disappear to? Ask me how I know. My father would get very angry when he would end up fishing one of my toys out of the trap. Other than that he always had a great sense of humor.
8:44 know we should be “eco friendly” but the 1.0 gpm dual eco flush toilets, just are not my fav to install, use, or even look at, lol. See over and over ppl wanting and such; than up converting to a non dual flush, and going 1.28 gpm. For me, I’m old fashioned when comes to toilets and washing machines…..I like using water to clean clothes (as that’s what cleans clothes best, don’t care what ppl say, it’s true and good old machines LAST; and same with toilets😉) and flushing a toilet; b/c no one likes cleaning toilets, let alone one that doesn’t flush everything down very well… ✌🏻
what's with all the poo talk handy....is no one gonna use that thing to pee ...jk...thanks for the tip on being able to snap the bolts...that was unknown to me
So many juvenile laughs in this one. -💩 humor -“deez nuts” -“no kink” while a big bearded dude rides a toilet reverse cowboy Your writers are the best!
Man I always know where to go to get ideas for solutions for my clients. I have a similar situation for a client but they have a slab foundation… I may have to build an exterior housing for theirs. My main concern is the what if scenarios and the maintenance aspect. But other. Getting a little dirty I think this is a great solution for the design issue they are facing (both your clients and mine). When you make that wrap around counter top… I don’t suppose you’ll be making it a two piece? It sure is a pain to maintenance those toilets when a shelf or countertop is right over the tank lid. Almost no other choice than to take the entire tank out to be able to get my fat head to place I can see what I am working on!😂. Great job as always!
FYI The pump won't pass nails. 3 days after I installed it. It stopped working. I went over and pulled it apart and found that I had let a nail fall down into the toilet waste line. Doing a flapper change will be a PITA with the counter top over the back to the toilet.
Really didn't want to watch this 😝 but my loyalty to you & your content outweighed a possible pile of poo poo. Something to brag about at the dinner table tonight, HM. 💜
A fat person would have a hard time sitting on the toilet because it's so close to the shower. At least that's the way it looks to me. Love the channel

You missed an opportunity to test the flush with a banana or something of that nature.

Yep I always just head right up the mobile stairs and start digging through their inventory, someone usually shows up pretty quick

From a flat floor to a nearly done bathroom. Looking good, looking good.
I'm loving your channel sir. Thank you for providing the value.
Thank you
Great Video. Do you have the previous video where you actually installed the pump. I would like to see how this is all connected under the floor. Thanks!
Hahaha “what’s your gonna do, is throw this right in the trash” that had me in stitches.
Is there no video of connecting the plumbing for this bathroom? I’m awfully curious because there is almost nothing about the sanigrind pro.
All electro-mechanical devices either require maintenance or repair at some point. How to you get access to the "poo shredder-pump" when it needs such maintenance? Other than that a great solution to an uphill battle.

Did you make a video of the final bathroom with counter?
Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
The craftsman ship is great as always, but man what a pain in the ass to service 5-10-15+ years down the line.
Why build a custom countertop that goes over the tank? Wouldn't it make it difficult to change seals when you need to access the tank?
To put candles on.
awesome video with and honest instruction. Thank you
I like the flashlight tip. So simple but brilliant. Thanks!!
I installed the same toilet today for a customer and had the same kink, cut the line and moved on.
Have you tried the newer non-wax seals?
Not too shitty! I mean shabby! 😆
I didn’t know that those way long bolts snap off! Gonna go do that after the video is done. Does anybody know if you can buy the little white caps someplace?
Dentist's office. A really REALLY bad dentist... ◽👅◽
You think you can install this kind of plumbing throughout your whole house for multiple bathrooms?
So what happens if a big ol s__t gets stuck can you plunge it with a system like that?
LOL
@@TheHandyman1 lol😂 serious question tho can a plunger be used on a system like that?

I don't know bro, the streak mark after the "plop and slide"? A little noise would be tolerable, in my humble opinion,
