The XL should fit you perfectly. You're a similar size to several of the fellas in our office and Todd is the only one who wears XXL. IF you're planning to wear it in extreme cold and need bulky layers the XXL would be a good choice but it will be roomy without those layers in warmer conditions.
Thanks for the review it’s extremely helpful bc the retail stores here where I live don’t carry many Sitka waterfowl pieces. Unfortunately I can’t try any of these waterfowl Sitka systems on to see what I prefer and what fits best, so this video is helpful. This video is better than looking at Sitka gear in a magazine. Please do more Sitka waterfowl gear pieces if possible. Thanks!
I say their stuff is 100% the most true to size stuff on the market, and don’t have a problem with needing a larger size to layer up. I have the medium Hudson jacket and it’s sized perfect to run either the medium gradient or Fahrenheit jackets under it without it feeling tight or constricting movement. I think hunters are just used to the generous sizing of most other outdoor wear. I’ve measured myself and order the size Sitka says for the measurements, for both jackets and pants and it’s always been a perfect fit. I wear a medium T shirt for all your average t shirts, and wear a medium Sitka jacket and honestly the fit feels like a custom tailored fit, not too tight, but not baggy with too much extra fabric either.
Great review! I also have the same problem of not being able to try the stuff on. I wear a size medium in the Hudson jacket, which I already have. Are you wearing the same size jacket and bibs?
Our blinds are pretty rough and we do a lot of run and gunning as well... a local gas station has killer breakfast burritos and most days we've got at least one tucked in our waders. Don't judge, lol.
Sorry for the late comment but for size comparison I’m 5’10 225 36x32 waist and looking at buying them for goose hunting and ice fishing most likely wearing sweatpants and jeans underneath what size would you recommend getting?? Thanks
XL for sure. I’m 5,9 205 lbs. I wear XL. They fit great. Little roomie but I am not getting skinnier with age. The last thing I want to do is grow out of them.
Great review! Looking forward to seeing the places you use it!
We are itching for the waterfowl seasons to begin!
Great review, thanks for putting it together!
What size bibs and jacket are you wearing?
XXL Jacket and XL Bibs. 5'11", 245 lbs.
What size do you wear in the Hudson? Im 6’1 and about 210 pounds and im unsure of what size to get.

Thanks for the feedback Eric. Glad you found this useful. Be sure to subscribe and turn on your notifications so you don't miss the next Sitka review.
Sitka is the best stuff out there by far but if your buying a jacket or vest and intend on layering I'd buy up a size.
Thanks for sharing your experience Terry. It's definitely important to consider how you will layer when selecting the best size.

Yes, XL Jacket, XL Bibs... great fit!
Tell me more about the breakfast burritos....

Large should work fine but XL's be a bit roomier.
Go compare your measurements to their fit chart, it’s spot on.
XL for sure.

I am thinking about using this system for whitetail in Michigan. I really love the timber camo style, but how quiet is it?
It would work to keep you warm and dry but it's designed for waterfowl so it's not as quiet as Sitka's whitetail systems.
I’m also from Michigan and I’d just get the fanatic set it’s supposed to be the quietest set Sitka makes
Does the fabric of the bibs protect your legs from briars?
Yes, this is a very rugged system.
When did Bert Kreischer start doing Sitka reviews??
LMAO!!! We wish Todd was that funny
