- This is a list of what I consider to be The Alchemist's 10 greatest beats. This is not in any order, though just want to say the last one is for sure my favorite.

The Alchemist has been involved in 975 projects as of now in his whole career .
home girl has been through it !
It's crazy how Alc has a signature sound that manages to mesh well with so many different artists. Curren$y sounds nothing like Boldly James, Boldly James sounds nothing like Nas, and they all sound incredible over ALC production.
Defo the most “adaptable” producer there is
Boldy James was signed to Nas for a while tho around when he first linked with Alc
In fact he dropped My First Chemistry Set while he was signed onto Nas’ label
@Darius Dossman that's a fact, but he still doesn't sound like Nas in anyway. He's actually closer to Prodigy in sound
not to mention Action Bronson and Freddie Gibbs and Roc Marci
Man I had no idea Alc did the FEAR beat. It all makes sense now
Had no clue he produced the fear beat…but it makes total sense now
Same
Trying to come up with a top ten for this man is just crazy. As someone who tries to check out every single project he's involved in, it would be hard for me to list a top 50. Top ten is just nuts bro but appreciate the effort.
Love the kind words man 💙
was thinkin the same. I was ready to hate on this video too lol.. Hold U Down was on here so list is valid ...
That was my first thought
@@shamsta19 bro honestly feel free to hate on it… The Alc is so good that everyone has a different top 10 and most choices would be valid. Go ahead brother lol
💯
Phone Bill - Boldy James
Brickmile To Montana - Boldy James
$500 Ounces - Westside Gunn
BBS - Curren$y
The Type - Curren$y
Indian Summer - Armand Hammer
God Is Perfect - Freddie Gibbs
Quantum Leap - Roc Marciano
89 Earthquake - Larry June
This is my list but yours is fire too🔥
Great list, especially the Armand Hammer shout
@@kristofklutz yeah Haram is insane
‘95 ghost shit by Conway and Westside is insane, one of the best beats I’ve ever heard
Quantum Leap solidified him in my top 3 producers.
I would like to add keep it thoro by prodigy and Frank Lucas by Freddie Gibbs to this list 🔥🔥🔥
he is so versatile, is crazy that he can do beats for westside gunn, k dot, Nas and boldy without lose his essence, such a great taste for instrumentals
Elizabeth for Westside Gunn is masterclass
Had no idea Alchemist produced red dot music, such a good beat
Best song on the album easy
Mac went crazy on this Al beat sheesh
@@ebwork3729 Bronson as well.., damn I forgot to credit him
Fr
@@kristofklutzdefinitely is the best song on it
Respect for Hold You Down being on the list
I've been Yelling he's My favorite Producer since the 90's, and he's STILL AT IT. 🖖🏾
Everyone's list is different. I can imagine many fans wondering where "Keep It Thoro" is, as well as many of his collaborations with Prodigy and Mobb Deep.
Agreed… it’s a war zone out here in the comments lol
Alchemist got Sooo many great beats that their needs to be a top 100 respectfully
I was today years old when I learned Alchemist produced “FEAR” by K Dot
They really need to collab more
He also did We Cry Together on Kendrick’s most recent album
@@TheTacticalMess yup… ngl but I wish that beat went to any one of the Griselda boys
@@kristofklutz They would’ve bodied it 💯
The Type is a crazy ass beat from Covert Coup. It's like tripping on acid doing 90 on the highway with the windows rolled down. One of my favorites lol
Floor Seats with Mach-Hommy always brings tears to my eyes. Al is just too cold, he never misses, so making a list like this could never be easy.
I need that Johnny P Caddy in there now
Cold beat……..Even colder verses 🥶
I would do a top ten for each year hes been producing. His style has evolved so much over the years but he always has that certain vibe that sticks with you. He's my favorite producer alive right now and that's saying a lot since he drops multiple albums each year. Enjoy seeing people's favorite Alchemist beats. So many to choose from.
This actually makes sense. Each year is a bit too much but he defo has distinct “eras” which I could do
Thanks for the idea man
everything he did for prodigy was god tier.
Man facts, they went to work and put out quality
Didn’t know he did “Fear”. Makes sense now. Shit is 🔥. Damn near outshines Kendrick
Quantum Leap with Roc Marciano is one of my all time faves. Definitely worth an honourable mention! Wicked list of beats :)
That whole album fire 🔥🚒
Bro the production on EMB was insane, cant wait for the Larry June, Alc collab next week.
@@DawwgHouse album friday im so stoked
@@iambvrd fr bro 89 earthquake is amazing
The whole Album alfredo and all projects with westside Gunn are best!!
That Alfredo album is legendary
@@holajovito6632 istg
his beats are so good, he's so versatile, I like listening to him 🙂
It’s crazy how this man puts out so much music each year and every project still sounds fresh. At some point I expect every artist to come to a standstill where they just sound like they recycled what they did before, but I have yet to experience that with Al. He is one of my top three producers ever. 🔥
For me, I consider Uncle Alc on the Mount Rushmore of production with Preemo, Dilla and Madlib
@@kristofklutz you’re not wrong. Those guys are PRODUCERS, not just a big ass name with 10 other producers having their say in what a beat should sound like. I’m looking at you, Puff.. 👀
@@kristofklutz Alchemist,Preemo and Zaytoven...
@@theoneandonly8504 fuck out of here. Madlib is way better than zaytoven the fuck
Elizabeth is an elite pick. Worst Comes To Worst gotta be my favorite though.
"Wish Chinegun could see me nowwwww"
that hook is just beautiful to me
not a bad list... Terry really up there, such a fire beat.... wish the version with MF Doom official drops someday
Man you can't make a top 10 of Alc beats there's too many gems. As a diehard Spitta fan I hate to not see any of their collabs on a list like this. Covert Coup was so well produced top to bottom.
Yer Scottie pippens is in my top ten for sure
@@joeswarbrick135 you already know. One of Freddie's best verses.
@@mikeporcaro1593 yer man , fucking love that track
Make your list. It's simple.
Ventilation and Full Metal
Surf N Turf- Boldy James
Air It Out- Big Noyd
Body Somethin- B Real
4th Of July- Infamous Mob
Classical- Sick Jacken & Evidence
One of the greatest producers
Hmm there are a couple I haven't heard yet.. thanks I'll check em out
Surf N Turf, gotta be my favorite one. Over time, I feel like Boldy and Al created together some of the best projects released latelty
That "body something" track with B Real from the Chemistry Files is on my top 10 without question! Can't forget "The illest" with Mobb Deep
Red Death is quickly becoming my fav beat from Al. It deserves more recognition. He was tasked with creating a larger than life cinematic end to a 10 year saga of HWH and he more than delivered. I can easily listen to all 10 min of that track
everything about that song puts me to sleep respectfully
Same. Alotta people haye that beat tho lol.
Nice List. "We gon make it" "The Far Left" and "No Idea's Original are forever top Alchemist beats. The 2 that I thought would be there are my favourite Al beats but weren't are: "Tick Tock" ft. Nas and Evidence's "The Red Carpet".
The best he just dropped with Larry June on 60 days up there for me🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the realest, keep it thoro, the illest
Slow roll - Boldy
Mac 10 rounds - Conway (that beat switch 🔥)
The entire lamb over rice album
Skinny suge - Gibb
Scottie pippens - Curren$y
Zig zag zig - Marci
Too many to mention, you just can't pick a top 100 never mind top 10
Appreciate the video though
check out:
scrape the bowl - boldy
double hockey sticks - boldy
Thug Muzik is one of my favorite beats. It hits me in my soul lol. And the entire Covert Coup album was great. Scottie Pippens is one of favorite beats on the album. Freddy Gibbs kills it on that song lol. There's too many to pick from
Man Keep it thoro!!! Prodigy!
amazing video cuh! 💗
Thanks man ❤️❤️
Keep making these videos man they’re dope
Thank you man… means a lot
I had no idea he priced FEAR and We gonna make it. My jaw dropped two different times during this video. Also was surprised about the Nas track and Red Dot Music with Mac Miller , these truly are not just some of Al’s best , but rather some of the best instrumentals to ever be produced ever. Please make a top 10 honorable mentions!!!!
every Al beat is crazy.. hard to pick a favorite
This was probably very hard to put together. Alchemist just has too much good ish to pull from. Great video
Nas , Kendrick , Action Bronson , Styles P , Jadakiss, Westside Gunn and Conway. What an unbelievable list of accolades. Alchemist is truly the most legendary producer to ever exist
Don't forget spitta!!
Ostertag is one of the most beautiful hip hops beats made
I rememeber being young studying my favorite producers and hearing “Hold You Down” and thinking “he didn’t start the kick on the one… why? That’s genius.” A lot of people do it but that was the first time i really noticed it in a tasteful way
Huge Alchemist fan, so I hate to do this, but the Nas “No Ideas Original” beat is a great name since Minnesota made that same exact beat 20 years ago
The Platform - absolute classic!! I love Al he is a genius!!
Hold You Down is pure 🔥🔥🔥
“Different Worlds” is mad underrated 🔥🔥🔥
Epic list bro
🙏
My Top/ Favorite producer 🔥🔥 hope to spit on one of his beats before I pass 💯
Wow! Never knew he made No idea’s original or We gone make. But my favorite beat of his is Frank Lucas by Freddie Gibbs.
Hold you down is one of the coldest beats 🥶 🔥
I did not know he did red dot music... 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Luv me a good Alchmeist beat it fits my often melancholy mood
This is now outdated that we got Meet The Grahams. That beat is so sinister and dope.
Yeah I’m actually making a revised list.. and changing from 10 to 20 since I’m going nuts
al such a legend man
I love his muffled snares
alc is a legend and early inspiration for me. i do dock him points for being so deep in the game and never really producing his own stuff and relying so heavily on samples
Sampling is an integral part of hiphop/rap so I don’t hold it against him. The fact he has the ear for some amazing samples and chops is praise worthy
Gangsta and a Gentleman 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can appreciate it even though it completely differs from my top 10 ALC beats.
dude is brilliant
Good list. Three bonus beats I would pick would be L.A. River Drive, Back Againg and the Red Carpet!
Yea that Red Carpet 1 of my favorites 2
Creative list. We had a few in common.
Thanks man, means a lot!
I like that Murda Muzik beat alot too... well chopped. Out of these; that The Platform takes the cake !!
It’s my personal favorite along with We Gonna Make it
Shit, the Albert Einstein album with Prodigy is enough by itself..Rip P
Hold you down🔥🔥🔥
Been rocking wit ALC since 1st Infantry!
Good list E. coli with earl is my favorite personally
Dope list. My personal favorite of his is "Medusa" used by Willie The Kid
Thanks… Medusa is a great pick as well
didnt realize no idea's original was alc.. but i can def hear it now lol
We gon make it 🔥
KEEP IT THORO!
These beats are so good
They absolutely are man 🔥
Because he's the GOOOAT!
That beat on The Far Left is goated
5 to 50 by Benny off The Plugs I Met is one of the craziest beats I’ve heard in a minute 🔥
Always thought the platform Bear was insane. Glad to see it on here. But honestly Alc has so many god level beats that a top ten list doesn’t even scratch the surface.
Absolutely.. you can see the comments on how everyone has a different top 10 lol
Prodigy's song IMKDV off the Albert Einstein EP🔥🔥
Tick tock that instrumental rocks for me
Saturday night special with Curre$y and Gibbs is a shout as well
That'll Work with Three Six and Juvi is pretty fire too.
Some Gangster Shit with Fab
Calmly Smoke
Prodigy - Keep It Thoro
Evidence - Beats Like This
Evidence - So Fresh
These are fire too, but definitely We Gonna Make It tops the list 🔥
Keep it thoro is top 5 maybe
This is hella accurate!!!
Much appreciated man
the beat he did for Long Time by Mach is top tier IMO 🔥🔥
I did not know he made we gonna make it, wow!!
No waayyy… that’s like the quintessential Alchemist beat lol
Bring it on with Terror Squad is 🔥
Larry June -Breakfast in Monaco
In my opinion Evidence - Letyourselfgo gotta be one of the top ALC beats for sure
We cry together🔥🔥🔥
Dammnnn yall gotta add "Keep it Thoro" 💯
Love the beat
Which one lol
Too many to choose from - Shine is goated imo
Man i didn’t know he did FEAR……now I know why it’s my fav song on DAMN
Evidence's "Red Carpet" might be his best beat imho
Bang bang is killer respectfully
alchemist a legend
"Throw It All Away” , "Worst Comes to Worst, "Back Again", Piano Love, Baby $hit, The Elephant Man's Bones, So Fresh, See The Rich Man Play, Liz Loves Luger, First 48 Freestyle
see the rich man play 🔥💨
Scottie Pippens- Currency
Boldy James Illegal Search and Seizure is angelic
Al has never been underrated. And I say that in a good way. It just took to long for people to recognize how good he really was!!
Bro been top level since early 2000s when I was freshman high school. Glad to see young gen can appreciate it
