This was Napoli's best match of the season. I would say Osimhen put in a man of the match performance. Truth be told, he wasted a few chances but redeemed himself by creating several chances for his teammates before he scored Napoli's second. The result does not reflect the reality of the game. Napoli's coach ruined the match by making totally unnecessary substitutions, including the Traore-Ostigard substitution which contributed to the Roma equalizer. Roma did not deserve a draw. Napoli were unfortunate on the night.

When Jose was sacked Roma were five points off 4rh place. The first half of the season was always going to be difficult when:
1. Roma sold Matic and Ibanez ( not replaced ) late in the window.
2. All Pre-season without a top striker.
3. Injuries to Smalling, Abraham with Dybala consistsnt niggles.
4. New signing (especially those late in the window) can take time to settle.
5. Jose did not get the Jan window opportunity to bolster his squad
