people complaining about his "long intro", but if you can hold patience for 20 minutes, the pictures are worth it. This guy is hugely underrated i guess. Some amazing street photographs, and the honesty with which he narrates is good to hear as well...totally worth it!!!
Everyone is complaining about him talking but take the moment to listen and understand whats behind the photo. Anyway his photos are really really amazing!! What a great eye!
I guess that's the way you watch movies too huh? Skimming through the set up to get to the action. What is the point of enjoying anything without understanding its context and background?
@@jacoville You decide you know something about another person based on a five word comment they made four years ago? Maybe you need to reflect on your ability to hold judgement, and not make assumptions.
Starts really at 18'30" Great photos well explained after that. I would hate using a flash whilst doing street photography, but I like the effect he achieved with this technique.
The photos are great, His life history is very good as well, he sends a message, be opened to the choices that life offers, Chinese medicine and macro-biotic food has nothing to do with photography...but all came well for him.
Loved this video. Great Street Photos. This photographer is a down to earth guy, who admits that some of the shots are luck. Some of the Street guys talk about rule of thirds, composition, the decisive moment etc for scenes that are available for only a fraction of a second.
It's a real pity that street photography died when cellphones and internet reached the masses, as Sandler himself said: "There is nothing more boring, nothing more nondescript and vacant than a person on a cell phone walking down the street. They seem to be out of the game... People are walking around in bubbles.” Nowadays street photography is pretty much all the same, same subjects, same style, no personality.
I like depressing images but not these as they're too random and offer no sense of resolve. There was a few I really liked, the subway ones in particular, but most were just flat and uninspiring. I understand that it's real life, but that shouldn't be a pass for creating images that don't really offer much past that sentiment.
Gave up after 16 minutes of I did this, I did that, I did the other, etc. and non-photography related stuff. Don't know when the actual showing of pictures really started, but I can't take it anymore.
Bzw. was hättest du erwartet?

Thanks to Richard Sandler and B&H for this interesting video. Great photos and well told of Richard.
55:27 the fact that the wall behind the sign had the word ''munaafiq" in arabic which means hypocrites , really adds to the photograph

The pictures tell a story, but the story is open to interpretation, that's why they're interesting.

Did you have to get models releases because you made a profit with their images?
You should of titled your class, ‘’you know’’
What is this Tri-X?
What lens did he used?? 35mm 2.0????
He mentioned that he mostly used a 28 or a 35
took a while for 'm to get going.

I like this guy, I'm sick of his political rhetoric but its with good intention, I forgive him.
Yeah, come in late and take all the limelight why don't ya.
So many depressing photos with such a depressing tone. Can't keep watching.
Great pictures, not so good presentation.
