    Do your feet feel better at the end of the day than they did at the beginning?
    If not, it's because your shoes aren't letting your feet do what's NATURAL.
    Your feet are made to bend, flex, move and FEEL the world. One-quarter of the bones and joints in your ENTIRE body are in your feet and ankles; you have more nerve endings in your soles than anywhere but your finger tips and lips.
    Comfort and performance come from using your feet naturally.
    That's what Xero Shoes let you do.
    - Natural Fit -- wide toe boxes let your toes spread and relax. A non-elevated (zero-drop) heel for proper posture.
    - Natural Motion -- super flexible to let your feet bend and move naturally. Low-to-the-ground for balance and agility.
    - Natural Feel -- the patented FeelTrue® soles give you just-right protection while still giving the ground feedback your brain needs for efficient, natural movement.
    Plus they're affordable and so durable that they have a 5,000 mile sole warranty.
    Hundreds of thousands around the world have discovered the fun, the comfort, and the benefits of natural movement ... whether you walk, run, hike, workout, do yoga or CrossFit, or even work on your feet all day.

    I've worn these types of shoes for 2 months now, at first my feet, ankles, knees and hips hurt. But I stuck with it and in such a short time my balance got better, my running got better, I can stand longer in the day, and my feet don't hurt after a long day of work. Who the hell knew that barefoot shoes would be more comfortable

    It's been almost a year since I started my journey with these. My feet still feel awesome and my toes can spread out way further, which before I started this, I struggled to even move my big toes. Here's something that makes me even happier. Now my grandparents have their own Xero shoes. At first, they were iffy about them, especially my grandpa, but after some time, they finally looked into it and finally decided to give them a try. They both love them! Thing about my grandpa is that he was a really good runner in his youth. He'd run lots of marathons and win races. He was super passionate about it. Then, surprise, in the 70s around the time the "running shoe" was born, he started having trouble and after a bad knee injury from soccer, he couldn't run anymore. He's now 73. He has a replaced knee, replaced shoulder, had spine surgery, flat feet, and has bunions. He's always had trouble walking, especially in shoes. He got his xero shoes and he quickly said he loves walking in them. Which was really surprising for me to hear, because he's not easy to please! So many thanks to you, Xero shoes!

    I’m currently 19, and since I was 17 I had HORRIBLE shin splints along with some back pain. I would have to wait weeks just for it to go away only for it to IMMEDIATELY flare up again, which was annoying as hell. Thought I would have to give up running for good. Then I found out about these shoes and heard so many good things about it, so I gave it a go. It’s been almost 2 months now, and there isn’t a TRACE of shin splints left in my legs. No back pain either. Glad I found out about these while I’m still young. Definitely gonna wear these for the rest of my life.

    Like some others mentioned, I almost never pay any attention to UA-cam ads. But for some reason, this one caught my attention. At the time, I had never even considered barefoot shoes, but I still found this very interesting.
    Long story, but I bought the Xero HFS shoes as I was dealing with some ongoing foot issues and dealing with a related foot injury. A family member had recommended these and I remembered the ad. :)
    It took some time getting used to them. But I could tell my feet were getting stronger. After about 3 weeks, I was wearing them for everything but running. Once I finished rehab for the injury, I started introducing them into my running. I'm up to 20 minutes of running in these, twice a week. It's a gradual increase, but I'm hoping to eventually phase out my other running shoes. Anyway, I'm sold. In fact, I just ordered a pair of the Melbourne boots and they're supposed to arrive today. Keep up the good work!

    2 days ago I helped load 800 straw bails from a field onto a trailer and then stack those 800 bails into a quanzit wearing my HFS Xero shoes. I'm 36, over weight and out of shape, so my body has been aching since, but not my feet. Even after all that my feet felt great.
    Likewise, a normal day of work has me standing still almost all day and my feet always used to ache, not just in the evening after work, but even in the morning the next day. They don't ache anymore.
    I admit my first 3 days although I enjoyed the mindfulness of feeling the ground beneath me, my ankles were so stiff because I had not been using them properly for most of my life and then all of a sudden I was. The first week left my foot muscles behind my toes irritated and sore. But now that my feet have gotten into shape, I have much less pain then ever, and it's not because they are being supported, but rather because my feet are now working the way they have been made to.
    From Canada, thanks again Xero Shoes.

    I bought these based in this commercial and I love the shoes. At first it was weird, I don't go barefoot alot. I wear sneakers in the house, too. But, after about a week of my feet and legs getting used to it and being sore, I cannot go back to regular sneakers. I ended up buying a pair for my wife, as well as their boot version.
    My feet don't get fatigued, and my balance is better because my feet and legs got stronger from using my feet the way they are meant to be used, without all that "support."
    Sneakers is like wearing a weight belt everytime you lift weights. If you wear it all the time, your body relies on it, and you get weak in the areas the belt helps you. Eventually, when you do anything without a belt, you hurt yourself. Same with sneakers with tons of support. It make sense.

    I broke my ankle years ago and all the doctors wanted to put me in shoes with high arch supports I tried that for a year I ran across a doctor that believed in minimalist footwear and special exercises for the feet basically walking barefoot on different types of terrain. I can now walk several miles in the woods and hike like I used to!
    When I see people walking bent over limping crooked I want to tell them about minimus footwear and the benefits! Some people will listen to you however some will never change they will wear the high hill foam shoes to their grave because the orthopedic surgeon told them you can damage your feet without arch supports! When you first try minimalist footwear and walk barefoot you gotta go slowly 15 minutes the first time and build up from there! I actually prefer walking barefoot on gravel and dirt trails like the gentleman says in this video your feet tell you how much pressure do use with your knees and hips! Tremendous improvement in back pain also! Again I repeat make the transition slowly!

    I was first introduced to the barefoot movement 7 or 8 years ago when I purchased a set of Vibram Five Fingers - They were so comfortable that I wore them everywhere! However, after some time I found it difficult to keep them from becoming quite putrid in smell (LOL)......
    I let them go some time ago, but had discovered within the last year that my knees were becoming increasingly unhappy with the constant strain from a job & lifestyle that is highly physical, which includes days where they (particularly my right knee) would be inflamed for days, & would retain impressions for many moments after kneeling upon the ground for instance - ouch (I simply figured that for SOME reason I would require a surgery at some point)
    After a while, I tied the connection to a pair of Keen trail boots when I realized that the symptoms increased after a period of time working in them (thick soles...).
    Afterward, I began wearing my Van’s to work, and my joints thanked me - my knees have been largely pain free since I switched to minimalist style shoes, but there was still something missing....
    I then began to scope out my barefoot options, and finally purchased the Toronto’s several days ago! After wearing them a few times to work & play, I can happily say that the toe box was that missing piece for me - no more straining and curling my toes during those LONG work days, and yes, they are so comfortable - like walking on clouds ;-)
    I immediately received compliments when I wore them out to eat, as well as at work from different clients (I found it funny that 2 different, unrelated gentlemen compared them to wrestling shoes the first day that I wore them to work hehe) !

      @stevenford3334 4 роки тому

      Hahaha!!! No it doesn’t. This guy is doing nothing but “selling” his product. The claims he made about feet and how “other” shoes harm your feet are laughable. Seriously, I laughed several times throughout this video. Zero drop, flexible shoes cause harm to our feet because our feet need protection. They do not need to work harder. Sorry but if you believe this crap, go ahead and waste your money. Your feet will prove me correct in time.

    • @xeroshoes
      @xeroshoes  4 роки тому +1

      Actually, my claims come from research demonstrating this simple idea: using your body can allow it to be stronger and function naturally, and interfering with natural movement and sensory feedback causes problems.
      It's common knowledge that in modern running shoes ~50% of runners and ~80% of marathoners get injured every year. So, shoes aren't doing what people think.
      Research from Dr. Christine Pollard shows that padded shoes don't reduce impact forces, which can lead to joint injury and disfunction.
      Harvard's Dr. Irene Davis treats runners by getting them OUT of motion-controlled, padded, heel-elevated shoes and into zero-drop, flexible shoes. Those shoes still provide protection, but let your BODY provide the shock absorption and spring.
      Harvard's Dr. Daniel Lieberman (and others) have shown that getting OUT of padded shoes helps you put LESS force through your joints because your muscles, ligaments, and tendons, combined with a gait where you don't overstride, provides better "shock absorption" than foam (which quickly breaks down).
      Research shows that merely walking in a flexible, truly minimalist shoe strengthens your feet as much as doing an actual foot exercise program.
      Research shows that putting arch support in the shoes of healthy runners results in a decrease in foot muscle size and strength in as little as 12 weeks.
      Other research shows that squeezing your toes together (the way they do in most shoes) impairs blood flow into your foot... I don't imagine you think that's a good idea.
      And, of course, if your feet can't FEEL the ground and, therefore, send information that your brain uses to effectively move all of your body, that can lead to instability (among other things)... and, padded, stiff shoes prevent your feet from getting and sending those signals. This reminds me of a customer who was AMAZED at how much he could feel in Xero Shoes while still feeling protected... which was a big deal for him because he is blind (he said it felt like having a whole new sense).
      If you look at the guidelines given by the American College of Sports Medicine (see ua-cam.com/video/C6lFJ6gLI7M/v-deo.html) they recommend something MUCH closer to Xero Shoes than to standard running shoes (and they've done so even when they receive funding from a BIG shoe company).
      They say these are the qualities of a good shoe:
      1) The #1 function of a running shoe - protection for your foot
      2) Too much padding/cushioning can result in GREATER force through your joints
      3) Arch support or motion control can cause biomechanical problems
      4) Get a wide toe box so your toes can splay
      5) Length should be 1/4″-1/2″ longer than your toes (the lower for a truly minimalist shoe)
      6) Lighter weight is better
      7) A flexible enough sole to help build foot strength
      I could go on... in short, the research is contrary to what most people believe after 50 years of marketing from big shoe brands.
      I hope this was helpful.

    • @VPC
      @VPC 4 роки тому +1

      Xero Shoes Completely agree! When I ran Track and Field I would always end up “scuffing” the bottom/front of my running shoes because my body always felt like my feet were supposed to be closer to the ground than they were. This caused instability and also a few falls here and there. Definitely felt the “stilts” sense that you described in the video. I’m 5”8 175lbs & do a lot of walking and occasionally running + weight lifting during daily life. Any starting Xero shoes you’d recommend?
