The film that was released in 2016 was later marketed as "Ghostbusters: Answer the Call" so there wouldn't be any confusion between the 1984 film and the 2016 film. They should've scrapped that one and had Ghostbusters: Afterlife released in 2016 instead.
I saw Ghostbusters in 1984 as an 8 year old child at NYC movie theater and, 5 years later in 1989 Ghostbuster II came out. Saw that at the of age 13 years old in New York.
For some reason the bit when Ray reverses and drives the Ecto-1 through the crowd is my favorite scene instead of the one where it unveils the car when they go to their first call🥴
Lol, this movie actually scared me when I was about 5. By the time I watched it, the second one had came out. Lol Slimer scared the hell out of me coming out of nowhere!
Ever since I had first seen the 1984 film, I had often wondered why Ray was wearing the ecto-goggles (or paragoggles as they were referred to of the 2009 video game). (0:36) Maybe the reason why he was wearing them was to make sure that the building was clear of ghosts or any other traces of P.K.E. valences. I had also often wondered why the cast list didn't come first of the end credits. (2:34)
