In short, an ISSO is a Vulnerability Management SME at the end of the day. If you know a specific tool? Congrats as you do ISSO duties around that tool and the systems you're responsible for.
Am I going for an ISSO job? Not really as companies poach me for these opportunities all the time. Again, if someone is a VM SME they are in essence an ISSO and are share the same salaries...honestly.

The best way to start your first week after orientation is to request a hard copy of your assigned system SSP and read to know more about your system before your accesses are provisioned.
