One thing citizens that move to Gaylord need to know, that getting appointments for medical, dentist, or any type of medical, can take months to be seen.
Thinking about moving to the Gaylord Michigan area in 2026. Would be coming from Tulsa Oklahoma area. Tired of a heat down here, to go home back to the Great lakes where I'm from.
It's is home to me , always has been. Unfortunately had to move because of the auto industry in Michigan 20 years ago +. Northern Michigan does not rely so much on the auto industry . There are other industries up through thriving.
Gaylord has always been a great place to live.. the people that run that town have the right politics .. it's a powerhouse of capitalist and free enterprise .. the sky's the limit and you will flourish in this town..😊
I am considering northern Michigan for summer home after retirement. So, not worried about snow or traffic. Is Gaylord good for retirement living in the summer?
I believe it is. When someone asks me where the best place to retire is, I always ask them what they want their lifestyle to be like. Do you want to relax or be active?
40k sq ft is actually pretty small - the avg. TJ Max is 30k - A Meijer store is 150-250k sq Ft. Even the Kohls I worked at was 55k - I’m not sure of how much impact it will have on the community - it will be interesting to watch.
@@genodangelo my wife passed away this weekend. My oldest lives in Gaylord with her family and my youngest lives in Vanderbilt with her family. I am looking to get out of Livonia as soon as I can. We have been talking about moving but my wife’s condition prevented it.
Gaylord sucks. Every day I wish i lived somewhere else. Gaylord used to be awesome 24 hour stores, a good night life, not anymore. Everything is priced ridiculously, no stores open passed 9pm. Walmart closes early. Businesses on 32 suck to get in and out of. Gaylord sucks.

Hi there! We had our first person call us to move here because they do deliveries for Amazon. I have a feeling more are coming.
How much of an impact do you think this will have on Vanderbilt properties?
Not sure yet. Could have some over time.

@@williamdowden4494 Im so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you. Obviously if you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask
Just curious if you’ve heard of Costco coming to the Gaylord area? I’ve heard some rumors going around about this.
I have not. It wouldn’t surprise me.
Run away. The politics are horrible. Traffic is horrible. I wouldn’t move to gaylord again if the houses were free.
Gaylord is nothing compared to traverse city
@@kalamazooracingyikes I didn’t know that.
