Another great tutorial! When the Economy Quilt Block Foundation Papers first came out, I made a cross stitch pillow using the 12" block. I had a cross stitch Halloween Witch that I knew would be the perfect center the 12" papers. I enjoy foundation paper piecing, because your blocks always turn out perfect! Thanks FQS and Lori Holt!
So cute! I love bowl fillers and have made many. Another tip; right before turning right sides out, at the opening fold back each fabric in line with the stitching and press (either with your nail or an iron) to form a cress line then it's easy to know where to stitch and to keep it perfectly lined up. I also add a button on the back to wrap a ribbon loop on if I want to hang it from a cabinet knob.
Love your pink shirt. Adorable and always a great color for you. I love this tutorial, and I’m so thrilled I’ve already got everything I need, including the cross stitch pattern for the cute pig!
Thanks for the tip of inserting a scrap piece of batting into the opening before stitching it closed. You also answered my question of having some kind of fabric behind the cross stitch piece before making into a pillow, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. I stitch on 14 count Aida, so I was concerned about that. Thanks FQS! Blessings and take care.
I always hated the stuffing coming through the opening, what a wonderful hint with batting!! Once again you knock it out of the park! Fantastic video, using different ideas for finishing. Thank you all!🥰🌹
Thank you, Kimberly for the video of the most adorable little pig bowl filler. You did a great job showing us how to make it with the best hints. I just got my new cross-stitch patterns from Lori the other day!! Y’all have the best ideas!❤️😍
Thanks Kimberly for another great video! I love your tips about putting the batting in where you stitch it closed & also the one where you put interfacing under your cross stitch piece! You always have great tips & they are appreciated!
Thank you for showing us how to make little bowl pillows. Where can we order the pattern charts? I would like to make them and put them in a large dough bowl that belonged to my grandmother. Thank you again for a great project. 👍🌷

I have made all of these patterns into bowl fillers and change out with the season. My daughter says she will give them as favors at my funeral! Always a comedian.

In the preview, it stated a "bowl pillow". So, I must be crazy because, What exactly is a "bowl pillow" ?

Ok, similar to scented sachets 😍
During the video, I kept wondering what was a bowl filler pillow. I never heard of such. It's a cute decorating idea, if you don't have cats! ;)😻🐾🐈⬛
Which of Lori’s project s use the Aurifloss ? Do the floss cards use Aurifloss?
Hello Donna! Most of Lori Holt's projects use Aurifloss except for the stitch cards which typically have a DMC thread pack.
