Hey Chuck, I’ve been in the Fire Service/EMS for over 27 years, was raised by hard working, godly parents and so when we watch y’all’s videos we feel like we relate to y’all pretty well. I too just lost my dad (Sept 11th) after an extended illness. So, I believe I know where you’re at right now. Just wanted to drop a comment and let you know I’m praying for y’all. God bless y’all!
Chuck I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of the primary care providers for my Grandfather at the end of his life. While it was hard it was truly rewarding now that I look back on it some 10 years later. I am thinking of you and your whole family you will be in my thoughts an prayers. God bless you all.

What a blessing to have gone so quickly and peacefully, my Mom passed 4/7/24 after a couple of years with dementia, peacefully in her sleep and Dad did the same in 2015. As Christians we are able to gain great peace and comfort in this trying time knowing Father God is with us always. May God continue to bless you and yours, most especially with continued peace and JOY in knowing we will be reunited with those that have gone ahead. Thank you for your many wonderful videos, please continue as you can, they are a wonderful source of knowledge we look forward to and need in these trying times.

Wow, your dad was young! I can say that because I will be 76 in less than two months. Sorry for your loss but I agree with you that he didn’t have to suffer like so many do who have the diagnosis he had. And you know where he is and you will see him again one day. I pray your mother will be ok. I lost my husband almost 6 years ago so I know it will be a big adjustment for her. God bless your whole family!

Sorry to hear of your loss. At least he didn't have to linger on for so long, I agree. My grandmother just found out she has another cancer spot on her breast, and she will be 94 years old in December. She already had two removed a couple of years ago. I love the pigs, they are my favorite animals, but you have to do what is best for you. Wishing you luck and much healing.
I lost my dad 1 year ago this month.I know what you mean about nursing homes, due to health problems I've been a resident for about 4 years and I am 63 years old . Prayers to you and yours. Lost my beloved mother 2 years ago.They were married in 1959 before I was born.
Sorry about your Dad. I lost my 96 yo Mom in July. It's not easy but she's not suffering anymore. Prayers.

Sorry for your Loss Chuck. Lost my Dad a couple of years ago after his 4 yr stint in a skilled nursing facility. Like you mentioned , while you will be missing your Dad, at least he did not linger helpless for a very long time. God Bless.
Hey Chuck so sorry for your loss. It’s tough for sure we’ve lost two family members this year one just in the last few weeks. It’s a constant reminder how precious life really is. I agree about the marriage, I think God everyday I was brought up in a hard working two parent household. This day in age it’s so rare anymore and it’s so sad to see the kids just get drug along the way they are. It’s no wonder the world is in the shape it is in. Kids literally don’t have a raising anymore. We’ll definitely keep y’all in our prayers!

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing I'm glad he did not suffer as so many do. My dad died years ago he had colon cancer he did not die of colon cancer he died when they gave him a shot and it was an overdose. We just never know how our life will be or when it will end. May both of you and your family be blessed

I have been praying for you with these days of needing to help the family at the passing of your father. This life stage can sometimes be very exhausting. I agree with you that swift passing is better than a long, drawn-out dying process. A godly example is a far greater inheritance than possessions and money. May God grant you his comfort and may your new normal be filled with new laughter.
I don't know if I can make the mental adjustment. I think of you as the pig farmer who raises chickens and beef on the side. How can an old guy like me make this adjustment when I have such a tiny little brain?
Glad God gave you a calf at the same time of the loss of the cow. Joel Salatin doesn't do any cow/calf pairs he feeds out weaned calves as this is the shortest route to grass fed grass finished beef.

So sorry for your loss y b3st to you and your entire family and i agree totally for someone to pass as themselves instead of lingering on for years is a true blessing, my dad passed within 3 months of being diagnosed with cancer,i said the same i was glad itwas short and not prolonged for his sake.

Chuck, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Like you, I was also grateful that my own father passed the same way - in just a few weeks after getting a lung cancer diagnosis. I was relieved that he did not suffer long as so many other folks have.
Your father is in a better place now - and while the feeling of loss and the pain that goes with it never fully goes away, it does get less sharp. After time passes, we remember the good times more vividly than we recall the sad ones.
