my paternal great grandmother made a dollhouse for me when I was younger. it looked similar to this. I'm watching your video to learn how to make one for my own daughter :)
Genius!! That drawer for the electric wires and in fact, the whole lighting set up is the best. I wish I were as smart as you!!! Thanks for sharing all of you videos!
Turned out great!! Never heard of that brand before, Love your bright lights, nice to see a house all ready to move in. I am a but disappointed that the bay windows don't really add any usable floorspace to the interior, so it's just a cosmetic feature. I think I'd rather have the windows letting in light while the house is open. I guess this one isn't designed to spin around. The drawer is a great touch. I think all houses should have a drawer underneath for seasonal decorations or extra furniture maybe.
Hello I just recently bought my first dollhouse kit it is the Victorian Allison jr. from real good toys and I have always dreamed of having my own miniature dream house to have until I got my real dream house. I am 18 years old and very new to this hobby I am very impressed by the outcome of your dollhouse. I wondered if you could give me any tips before I start building as I will need as much help as I can get to make it look like a home of value. As I plan on this house being my starter practice kit then selling it to buy a bigger better dollhouse that resembles my dream house. I would love to add electricity and functioning accessories but don't know where to start on learning how to. Do you think adding real lights would be too complicated for a beginner or easy enough to figure out
+Ali Vanessa Adding real lights is not complicated at all. There are many light kits available with detailed instructions if you don't want to go the "scratch built" route like I did. Have fun with your dollhouse. It's a very time consuming but fun hobby. My daughter is still playing with hers every day even after a year. The only toy that she comes back to over and over.
Are you still building the other melissa and doug that was for your daughter? I thought that was this house. But once i saw the inside i realized it wasnt. Love to see how that one has finished up
Rebecca Chewning Thank you for asking. Yes, I finished the other dollhouse for my daughter. It turned out lovely. I haven't gotten around to posting a video because I have too many projects that I'm working on. :)
I just bought this kit second hand for an amazing deal. I haven't done a complete inventory yet but I believe it may be missing some parts. Do you know where I can order spare pieces? I am so excited to get started!

Then go on Pinterest.com type in the name of the doll house it will show you how people decorate it. Also go on UA-cam and you can see how it’s built if you can’t follow the instructions good luck
Hi, I building a similar dollhouse to this, in fact it is pretty much the same as this kit. I found the plans here: www.houseworksltd.com/pdf/1001-Dollhouse-Plan-Book.pdf I want to light up the rooms as you have done on separate circuits with separate switches. I have already bought a battery box, 2-core wire and 8 toggle switches. The question I have is, could you assist me how to wire up the LED's? I have bought a string of warm white LED fairy lights, they consist of 100 micro LED's all wired up as far as I can tell in parallel. I want to cut them up into 10 LED's connected to 8 circuits with 8 switches and to a single battery power source. Can you help me with this circuit diagram? I see a resistor in the battery box so I assume I will need such a resistor in each circuit? I see you are handy with electronics so am hoping you can assist me. Thank you Kevin
I didn’t know Melissa and Doug had a dollhouse kit, what an excited little girl you are going to see when you deliver this. You did a wonderful job.

Rebecca Chewning q
How did you make the interior trim? Door jambs, shoe base, etc?
You can buy the interior trim at a local dollhouse store if you have one, or through Amazon like I did.
