Jerry Stiller is a comedic genius.
He is also my favorite character on the show. You got the A the B the C and the D - thats the biggest.
It's almost as if Jerry's and Larry's greatest gifts were in recognizing great talent, providing some guidance, but then getting out of the way and allowing the actors create the magic.
For me, the interaction between Jason Alexander and the actors who played his parents- Estelle Harris and Jerry Stiller, was the highlight of the Seinfeld series. I loved the Costanzas!
what brought the show from being good to being genius was the portrayal of the parents. the seinfeld's, del boca vista milieu, and the costanzas. we dont like to admit it, but we all have relatives or parents like that. it is universal, that's the strangest of it all, wherever you go there is always an uncle that grabs you by the arm and want to tell you how fabulous your cousin is.
when he was talking about Jerry I thought he meant seinfeld
