In my journey to becoming a Christian i never asked Christians anything much.. I went to the source.. I Got a Bible and read it.. I became a Christian through reading the Word of God because in the end Christianity is all about your relationship with Jesus.. Your response to His Word.. It should never be founded or determined by ones relationships with other human beings who identify as Christian.. Humans being faulty will let you down.. But the LORD will never let you down..

Jesus' love changed me. And learning of Forgiveness. Since becoming a Christian, I've fully embraced love and forgiveness. Before finding Jesus, I was a very grudgy person. And I realized that much of my struggles in life involved me holding on to traumatizing and painful memories and experiences that I refused to let go. When I prayed and forgave my Mom after what she did to me when I told her of my change of religion, I told God that I forgive my parents for all the verbal, emotional, and physical abuse as well as every bully that picked on me. I was on my knees and I assured God that I forgave everyone that had wronged me in life. And when I did that, I immediately felt the change. I've been reading the Bible so much and lately, I've had a hard time stopping. Yes, I've not been wanting to stop reading the Bible.

Forgiveness brings peace of mind. It doesn't mean denying the wrongdoing, but reflecting on our own faults in order to gain perspective. Jesus said we must forgive not only 7 times, but 70x7. I think about this every day. Forgiving your own parents for their faults and shortcomings is one task of old age.

Thanks for sharing! I think it's unfortunate that many Christians today use "we all fall short" as an excuse to live in sin rather than working to stop their sin. I'm not sure if this is an issue of those born into the church that just haven't taken the time to personally grow closer to God, but it definitely seems common amongst those types of Christians. And I'm definitely ashamed to say I was one of those worldly Christians that were born in the faith, but I'm thankful that God called me back to him and out of my sin (went from being a Christian only in name and living in the world to agnostic before God called me back). I'm now back in church and reading my Bible and praying more than ever, without these things you'll almost always end up living in sin because those are the things which grow us closer to God. It doesn't work to simply go to church on Sundays, we need to put God first always and make time for him daily.

When i was a muslim the simply question to Allah "is quran the teaching of God?" Jesus Christ visited me in dreamt and said "if you dont come to me, i wont come to you". Yet actually already came to me for then 8 years later i converted to christian catholic. As it the answer of my question, the teaching of God is Bible.

Thank you for this. I needed to hear this this morning. I was one of these lukewarm christians until a couple weeks ago. This has really convicted me to completely surrender my life to Christ and repent from idolatry. Us truly being authentic witnesses of Christ, light and salt of the world is very serious and critical for the salvation of unbelievers.

You are so right about compromised Christians. I have been one of those who was saved at 19 and fell away into the sin of the world several years later. I always believed I remained saved but was far from God. Many years later God kept giving me a dream for a year of a delapadated house that I was ashamed of. In the dream every time He would lead me to most beautiful room in my house I never knew existed. Pristine and lovely beyond my imagining. Immediately after that He led to commit myself to reading the word of God every day. I read through the Bible 3 times then started studying the word of God through an amazing teacher named Derek Prince. I've journalled most of his teachings over the last 10 years. I realized how far removed I had been from God and knowing Him intimately. I'm so thankful for His faithfulness and mercy in my life. There are many who have lived like me. I am so thankful! I thought that I was a believer, but there is something that happened to me resently that it changed my mind, and possibly my life. I was born in a Christian family, and notaly my mother was a really religious person. When I was a kid, I didn't read the Bible, but I often hear those incredible stories about Biblical characters, like Moses, Jesus, Elijah, you name them. I believed them we I was a kid and literally prayed some Psalms with my mother. But then, I was starting to suffer. Everything wrong that I was doing, my mom used to punish me severely, even beating me. And I even prayed to the Lord asking him "Why are you letting this happen?" And it gets worse. I entered school, and I was bullied. I prayed asking the same question....I only received silence. I guess that I never really saw it it coming, but I stoped believing because of this silence. Because I didn't saw the reward of Jesus. So I turned myself into sin. Watching porn, liying. But some of them had some big consequences. Even one of them turned my mother into a monster. When I was a teen, I still wanted to believe. So I went to a church and confessed my sins. The priest said "Only my telling the truth to your parents, confronting them with your lie will let you free, and I promise that God will forgive you" I felt good at the confession, but then when I told my mom about it, not only she had putted me down, telling that I lied to the priest, but told everyone about that. As my mom was a devouted Christian, I was done with God. Because not only I felt that he didn't answer to my prayers, but that that if people called that forgiveness, I just couldn't do it anymore. I became ruthless after that. A bully. A prideful man by his accomplishments. A started to sin again, telling myself that I didn't need God. And I saw the exact thing as you. Poeple who sins in secret, deceiving others. I caused suffering and I suffered because of this. Even saw my own family taring itself appart, got disowned by my mother, living two years in absolute solitude...all of this, still feeling empty inside, a guilty conscience, but I didn't realy cared. Because I was prideful that I survived all of this....evil. It was like I was fighting a losing war against the devil himself. Then, something happened. A girl. The moment I set my eyes on her, there was something that attracted me, a purity that I couldn't explain. And guess what? The moment she set eyes on me, that girl loved me. Just as you with that high-school of yours. She didn't really promoted the Bible because we didn't really discussed what were our beliefs. But I could tell that she was doing everything in her power just to spent another moment with me. But two mounths ago, Cancer struck. She didn't survived. But at her last days, I was there with her, telling her my story of how I overcame dispair. It was basicly faith that something better will come up one day. But in our conversations she told me that everything was planed by God, and that if something unfortunate happened, she will wait for me in Heaven. I was strucked, when she died. And of course she neede help to pay with the surgery. What did I do? I remembered the story about the good Samaritan, so I acted like it, because I loved her. I payed for the rest of the surgery, even though short in money, I told her to hug her parents and to thank them for their care, and to them that she loved them very much. And she had done just that. Why did I do such things? Because I loved her. And that's what I must do at the moment to give her hope, it was the right thing to do. She died from the surgery the next day, but then I realized something that I never did when I was mourning her. She was in an astonishing amount of pain, taking Chemotherapy, lost her hair, her weight and she was on a horrible state. But one question that I asked myself that made me realize that Jesus was the true savior. Here it is: "You did so much wrong that you don't deserve this love so pure, something that you never received from anyone. She died saying 'I love you'. She suffered in the hope that you would be with herwith the Lord, because that was arenged by God. Is this very felling that Jesus was feeling when he was being crusified? Was this unrepayable and undeserving love that Jesus was feeling when we tortured him like this, to save us from our sins? This even more perfect love, because He is God Himself?" That question alone had me the urge to finally start to read the Bible, because I want to know him, truly know who He is, in order to have this hope to be with my girl again, because I know that she rest with the Lord, because she trusted him and soread love all around her even on her last breath. I just hope to follow Him correctly this time, so that I can be in a better place then this cursed world, with him and my loved one who is in Heaven (I believe that she is, because she showed that she had, even an insignificant amont, faith, and Jesus did said that the doors of the Kingdom of God will be open to those people too) I just hope to see her again, so I try to turn to the Lord By reading his Word. I hope that I doing it right, even if I don't know if I'm still going to Hell, wich is the last place that I want to found myself into.
Wow how beautiful, the Lord is faithful you will find such beautiful love with Him. Your relationship with the Lord is yours alone, it doesnt matter how religious people act, it doesnt define the Lord because Jesus is meek and humble and forgiving. God says I will not remember your sins anymore right. And says though your sins are like scarlet I will make them white as snow. Make time each day to just talk to the Lord about what you are feeling, how life is and everything, He is such a beautiful and trustworthy company. And remember there is always price to pay. I myself am in the verge of paying the price with everyone in my life ,but Christ is greater.

One advice to avoid becoming a toxic Christian: If someone asks you about God/the Bible and you don't know the answer to their particular question, it's better to be honest and say you don't know, but you'd like to find out the answer with them. The shame of not knowing is nothing compared to the shame of fabricating answers, incorrectly witnessing, and ultimately driving someone away from God. Jesus can fight his own battles. Your job isn't to win an argument, your job is to bring lost souls to Jesus' healing. Attract flies by honey, not by salt.

I have children that are living sinful lives and have completely walked away from God and all I can do is pray. But I know the time is short. They know who I am and shake their heads like my faith is a form of age induced delusions. Heavy sigh. You spoke the truth. Your life journey within the fallen world and your encounter with self-proclaimed Christians should not surprise you, but it did because you did expect more from them, you were keeping them in a higher moral standard than the people you grew up with. I had the same experience with my surrounding when I was an atheist. "how can someone call themselves follower of Christ, and yet curse his mother?" That's what I was thinking. When I came to the UK and I took it seriously, then I realized that it is not them, it is my perception and my expectations. I shouldn't expect from anyone present themselves equally as Christ did. Same with pastors you might see on tv or in a church...anything other than how Jesus was or what the Bible says, is probably NOT a genuine pastor. I ALWAYS ask myself...is this how Jesus behaved? If behavior doesn't match what the Bible says Believers or Pastors should behave like, I stay away. I can pray for them, but don't want to hear false teaching. I've been a Christian over 48 years...yes I stumbled and messed up because I was a very broken person. I became a Christian through reading the Word of God because in the end Christianity is all about your relationship with Jesus.. Your response to His Word.. Jesus' love changed me. And learning of Forgiveness. Since becoming a Christian, I've fully embraced love and forgiveness. Before finding Jesus, I was a very grudgy person. And I realized that much of my struggles in life involved me holding on to traumatizing and painful memories and experiences that I refused to let go. When I prayed and forgave my Mom after what she did to me when I told her of my change of religion, I told God that I forgive my parents for all the verbal, emotional, and physical abuse as well as every bully that picked on me. I was on my knees and I assured God that I forgave everyone that had wronged me in life. And when I did that, I immediately felt the change. I've been reading the Bible so much and lately, I've had a hard time stopping. Yes, I've not been wanting to stop reading the Bible.

Forgiveness brings peace of mind. It doesn't mean denying the wrongdoing, but reflecting on our own faults in order to gain perspective. Jesus said we must forgive not only 7 times, but 70x7. I think about this every day. Forgiving your own parents for their faults and shortcomings is one task of old age.

You are so true. The devil is using islam and fake christians as a pull and push force to keep people in the darkness and not knowing the freedom of Christ and eternal life. I was ''christian'' for 42 years, until God made my eyes open to the truth and was shocked how I was ''dead in my sins'', and for months kept crying coz of my sins. God's name be blessed.
Thanks for sharing! I think it's unfortunate that many Christians today use "we all fall short" as an excuse to live in sin rather than working to stop their sin. I'm not sure if this is an issue of those born into the church that just haven't taken the time to personally grow closer to God, but it definitely seems common amongst those types of Christians. And I'm definitely ashamed to say I was one of those worldly Christians that were born in the faith, but I'm thankful that God called me back to him and out of my sin (went from being a Christian only in name and living in the world to agnostic before God called me back). I'm now back in church and reading my Bible and praying more than ever, without these things you'll almost always end up living in sin because those are the things which grow us closer to God. It doesn't work to simply go to church on Sundays, we need to put God first always and make time for him daily.

Thank you for this. I needed to hear this this morning. I was one of these lukewarm christians until a couple weeks ago. This has really convicted me to completely surrender my life to Christ and repent from idolatry. Us truly being authentic witnesses of Christ, light and salt of the world is very serious and critical for the salvation of unbelievers.

You are so right about compromised Christians. I have been one of those who was saved at 19 and fell away into the sin of the world several years later. I always believed I remained saved but was far from God. Many years later God kept giving me a dream for a year of a delapadated house that I was ashamed of. In the dream every time He would lead me to most beautiful room in my house I never knew existed. Pristine and lovely beyond my imagining. Immediately after that He led to commit myself to reading the word of God every day. I read through the Bible 3 times then started studying the word of God through an amazing teacher named Derek Prince. I've journalled most of his teachings over the last 10 years. I realized how far removed I had been from God and knowing Him intimately. I'm so thankful for His faithfulness and mercy in my life. There are many who have lived like me. I am so thankful! And Ty for your testimony and sharing the love of Christ ❤

I thought that I was a believer, but there is something that happened to me resently that it changed my mind, and possibly my life.
I was born in a Christian family, and notaly my mother was a really religious person. When I was a kid, I didn't read the Bible, but I often hear those incredible stories about Biblical characters, like Moses, Jesus, Elijah, you name them. I believed them we I was a kid and literally prayed some Psalms with my mother.
But then, I was starting to suffer. Everything wrong that I was doing, my mom used to punish me severely, even beating me. And I even prayed to the Lord asking him "Why are you letting this happen?" And it gets worse. I entered school, and I was bullied. I prayed asking the same question....I only received silence. I guess that I never really saw it it coming, but I stoped believing because of this silence. Because I didn't saw the reward of Jesus. So I turned myself into sin. Watching porn, liying. But some of them had some big consequences. Even one of them turned my mother into a monster.
When I was a teen, I still wanted to believe. So I went to a church and confessed my sins. The priest said "Only my telling the truth to your parents, confronting them with your lie will let you free, and I promise that God will forgive you" I felt good at the confession, but then when I told my mom about it, not only she had putted me down, telling that I lied to the priest, but told everyone about that.
As my mom was a devouted Christian, I was done with God. Because not only I felt that he didn't answer to my prayers, but that that if people called that forgiveness, I just couldn't do it anymore. I became ruthless after that. A bully. A prideful man by his accomplishments. A started to sin again, telling myself that I didn't need God.
And I saw the exact thing as you. Poeple who sins in secret, deceiving others. I caused suffering and I suffered because of this. Even saw my own family taring itself appart, got disowned by my mother, living two years in absolute solitude...all of this, still feeling empty inside, a guilty conscience, but I didn't realy cared. Because I was prideful that I survived all of this....evil.
It was like I was fighting a losing war against the devil himself. Then, something happened. A girl.
The moment I set my eyes on her, there was something that attracted me, a purity that I couldn't explain. And guess what? The moment she set eyes on me, that girl loved me. Just as you with that high-school of yours. She didn't really promoted the Bible because we didn't really discussed what were our beliefs. But I could tell that she was doing everything in her power just to spent another moment with me.
But two mounths ago, Cancer struck. She didn't survived. But at her last days, I was there with her, telling her my story of how I overcame dispair. It was basicly faith that something better will come up one day.
But in our conversations she told me that everything was planed by God, and that if something unfortunate happened, she will wait for me in Heaven.
I was strucked, when she died. And of course she neede help to pay with the surgery. What did I do? I remembered the story about the good Samaritan, so I acted like it, because I loved her. I payed for the rest of the surgery, even though short in money, I told her to hug her parents and to thank them for their care, and to them that she loved them very much. And she had done just that. Why did I do such things? Because I loved her. And that's what I must do at the moment to give her hope, it was the right thing to do.
She died from the surgery the next day, but then I realized something that I never did when I was mourning her.
She was in an astonishing amount of pain, taking Chemotherapy, lost her hair, her weight and she was on a horrible state. But one question that I asked myself that made me realize that Jesus was the true savior.
Here it is: "You did so much wrong that you don't deserve this love so pure, something that you never received from anyone. She died saying 'I love you'. She suffered in the hope that you would be with herwith the Lord, because that was arenged by God. Is this very felling that Jesus was feeling when he was being crusified? Was this unrepayable and undeserving love that Jesus was feeling when we tortured him like this, to save us from our sins? This even more perfect love, because He is God Himself?"
That question alone had me the urge to finally start to read the Bible, because I want to know him, truly know who He is, in order to have this hope to be with my girl again, because I know that she rest with the Lord, because she trusted him and soread love all around her even on her last breath.
I just hope to follow Him correctly this time, so that I can be in a better place then this cursed world, with him and my loved one who is in Heaven (I believe that she is, because she showed that she had, even an insignificant amont, faith, and Jesus did said that the doors of the Kingdom of God will be open to those people too)
I just hope to see her again, so I try to turn to the Lord By reading his Word. I hope that I doing it right, even if I don't know if I'm still going to Hell, wich is the last place that I want to found myself into.

Wow how beautiful, the Lord is faithful you will find such beautiful love with Him. Your relationship with the Lord is yours alone, it doesnt matter how religious people act, it doesnt define the Lord because Jesus is meek and humble and forgiving. God says I will not remember your sins anymore right. And says though your sins are like scarlet I will make them white as snow. Make time each day to just talk to the Lord about what you are feeling, how life is and everything, He is such a beautiful and trustworthy company. And remember there is always price to pay. I myself am in the verge of paying the price with everyone in my life ,but Christ is greater.

One advice to avoid becoming a toxic Christian: If someone asks you about God/the Bible and you don't know the answer to their particular question, it's better to be honest and say you don't know, but you'd like to find out the answer with them. The shame of not knowing is nothing compared to the shame of fabricating answers, incorrectly witnessing, and ultimately driving someone away from God. Jesus can fight his own battles. Your job isn't to win an argument, your job is to bring lost souls to Jesus' healing. Attract flies by honey, not by salt.

Thank you so much for persevering in order to make this video. My heart has been so grieved about the destructive work done by "tares" . I have children that are living sinful lives and have completely walked away from God and all I can do is pray. But I know the time is short. They know who I am and shake their heads like my faith is a form of age induced delusions. Heavy sigh. You spoke the truth. Many of the real Christians are elderly trapped in homes because they can't drive. So they worship and pray and pray and pray. God bless you young man. Brother in Christ Denis. Your life journey within the fallen world and your encounter with self-proclaimed Christians should not surprise you, but it did because you did expect more from them, you were keeping them in a higher moral standard than the people you grew up with. I had the same experience with my surrounding when I was an atheist. "how can someone call themselves follower of Christ, and yet curse his mother?" That's what I was thinking.
When I came to the UK and I took it seriously, then I realized that it is not them, it is my perception and my expectations. I shouldn't expect from anyone present themselves equally as Christ did. Because the pinnacle of Christianity is not the followers, although they should be a mirror, but Jesus' life, death and resurrection.
I thank the Lord that you shared your troubles with the community, and I hope more people will listen to you and go through a self-examination. Your testimony will help those who really want to get help.

He said....."It's not about the rules or the laws. It's about a heart that says..."God I want my life to be a reflection of You. I want others, when they see me, to see something different"
