Sad. The great John Miles passed away. December 5th 2021 aged only 72. The one piece of music that will forever send chills down my back. So great, so sad to lose him. RIP John.

What a Song i would rate this as high if not higher than Queens Bo Rap both were ground breaking tunes of the 70s No one had heard this type of sound before in a pop song, but it is common place now ( Dont forget High Fly his first hit ) This song will never be forgotten R.I.P John a Fan xxx

I met him in the mid 80's and shared a gig at the Billy Fury memorial concert at the Beck theatre we played at , lovely guy, so talented, he never got the recognition he should have, when you hear the crap there is around today.
A very large music icon has elated from us! Night off the Proms will never be the same again.

A magnificent musical masterpiece.
A song that was released when I was a teenager and had a profound effect on me from the minute I first heard it. Ive seen John live many times over the years and have always marvelled at how brilliant and mesmeric he was live. I could never understand how he wasnt as big a star in the UK, and must rank as the most underrated musician Britain has ever produced. This performance is as fresh and excellent as my first time hearing it all those years ago.

I met him and his band when I was on holiday in Ibiza with friends in 1985/6. He was playing at the Heartbreak Hotel just outside San Antonio. Couldn't believe it there he was playing "music" and who was in the audience no other than Robert Plant . We chanced our luck at the end and went backstage and shared a spliff or too with the band . you couldn't make it up. R.I.P.

Literally stopped me in my tracks when I heard about his death this morning. Was never that keen on 'Music' (I was more into punk), but 'Slow Down' was the best disco-influenced hit song of the 70's. Gone, but not forgotten.

Heartbreaking. I don't do envy, but I saw Tina Turner on stage at Portman Road in Ipswich during a concert in 1990. Tina Turner did this thing where she pinched John's derriere. There was a wee bit of envy of that moment. My friend and I had one of best night's ever at that concert. Everyone on stage was at the top of their profession. A great and memorable event. Rest in Peace Mr Miles. You will be greatly missed.
