As a Finn, I can't make out all the lyrics, but most of them. Floor is amazing, and I appreciate this performance and I feel this as an honor from her to take time and show some love for her Finnish fans.
This is from the annual Raskasta Joulua (heavy christmas) tour (cancelled this year). There Finnish metal musicians and some guests perform famous Christmas songs with some metal twist. Floor has been one of the guests for many years. They show the final concert on one of our main tv-channels at prime time. And yes, Floor is divine. Merry Christmas to you Christi, and all the fellow Nightwish and Floor fans out there! ⛄🎅👍

Finland has this thing called 'Heavy Christmas' Raskasta Joulua, It Is basically heavy singer's who sing all the Christmas classics in heavy arregment.
Floor and Marko do an amazing rendition of Ave Maria at this show too. (Different year though)

I've watched a few different performances of Raskasta Joulua, and I think we need to promote this festival as much as we can. Granted, a lot of people don't speak Finnish (me included), but they really put on a great show. It is multiple venues through out Finland and Raskasta Joulua means "Heavy Christmas." I really enjoyed your reaction too.
This years tour was cancelled and replaced with on line consert so everybody can take a part in it. Tickets available here

Floor looks so happy and shining
It's not just a concert, its a full tour. Raskasta Joulua (Heavy Christmas) started a an album in 2004. Erkka Korhonen is a mastermind behind the concept. He takes christmas songs and puts a metal twist to them.
2005 they started touring in 3 cities. They've released 7 albums since and last year they had something like 23 concerts in different cities all around Finland.
So the band ONLY does Christmas songs? I thought that was just the Trans-Siberian Orchestra...
@@jamescurfman3284 Last year they turned old Finnish popular songs (that doesn't translate well imo, but not sure if there's better translation to the genre of that music style) to metal and made an album.
Each member of the group have their own projects and time tables so you can imagine there's some adjusting to make these conserts happen.

"I just want her to be my best friend." - Yes Christi, you're not the first reactor to say that. And that's exactly how I feel and I think that's what most reactors and fans feel after getting to know her lovely personality from the Nightwish videos, Beste Zangers videos and from her own UA-cam channel. There's something unexplained about her that makes me feel joy and tenderness. It's silly, but I once sent a comment to Floor's video on her channel and when she replied: "Kiitos!" I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day, ha ha.

What a lovely composition! I loved her classical voice, and the clarity and bright fullness of it. What a treat! To sing this way, and with this much breath control while 'curling' several pounds of baby in every breath, all while said several pound baby rests against one's diaphragm and reduces lung capacity is no joke. Unless, of course, you are Floor, who makes this seem absolutely easy ... She seems to be using more of her interconstals, too, which helps, but, oh, wow for the feat of singing this way while this far along in her pregnancy. She looks radiant. Absolutely stunning. Thank you for this treat of a reaction!

In Finland we have this thing called "Raskasta joulua" loosely translated as Heavy Christmas where known heavy metal singers and musicians are performing tradional christmas songs. It's very popular and they have been touring since 2004. In Finland we have most metal bands per capita in the world so you can imagine metal is very popular. So why not christmas songs too :)

For the English speakers, in Dutch zangeres=female singer. But also, zwanger=pregnant. So this combination zwangeres meaning pregnant singer is not an an official word, but it is absolutely inspired. I bow deeply to my very creative compratiot.
It's now June 14th 2023 and 2 days ago I went to a nightwish concert with Floor around 7 months pregnant and it was as powerfull as ever.

This song is tough to sing in Finnish because the vowel y in the word "jouluyö" is closed so it clenches your throat (sorry, not a music person myself). "Raskasta Joulua" "Heavy Cristmas" is a project started 2004 by producer and guitar player Erkka Korhonen. To keep heritage going on they will do a live stream concert (never seen, don't know players), but taking in notice that there are 70 bands/100 000 while
US has = 72/ 1000 000 - perhaps rather good ones 😁 If it's as they say that baby in womb can hear the music played to them Her daughter Freya is born symphonic metalhead, LOL...

As few have mentioned, "Raskasta Joulua" (Heavy Christmas) is annual Finnish Christmas concert tour (since 2004), where known rock/metal artists perform rock/metal arrangements of traditional Finnish and International Christmas songs. She has indeed a divine voice and iron lungs. Even when pregnant. As she admits to smoke a cigar occasionally, I don't think she inhales, haha. Love that woman, just does her thing whatever people think of it. And that character is I think the secret of her posture on stage. She is who she is, and she convincingly radiates that out. No room for inferiority complexes here!

A good way to think of it is, Raskasta Joulua is basically the Finnish equivalent of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They feature a lot of guest vocalists each year, and Floor happens to be a relatively frequent contributor.
And Finnish isn't her native language, yet she did amazing job, especially as Finnish is a very hard language.

They cancelled this years Raskasta joulua tour, but they have a live stream concert instead.
Good choice, just my choice would be (and is) the 2019 version. The quality of her singing is slightly higher and the sound is a warmer and deeper. The whole setting is a bit warmer.
