Epic summary! I really REALLY hope this added level of Ancestry customization sticks. I also would like to see some of these Perks specific to the caster classes. My biggest critique of the first packet was that casters felt less fleshed out and less flexible than the martial characters. Sort of the reverse problem of 5e.
I’m not so sure I like adding decisions to the ancestries… there’s already so much work you have to do when making a level 1 character, I’m not sure they need more decisions. I also feel skeptical about adding secondary features to the resources. If they make them passive buffs/features, then I think that’s awesome, but I worry then that actually spending your resource is gonna be too punishing, and you don’t want to discourage using the resources. Then again, they’re the pro game designers. I’m sure they’ll find what’s best!
@@the_dice_society You put the effort in and those who struggle with similar issues can notice. It's very much appreciated and makes the podcast a lot more accessible I think.
Thank you for all your work. It saves me time reading Discord.

James mentioned that stuff like Arcane Trick is becoming a Perk, so I have to assume that more caster Perks are coming!

Kudos on your accent, unfortunately some of ours can be horribly cringy but yours is quite pleasant.
Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes I have to do three, four, maybe five takes of a paragraph because some a is tripping me up...

Hmmm surges and shields seems like too much to track in addition to all other stuff
