Thank you, Professor Zigarelli, for sharing these US Employment Laws videos on your channel. I'm currently reviewing for my PHR Certification exam and your discussions have been so valuable in clarifying and reinforcing what I'm reading from my study guide, especially on the court cases and SC decisions. You made it pretty easy for me to understand and appreciate these legal matters as they impact the HR roles. Wish you all the best. Cheers!

I learned the hard way that other employees can still discriminate against you even though the employer cant

Can you ask why you rejected in an interview? Vs you and a person that did not meet the job requirements and you did in all factors?

In South Africa we have the most fair labour law system. American labour law is ridiculously unfair.

What about being fired because of absences due to surgery from work related injury

If it is a covered absence under FMLA then that might not be legal.

I dont even know if there is a federal Employee Law. I am sure that each State has its own, very diffrent Employee Laws. New England Staates and Hawai have the best Laws for Employees, Texas and many South Staats have the worst Employee laws!!

It would be illegal to terminate somebody for being late and upon subpoena of the time cards I was never late what would you do

No. That is not covered until title VII

@@Not_Always title 5? Searching more info. He lied about the reason for separation and I lose my employment over the boss saying I was late. I was never late, not one time... time cards proved he was lying to the unemployment tribunal judge. Unreal

In South Africa you will be reinstated if you refer a case to our Commission of conciliation arbitration and mediation. We have the best labour law system in the world.
