Yo, there's levels to this shit. Royce left earth on this verse.
and he still took an L
@@adilrah5718 Stop the fucking cap
Took an L. Lmao lupus rhymed lame and game and fame in a bar . Gtfoh sayin nickle took an L bro he was literally exploiting his scheme and pocket style to show lupe he not close to being on his level. If royce want he would destroy man's with ease. I get sick an tired of people thinkin they know rap . Before lupe got tipsy on live n decidee to act tough he worshiped the ground this man walked and that ain't change lmao. It's a reason royce respected in the real rap game. Don't get it fucked up
Facts
Royce unmatched lol
This go super hard, Royce is amazing. It's not a full on diss but it's verbal sparing
I agree, Royce is a blessed lyricist 💯💯💯💯!!!!
Back 2yrs later and this still slaps like a black mother when you talk back
Or a slave when he disrespects his superior white owner lol.
The fact that people think Royce "lost" because he didn't "diss" separates the fans of drama from fans of the craft.
So you are just admitting it’s just a regular track and not a diss track, don’t claim Royce won the beef when he never dissed him. Corny.
@@mitre10_trolley3 idc about the beef this song was fire
@@TheSinatra I care n lupe ended this boy...royce ain't picked a mic up in yrs😂😂😂😂...luoe still dropping albums...royce still got writers block 😂...lupe nothing 2 play with...top 5 lyrically all time.....
@@jamaaldavis7907Royce proved his point about the entire argument they all were having. Royce was talking about rapping and styles. Lupe did some simple shit that Royce could’ve done just to have guys like you saying he lost the beef. Who song gets played more and dissected and who’s was just a moment. Royce winning the war. Lupe won a battle.
@@lecurymccray5804 royce got smoked..n hasn't rhymed since bruh...period.
Both diss track is fire!!! But yall gotta really dissect what Royce is saying. Lupe is more direct and personal.
Lupe forgot to flex he let his emotions take away the fun part
💯💯💯
Royce killed him.
@@kerrysanders4416 he did it because Royce kept saying that Lupe was too technical or something along those lines. They basically swapped styles and Lupe still bodied Royce
Yo bombed this joint🔥🔥🔥
I don't think there's many rappers out at min who could drop a diss track this long with this much multis and references while still flowing so smooth the whole time barely even stopping to catch a breath
@ybk lamar agree to a degree, Lupe line for line has more punches and substance as disses but royces multi syllables are next level non stop that long
"Masculinity ain't toxic it's the absence that is"
@Factual 1 that line is relevant rather he lost or not
And yes Mickey did smoke Royce too lol
Like saying “drivers aren’t drunk” or “behaviour isn’t reckless”, like weird flex to make a bar out of misunderstanding a concept
@@thagrammarnazi Yh but he's tryna say that toxic masculinity isn't masculinity at all, it is just toxicity, and the label of toxic masculinity is deeply misleading
Royce came a long way from d12 beefing, this still a master at art, both these brothers put out thought provoking work and it’s fire 🔥
Took him how long to get nice and how many ppl had to help him? One came in with shiny du rags and the other came in dropping classics and turned down a Roc deal. Royce ain’t on lupe level
Lupe Fiasco is my favorite artist but Royce has elevated the bar with this. Game has been set this is mature hiphop beef in its purest form.
Two of my favorite MCs are about to break the net.
Wishing thinking. uTalking about a culture who let Mf doom rot for 2 whole months before anyone noticed. Hell, we was even close to losing CyHi the Pryncess Diana style
Lupe all-day

This shit is so good, I can't even listen to it because I will subconsciously start writing in the same style..lol..

I need a dictionary, thesaurus and an encyclopedia when listening to a Royce track. Damn I love this. Immaculate, intricate hip-hop AND I learn whole lot
Bruh snapped I ain’t gone lie .
Most underrated of all time. Challenges of being ahead of his time.

Hip-Hop is amazing. 🙏
Royce was checking all the boxes…
Not even try hard either, lol
Royce is still lyrical royalty, this type of flow really needs a battle with Daylyt. Awesome work kid I love it.
Yes my favorite lyricist at it again by the way this is before I heard it
💯💯💯💯💯✊🏿👑
This beat combined with the flow makes me want to get up early 7:00am jump in the car and cruise ATLANTA all day pull up on all my family and just enjoy the time we have left together... Ill buy the drank smoke food and anything else needed 😏😏😏💯💯💯
On this track its almost like Royce is sad he even has to do this to someone he cares about.
these are some of my favorite lyrics of any song. Royce is crazy. This beat needed some EQing and his voice needed some processing. Still entertaining but I wish he went for release quality instead of demo mode
Lyrically this is one of his best songs of all time imo
@@tryppidreams 💯
This is really, really good.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOT DAAAAAAAAAAMNNN SHEEEEEEEEESH!!!!!!! 🙄🤦🏾♂️💪🏾🐐🐐🐐🔥🔥🔥🔥👑👑👑👑☠️
yep
When royce was saying how people are trapped inside syllables, he was projecting crazy. He was always talented with his pen and created that short bar, long bar, end it with the rhyming the short bar scheme with bad meets evil. But that was it. He got stuck inside how great he has to be, how he has to syllable.... and it is expected. Put himself in a box, even to this day. Like he said about marshal, when you do it too much you ring your own bell and tell on yourself. He told on himself. Plus he punches in every other bar and the mic quality gets loud as hell each time. Clearly can hear him just writes, drops 3 bars, stops, drops 3 bars, stops, until he has 7 minutes of it.
"punch in, yo face" - lupe

Lupe poked the bear. This exactly what he wanted Royce to do. Drop bars with current events in a clever way.

Technically royce started all this shit
Royce nice but lupe lupe got em. Royce spit on this but lupe response had more substance with bars. He on royce the whole track.
OH STOP . LUPE STEVED JOBS HIM ALREADY

I commented this before I heard Lupe response. I like Lupe diss more cuz he was coming harder with personal jabs.
Royce was flexing his lyrics in a technical manner. This is great for Hip Hop.
Ppl debating back and forth on who won but at the end of the day hip hop wins
Royce bodied this...underrated diss track
It seems to me that “Nickel” is getting better with time?
Hysterious!!! Touche! 💯
Hes reached alpha levels
Yeah looks like a.....a.....a......GOOD INVESTMENT! HAHAHAHAHA #DadJoke
He is but if you think about the environment for rappers when he came out where he came from, nobody was getting anywhere with some smooth enlightening shit. Eminem had to act like a lunatic to get shock promotion. It took these rappers so many years to get enough recognition and respect for them to be able to get away with exploring deeper content. Nowadays the playing field is a little more open to that kind of music. Even so I loved his flows on Boom and King of Kings.
And Lupe getting worse.
Yeah Royce!!! Thank you for blessing us with real rap. Sincerely brother. Excellent work!
Lol afu ra like "damn I was chilling what was that for?"
