  • In this video we will be running a little experiment. I am trying to find a way to keep the water portions of the paludariums clean and also introduce new life forms to the tanks. I decided we would try shrimp since they are super small and take up literally no space. I am all about healthy cohabitation as long as no animals are hurt in the process. I think this is also key for happy and healthy and animals. I sure hope this works.

You're fine till they're discovered. i had a great colony of yellows in with mine, then they discovered how tasty little shrimpies are and they couldn't sustain numbers. Guppies work, but they're overkill, you will need somewhere else to put them all.

I am editing an update video on this tank right now. The fish and the shrimp are still alive lol. I def would prefer having the shrimp I'm their own tank though. I'm working on building a shrimp tank too.

@@AllThingsLiving813 it does lend itself towards a closed system yes. My next build i'll be using pond soil for the lower layers of the land to get some depth and lots more dendro worms. Watching them pull those out the ground with their little claws is awesome. Have heard people have good luck with fire bellied toads, vampire crabs look cool but i think they'd be ass holes to sleep around. There's some fully aquatic vietnamese crabs that do work nicely too. I'm always on the look out for some of those. Looking forwards to your update

where i really extinguished the shrimp was when the Trib colony had 3 hatchlings and two adults. There's that too, i dont keep them on so long now
