Let’s have some fun. What’s your favourite scene from the room movie? (for those of you that have had the privilege of seeing it!!) Aside from the obvious ones, the part where they all start cheeping like chickens is hilarious. Glen
When I'm on my rounds and I see a dog I always say "hi doggy" in his voice. I gotta love the "oh hi mark" speech you showed and him laughing at Mark's story about the girl getting beaten up. I saw The Room in London earlier this year, and went up to ask Tommy a question . I highly recommend anyone to see a screening of the film. Best cinematic experience you can ever have
I never played this one on the mobile, but I love these types of puzzle games and this one looks right up my alley. I've played a load of escape room games (even the really terrible ones) on my phone just to scratch that puzzle solving itch. Will probably be picking this up soon. Thanks for another great review!
What's up buddy! What u playing nowadays? I been playing that "mark of the ninja" game. It's sweet but they gotta put out a patch (frame rate messes up real bad)
After Mark's review of Guacamelee I just HAD to pick that one up, so that's been my main game recently. Also got to review Zarvot, which should be coming up soon-ish. Too bad about those framerate issues, hopefully they do get it patched up! Doesn't look like a game that should have problems like that.
You guys are my favorite channel to look on switch games, thank you for your hard work, you always give it straight, the games you recommend never disappoint, hope you keep on growing and that your channel may prosper, btw the intro made me laugh :)
Ah Glen, first Goosebumps now The Room to review this week. Being a reviewer in gaming can be tough at times esp when producing constant quality. I can't wait for you guys to review Trail Blazers as its in my highly anticipated list and want to see is it as good as it looks
It’s a brand new port. But it’s just $1.24 on Steam right now, as it’s currently −75% off (if you want to buy it on PC instead of the Switch). It’s pretty old and not very resource-intensive, so your PC can definitely run it.
Oh wow, I remember this game. It’s been awhile since I’ve played this game.. nice review Glen😁😁. Don’t know if I would play again though.. really don’t care about mobile games on consoles honestly
This is a great fit for switch loved it on my iPad as long as it's cheap enough it's a a great get, lack of HD rumble is starting to become a regular thing, shame kind of wish Nintendo made it a necessity
Another awesome review. great game and a mobile game worthy of a port. unfortunately i have all three on mobile already. i love the mysterious feel of the game.
sabre_wulf1 Totally agree. Some games should totally be on console, regardless of having mobile roots. This is a great port with pretty good motion controls too. Glen
@@SwitchUpYt absolutley with you glen. one of my fave games this last 12 months was a mobile.. skyforce reloaded is easily one of the greatest shmups of all time, an rpg shmup like the commodore amiga shmups. slower but loads of upgrades and ships and collectibles, and the harder levels are an awesome challenge. the music is top notch , the graphics are solid and smoother than a babies bum. i put it up there with project x , banshee, rtype, xenon, super stardust, swiv..all the non arcade console built shmups , designed for long play not a 10 pence arcade. you probably know it tbh lol. but for anyone else , well worth a look if you like old school shmup.
Sabre_wulf1 Yeah, I know it mate. A very good game, played it co-op with Mark as it happens. Oh man, you mentioning swiv too, what a game that was!! I haven’t given that game a thought in years! Glen
This may be off topic, but it would be nice to see a spiritual successor to Shivers, in that it's a Myst clone that's spooky, but not exactly scary. Back on topic, I actually bought this game on the Switch recently with the funds I had left over, taking off some using the gold points I've earned from previous purchases. It was on my watch list for some time and now I finally own it on the Switch. Hopefully it was worth it for that limited time discount that ended tomorrow.
Overall good review of one of my favorite games, so thumbs up. Had I scored on a point based system, would have docked several points for the unnecessary reference to the phony movie.
SwitchUp do you know if it’s better on the switch or ios? because on the app store the first edition is free (called pocket edition which after tutorial ask for £0.99 for the game) and then the room 2 is £1.99, the room 3 is £3.99 then the room old sins is £4.99.
As far as I know, the versions are very similar but, of course, the switch version has the motion controls implemented. I guess it comes down to whether you want to play on the TV with motion controls, paying a little more for the privilege. Glen
Glen, of course you review a puzzler after I just went in on True Fear 🤣. Looks like fun and one I'll keep my eye on. Now had you told me Pinhead or the cenobites appeared to taunt you or force you to solve them faster... Well then I would be all in right now.
Loved this game on mobile when it was first released, such a great little puzzler. As for the movie... My favourite scene is definitely "anyway I have cancer"
Hey guys, another great Vid, game not for me but good to see the working of it, only why watching the game I wondered how did the graphics compare to pc or iso etc? Just a thought as this seems to have been released on everything except the back of a crisp packet!!
Is ‘the room’ and ‘the room 2’ the same on both the switch and iOS? I’d rather get games for my phone as I don’t have many but have more than enough on my switch but I’m happy to get them on the switch if they are actually different to the iOS versions. Plus, the games are coming up cheaper on iOS compared to switch. Again, I don’t mind paying a bit more if the switch ones are different and/or have more content etc but if both the switch and iOS versions are exactly the same, then I may aswell just go for the platform that offers the cheapest (ie the iOS). So just wanted to check they are the same.
I'm surprised we even got this, it's that old. It just feels so irrelevant. I do remember enjoying this a bit on my friends iPad back then though. SwitchUp! Can we get a horror game review before Halloween please?? I need to get into the spooky mood! 🎃 👻 🌙
It would’ve honestly been better to have it as a bundle with all 3 entries rather just the first one. It’s also strange that it took this long for the game to even come. Oh well, it’s not a bad price. Definitely one of my favorite IOS/mobile game series. Tho not sure I’ll double dip on this one, I’ll definitely double dip for the sequels tho, since the sequels are much more complex and more to do.
Nothing for the narrative? Personally i love it, especially in the later games. Hope they port all of the games over to switch, as this is probably my favorite mobile game and series.
I don't like the rating well because I have played whole series except the room old sins and 'the room' is not much impressive compared to the other parts of the room series and you can't rate it on the basis of one part only but your review is quite impressive.......❤️❤️
And dudes, I'm running into some serious frame rate problems on that "mark of the ninja" game (I never seen anything like it??). They gotta put out a patch or something
@@SwitchUpYt dude it's soo bad that i can't believe I didn't notice it until last night. You'll be like in a vent watching the dude u gotta kill and he'll disappear and stuff. Sweet game but idk what they did to put it on switch
I honestly love that you started the review like that, lol. As for this game, I’ve heard amazing things but I just don’t play mobile games. Cut The Rope is the only mobile game to ever get my attention sadly. I’ve also bought a fair few puzzle box games on consoles (Vita had some and PSVR too) and I can’t get into them either. It’s a shame as I adore puzzles like this in games but when that IS the game, I get tired early on.
Yeah, that’s a fair point. I can see some concepts work better as part of a bigger picture than as a standalone game. Plus, yes, I absolutely had to reference one of the most wonderfully ridiculous movies ever made. Glen
SwitchUp have you ever watched The Disaster Artist? It does such an amazing job of showing you his process making The Room. I can’t believe one of the worst movies ever made spawned one of the best that I saw all of last year, lol. But sadly they don’t explain why he used the same sex scene over and over and over 😹
I haven’t seen it but I’d be interested to watch it. Yeah, completely agree, the fact they made a film about a bad film is pretty crazy. A bit like the Ed Wood film that came out a few years back. Glen
Let’s have some fun. What’s your favourite scene from the room movie? (for those of you that have had the privilege of seeing it!!) Aside from the obvious ones, the part where they all start cheeping like chickens is hilarious. Glen
The florist scene by far, it was the first moment that made me laugh out loud, the whole scene felt sped up and so fucking random.
Oh Hai Doggie,
When I'm on my rounds and I see a dog I always say "hi doggy" in his voice.
I gotta love the "oh hi mark" speech you showed and him laughing at Mark's story about the girl getting beaten up.

The "I did not hit her, I did not" is such a classic
*YOU'RE TEARING ME APART LISA!*
Nice review! I’d love for them to release The Room trilogy on switch. I’m a big fan of these types of games.
Quest Mode A boxed, trilogy released would have been a good idea. Glen

Future installments are something I would highly recommend trying out.
I’ve heard the 2nd and 3rd games are very good. Glen
Great review. Beginning was on point too haha

7:29 the best part of his review
Does the motion control work on this game from the Pro Controller ? Like the curser in Mario Galaxy on Switch ?
Why was it ten dollars does it include the room 2 and the room 3?
No, just the first one. Glen
SwitchUp why did they charge so damn much

A lot of Nintendo’s features are underused by third party developers (Wii u’s gamepad, will motion +) Looks like HD rumble might be the same. Glen
I guess it’s good for those that enjoy these kind of games. It’s a solid port at least.
Do you think we're ever going to see a Zero Escape Trilogy on Switch?
