How to Mask in Easy Steps on Handmade Cards

- Today I've got a masking technique in card making that gives you beautiful results!
The New Annual Catalog launches Tuesday, June 4, 2019! And with that comes this Gorgeous Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper! I am going to frame some of this paper! It has a watercolored print look that is just so pretty! As you see here it also makes a pretty card and I'm going to show you how to mask in easy steps on handmade cards!
Perennial Essence Stamp Set comes as a bundle with a snappy little punch! Y'all know I love punches! I was going to play with that but as I was looking at the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper I was inspired to use the stamps that don't work with the punch. So...you get to learn a masking technique!

Love the card Sharon and the way you are so casual and truthful about what you are doing. I love that the paper has two sides although I sometimes need a third side. I am waiting on the paper and velum coming as like you I didn’t buy them at the time

Bev I have no idea why on the video they were so close. I didn't stamp off and yet after the video I played more and without the bright lights for my video the colors are light and dark as they should be! I am thinking it's the lights!

You did a great card design but I don't like the designer series paper. Only two of the designs do I like, so it's not worth buying the paper for, but this is a really great card design. I'm glad to know about the leaf punch and the vellum. I'll have to find some other type of DSP to use with this stamp set.
Brenda I hope that my card inspires you to use any DSP and any stamp set. Sometimes I see a layout and I don't have the DSP so I always substitute! I am happy you enjoyed my card design and tip about the leaf punch!

Did you stamp off for the first flower?
Suzanne I did not. Honestly I remade the card later and it turned out fine too. When I was making the video I struggled with the colors as you saw but I think it had to do with my bright lights I use for videos!

Did you clean your stamp after stamping in gorgeous grape.
I did. I think the issue was my lighting. I redid the card later and it was perfect!
I believe you needed to clean your stamp before putting it in the highland heather, I have not seen that lack of difference in the two colors?Beautiful card, I would like to Case this one.

No I used Highland Heather for the first flower, Gorgeous Grape for the others!
I think you forgot to clean grapefruit Grove off first so it's blended with Highland Heather
I am still scratching my head over this! However without my bright lights for my videos the inks look correct!
