Downstrokes were the basis of picking at those times. T-Bone was a friend of Charlie Christian's, and this latter - according to what an old Barney Kessel told me 34 (!) ys. ago plaied downstrokes only. Nice video, thanks Pete.
A clean setting with reverb at around 2-3, bass 4, treble 5, mids at around 6......Volume was low for recording at 3. Guitar volume set at around 7-8 instead of full out. Thanks for checking out the video!
Thank you for posting. Ronnie Earl was able to pull tones out of a strat that are in the stratosphere.
