Cason Sherrod's Story

Cason Sherrod was born two months premature and suffered from significant hearing loss. As a child and later in high school, he received hearing aids and services at the Callier Center. Cason was able to access clinical care through the Callier Care Fund, which is funded by donors to support children and adults with speech, language and hearing disorders who cannot afford treatment. He went on to play baseball for Texas A&M University and was drafted as a pitcher in the minor league for the Miami Marlins organization.
