The Neumann U87 is one of the best vocal mics and can be used on drums and guitars too. The u87 is an amazing microphone but what makes mics so expensive?
It is literally just a cheap eBay generic shock mount. Nothing special. This one didn’t come with a shock mount when I bought it used. The second one I got did. I think to make it fit, I had to remove the sticky foam on the inside as this mic is a bit fatter than other condenser mics.
Robots change this game, but the quality of components also is very relevant
