I will probably never be able to fulfill my dream of visiting Great Britain so I really appreciate the virtual tour of this fabulous house! You would be a very able docent! Fiber people appreciate the close up of the stitches. The slow panning and close ups
of the textiles is wonderful; we get a good look without getting sea sick! Thank you for taking us along to this historic house!

Wow the shading on that bed cover was spectacular no wonder it was your favourite. What an eye for colour and that over 400 years ago!

Those tapestries are breath-taking Ellie! Can you imagine the hours and hours it took to complete just one item! ...and then there were the ceilings, my oh my, I would have had a sore neck from looking at the ceilings. They were mesmerizing! Such a special treat to step back in time and see the craftsmanship. Thank you so much for this amazing tour. xx

Thank you so much for taking us on your private tour of the textiles at Blickling Hall. It was a wonderful opportunity to see things not readily available when visiting the house. The filming of the textiles was very well done. Best wishes from Suffolk.

The tapestries are amazing. The size of them is fantastic. Seems like the carpets have never been walked on. They are in pristine condition, as if they were just woven. To think that all these textiles were worked on so many centuries ago, is inctedible.

Blickling is close to where I live and also has the most stunning gardens and an amazing long gallery. It is thought to be the birthplace of Anne Boelyn and her ghost walks the corridors apparently carrying her head under her arm!! Henry the VIII was a frequent visitor and if I recall correctly there is a beautiful bedroom called The Chinese Bedroom where he slept with a very stately 4 poster bed.

The tapestries are gorgeous. Is this house privately owned, like on the line of Chatsworth house? Are there people living in part of it?

My husband and I are crossing the pond next spring and are looking for places to visit. We will be in Edinburgh then over to Stirling and then we are planning to travels south down the western part of the UK before going over to London. Do you have any places you could recommend? We will be visiting Chatsworth and I want to do the natural history museum and silver vaults in London. We really would rather be visiting smaller cities. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
