A couple things Ive used based on advice from captains & deckhands which proved an increase in hookups. 1. Inline flasher can connect directly to 3 way with diamond snaps lr similar connection (or when salmon trolling to weight release). 2. You can tighten the roll of your spinning frozen bait making it an easier target to hit if you tie a sm swivel aprox 18 inches fwd of your bait. I use jansik special knots on it & I have noticed a tighter roll & more hookups.
Hi first of all you don't drag the ball you bounce the ball. Also much easier use a barrel swivel with a bead much cleaner ... thanks FYI that's not the best set up many more set up out there just as good or better..

That’s way you catch a lot of hibut my friend nice 👍
Thank you for a great tutorial. Is this set up good for SoCal halibut fishing?
Perhaps a white tee shirt would help the lines show up better? Anyway, I got it all so a big thank you for the lesson!
What brand is that flasher and where can I buy it
Great tutorial!
Very good, thank you. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, CHA-HOOO!
Been out for sturgeon lately?

You can probably use dental floss soaked in anchovy black on your downrigger for your ball
