Lily's Eyes: Philip Quast sings both parts

A splice of Philip Quast singing both parts in 'Lily's Eyes' from 'The Secret Garden'. His vocals as Dr. Neville Craven are taken from the Original Australian Cast Recording, and his vocals as Archibald Craven are taken from the Original London Cast Recording.
From 2:22 on, where the vocal parts overlap and harmonize, Anthony Warlow from the Original Australian Cast sings the part of Archibald.
I own none of this music or any of the images. I am only a fan who wanted an even higher density of Quast.

Obviously PQ was a great Javert....but I do wish people who like him in that role would be more open to other great roles he has performed. He was incredible in this....some of the songs on The Secret Garden are superb. The duet with Warlow is one of the all-time classic performances of Musical Theatre IMO.
He was spectacular in Sunday in the Park With George....and seriously brilliant in The Fix.....both of which he got Olivier Awards for....
Personally I like him best for his role in South Pacific. Sheer brilliance.

So much in agreement with you! But my favourite together with Javert is his performances in The Secret Garden and The Fix. Don’t get hung up on Javert, Quast is brilliant there but please, also remember the rest!

I just saw a video where Philip Quast was in the role of Juan Peron in Evita. WOW!!!!!!! He's what you would call a Triple Threat of Singer, Actor, and DANCER!!!!!!!

I prefer Terrence Mann in the role- Quast took an awful lot of liberties with the musical timing of his lines. I love his voice and performance, but prefer Mann's.
