The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
Hi Ellen! congratulations on that! How did you find the device? What do you think of that? Can it be connected directly to the phone without the need for a computer? Hope you can help me with that 😊
For anyone thinking of buying this for scanning long documents, the mobile app DOES NOT support scanning long documents/receipts. You can only scan those on the desktop app. They should not claim this supports receipt scanning until the mobile app is fixed.
Hi, your video is so insightful. But I wonder if there are any type of scanners that support scanning a long document, like a 2 (or even 5) meters receipt?
Thank you for the review. You just earned a new subscriber. I have the IRIScan WiFi portable scanner which uses SD cards and wifi. My biggest complaint is to connect to the Wi-Fi you need to disconnect from the internet. This scanner doesn't seem to be able to connect to an access point and work as a networked device. That makes it pretty impractical. I was hoping to upgrade to the Epson since it claims support of using an access point. I'd think that would have been a given in 2021. Have you had any success getting the access point to work? I'd love to see an updated review.
Can you scan a passport ? if not the whole passport, can you scan like half a document ? What happen if you want to scan a page within a stapled document ? can you make it scan and stop rather than keep pulling the ducement completely to the other side ? thanks.
I read a review that these scanners scan only to the app itself, rather than a file on drive, using a Mac. Has this been improved for a Mac version 13.0. I tried calling Epson technical support, and is only for their printers. I've tried several Google search numbers.
Questions to things you did not address in your review, 1. Can it scan double side in one-pass without flipping the page over? 2. Does it come with built-in battery? How long can it last e.g. how many scans? 3. Can you hookup with the iPhone/Android without a home WiFi e.g. Canon has direct WiFi on their printers which negate the need to have an intermediate WiFi such as a home or office WiFi Thanks.
Does it help with sorting once scanned or am I just scanning the receipts to store electronically? I want to scan and have it sort data to organize a years worth of receipts. If I have to still manually enter the data, I can just do that without scanning..
do you know if the calibration sheet will help with the black strip along the right edge of the scanned document? l assume that the scanner must be dirty to make that black strip along the right edge, so l don't know how the calibration sheet will help with that, but that's what the epson tech told me.
My Epson ES-60W was VERY disappointing! I didn't use it very much after I first bought it. Maybe I scanned 30 sheets of paper. After the one year warranty expired, I needed to use the scanner. The battery wouldn't hold a charge! Epson would do NOTHING for me. A replacement battery was more expensive than a new scanner! DON'T buy an ES model! Buy a DS model! Both look identical, except the ES models are black and the DS models are white. Other than that, I can't see any difference between them, EXCEPT the warranty, on the DS models is THREE years!
can we scan pasports with it? i have seen reviews that scanned atm cards etc. but are pasports possible to scan? cause this is importmant for my bussnies
You don't understand , the scanner IS an access point. It can only accept clients, not become a client of another router. Read the doc's and stop just randomly pressing buttons and guessing WRONGLY.

Thanks I bought one after watching this. Great review and I became a subscriber to your channel. you do it better than epson
Thanks for the review man, helped me make up my mind 👍🏽
Buying one today. Thanks for the review it helped me make a well informed decision regarding this device.
Hi Ellen!
congratulations on that!
How did you find the device?
What do you think of that?
Can it be connected directly to the phone without the need for a computer?
Hope you can help me with that 😊
Does it copy multiple pages on same time

Probably not.. its only for scanning document 1 sheet thickness

Sorry, we don't own a Mac.
Thx. I buying one now
Did you need to calibrate it in the beginning or after installing the epson documentscan you can immediately start to scan?
How did you use it on the phone? Many people cannot connect the device to the phone and suffer from this problem😓
I mentioned in the video, starting @ 6:13
Wish you had tried scanning a legal doc too....but I am sure it works fine.
Does it organize your receipts? Like does it recognize receipts that are similar to another one?
Thanks for making this video!

Great video. Thank you.
So would I need wifi if I take it to a house to scan old photos. The house doesn’t have internet.
Does it work with Mac
Yes, it does.
@@NewParentsInTraining thank you so much
Do the scan documents print in photo, word or pdf format?
Does not work with iPhone 15. Apps have deleted the ES series.
Are you being paid etc by Epson for your review?
I wish.
I was able to connect it via USB how can I connected via Bluetooth or Wifi ? Can’t seem to find the action after using the USB
Epson Drivers contain ADWARE on their downloads. make sure you download the right one and check them before installing
sorry , tattoo scan do it?
Is it a usb charged device
Yes
Can you scan checks and can it organize it for me automatically?Thank you 😊
It will do the scanning part but you still need to feed the checks in.

I think by not using lithium batteries they quickly deteriorate without regular usage. Or yeah, could be a defect 🤷🏻♂️
It can't work with power cable? Or it needs to be charged then work?

I don't think so, passports are too thick to pass thru.
@@NewParentsInTraining :( thnx for your answer
Can it print or is just for scanning
we got a kid at home and he might think its a toy lmfaaa
How can you email what you scan to a business email?
Email the digital document as an attachment, the same way you would attach and send any other document on your computer.
Mine won't connect to my phone 😔📱
Why bro?
wish it was usb-c
Does it work with Linux?
yes, you just have to download the software for Linus.
Using a mobile phone to ingest scans sounds kinda miserable. Even on a really high end phone.
I'd much rather do it even on an ancient computer.
Their software sucks!! So much that I'm returning for a different brand
What did you ended up getting?
