The Fort Worth & Western is a real railroad, and Tarantula was the name of its steam excursion which is now owned by the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. The tender graphic is the same as the one of Southern Pacific 2248, the only steam engine used by the Tarantula Train
It reminds me of a HO scale set I had as a kid. The Great Train Robbery by Bachman. The power supply looks like same one that came with my Polar Express set that I bought 20 years ago.
While I do love seeing the Lionel General 4-4-0 design getting used, and I am impressed with the Toy Story one… WOW the lone Ranger one stinks. The engine in the movie was the Jupiter so they should have been able to easily get the livery down. It also would have rocked if they had released a Lone Ranger movie set with both the Jupiter, and a model of the other engine, the constitution! That would have been a perfect set idea. (I do love that the box car had the longe Ranger moving up and down like that. That’s pretty clever! The sounds are also pretty good!)
That’s a cool train
I love the Wild West trains

Lone Ranger set is quite rare, along with the fact is that it’s one of my childhood train sets
Looks good, it was old school Lionel. 😂

It was released before the schlock movie was made.
That’s a nice set
Gonna guess you traded some LEGO trains for Lionel trains? The Lone Ranger train is good but the 2013 movie wasn’t
Someday when I get the wild West train set, I’m gonna turn the locomotive into Edward from Thomas & Friends
Cool
You do realize the Lone Ranger set mail car plays the opening sequence of the TV show? That really makes the set special
I did not realize that
Edward! NO don’t you dare to do it
