Yeah but also we don't have every shade of foundations (unless it's a popular one like fenty), dark or pale shades are impossible to find sometimes, especially if you're not in Milan. Also we get new releases WAAAY after the US
There is a reason for this. I have worked in retail in Canada for over 32 years, I have held pretty much every position one can imagine. There is only so much room per brand in a Sephora (or any store for that matter, same goes for ULTA, Wal-Mart etc). Each Brand, let's use Dior as an example, will have x amount of feet that they must use to assert all of their line. Smaller stores mean each brand has fewer feet on the shelf to showcase their entire line. People called "assortment planners, or store planners" use data/history that is gathered by tracking sales by sku and using this history on sell through the planner will put together a plan on which sku's - let's say foundation shades, the store will carry and which skus' (shades) won't be carried in store but will be available on line. If the store is in Asia you can be assured that all of the very lightest shades will be stocked in every store, as the shades get darker, they will drop off and not be assorted in that store. If a store was in Dubai the most pale shades likely will be dropped off and the in store available shades will be darker and all shades that are a better match for the majority of the demographic will be what is carried in store, all shades might be available on line. You can basically apply this to every product that comes in shades to match skin tones - across the world. The largest stores, often called "flagship" stores might carry every single shade, especially in areas that have a high multi-cultural population. In Canada we have 4-5 flagship malls that most stores would carry their full assortment. Those are in downtown Vancouver, downtown Toronto, Bay st Toronto, downtown Montreal. The USA will have of course many many more "flagship malls" where they do a very high volume and are in cities which have a much higher percentage of multi cultural demographic customer. For example, a Sephora in downtown NYC and a Sephora in a mall in Montana are not going to be assorted the same. Weather also plays a role in how stores can be assorted quite differently. In Canada we have a very high Asian population in Vancouver - so stores in Vancouver will have a very different assortment compared to a store in down town Toronto. Let's say it's a store that carries clothing. The clothes will be assorted with a much heavier weighting on the smaller sizes, and fewer of the largest sizes. While most stores in Canada are jammed with big puffer winter coats by September, boots, mittens hats etc...While stores in Vancouver might not get any of the big puffer heavy winter coats but will get more rain coats and light weight scarves and boots that are for aesthetic not cold winter temps. Ok...I guess I kinda got a little excited, explaining the process retailers follow to create assortment plans for their stores. This is why you will often find that a store like Sephora might not carry every shade of foundation /complexion products.

While most stores in Canada are jammed with big puffer winter coats by September, boots, mittens hats etc...While stores in Vancouver might not get any of the big puffer heavy winter coats but will get more rain coats and light weight scarves and boots that are for aesthetic not cold winter temps.

I love sol de hanero 😻😻
not the “sol de haneiro” bruh we don’t speak spanish in brazil 😭
Chile the 1st thing that surprised me is how you entered the downstairs. I’ve never seen that over here in the U.S.
New York Sephora says hello
Which city tho? Cuz it makes big differences on Italy
They clawed back all of my VIB points during COVID when I couldn’t use them and I had so many I was saving up for something better. I will never shop there again in my lifetime. Ever.
Honestly I just wish more skincare brands would prioritize sustainability instead of ridiculous packaging 😒
Its NOT. a dupe for sol de janerio! NOT one bit! I have all of both lines almost! So sick of ppl wanting to say stuffs a dupe just cuz similar vibe packaging. Do NOT fall for her claim. It's meh/ okay. Sol de janerio is worth the extra cost and NOTHING in the Sephora body care line, is at ALL comparable to my Sol de janerio . Can ppl just stop with the "Dupes" 😂 Every "Dupe" I have bought is a huge disappointment. Just Save for the good shit if it's the quality you want! Edit: The sephora stuffs okay for days you do want to splash out the fancy stuff, just don't want anyone to be disappointed and actually believe it's at all similar. It's not. The scents are totally All different. And the formula is NOTHING alike.
Closest is the Trader Joe’s Brazillian nut body cream. Though, the OG is still king!
wdym splash out the fancy stuff?
Not" Haneiro "😭
She’s don’t speak português how do you what her to say it correctly
Omg who cares Karen it’s just a short!!
@@LeonorIsabel Everybody knows how to say Rio de Janeiro 💀💀 Monolingual Americans who don‘t bother with anything piss me off so much
@@LeonorIsabel Because we pronounce it the same in English??
@@anabella4166 It was a joke, fam 💀
True, I been wearing dresses almost everyday for more than a year, because I love them, and I feel comfortable on them
what?
@@gallantmaxxinglol I supposed this comment was meant for another video
USA has those same Sephora body products as sol de janero
The video of application would be so helpful! 😅
It is exactly the same in Spain.
I guess we have mostly the same products all over Europe.
as an italian, its true
Sol en Heiro
Got me rolling 🤣
CORTE INGLÉS 😍 mi segunda casa! Esta especie de "shopping mall" para gente pija buscando cosas de alta calidad...me deja hipnotizada!
Love hangin with my good sis
It's not Sol de "Ha"neiro. Pleeeeease! We speak Portuguese in Brazil. It's pronounced almost like "dja"neiro. I'm sorry to be this annoying but it's just that it's super offensive to us when people assume we speak Spanish.
I think it’s less that people assume Brazilians speak Spanish and more that they see a Spanish looking name so they try to pronounce it with a Spanish accent 😅
Omg who cares Karen it’s just a short!!
@@anabella4166 Apparently, you also care enough about unimportant things... to bother reading and answering my comment 😊 Have a nice day, Karen number 2!
@@anabella4166apparently you who responded to EVERY comment that pointed out the pronunciation wtf 😭
@@addangel What dies „Spanish looking“ even mean? That Americans/Monolinguals don‘t bother to even tell the difference between different languages or don‘t even know Portuguese exists? Everybody assuming we speak Spanish or are Hispanic is so goddamn tiring, believe it or not, this is such an incredible annoyance and not to be too dramatic, feels like a part of our culture/identity is just overlooked and erased because it‘s not deemed not as important as fucking Spanish. This is especially the case when its something like Rio de Janeiro, which everybody knows/has already heard of before.
And i love the brand Sephora❤❤❤
they had the same sephora collection body care when i visited new zealand! lots of stuff there from the sephora collection brand not sold in the USA :D
That’s cos we Italians know how to slay
literally whole europe have same sephoras, you aint slaying
@@alexandravictoria2176 You‘re weird. And also implying that the entirety of Europe doesn‘t slay
@@einhorntaschentuch9404i mean not all of it slays 😬
i’m french & spanish, we have the same sephora in france & spain
How can u be both french and spanish?
@@chiaraa_18 my father is from france and my mother is from spain, im dual citizen.
That’s because the high end skincare you looked at was in many cases, that lines “prestige” selection.
As a european, that doesn't have Sephora in her country. Sephora is pure luxury place for me. I went in one in Rome and bought myself Clarins lip oil. Then few days later I went to one in Napoli and bought Gisou lip oil. I still have reciept that I saved, because it has location of the shop, and to me it is luxury souvenir.
.
My point is that, in Sephora, you can't buy affordable things. Many average citizens can't buy there much. It is place of pure luxury
It's not Sol de Ha-neiro.....it's Jah-neiro. Soft g, not an h sound. Omg 😭
@@stephany6417 it takes 2 seconds to check the pronunciation my dude lol
@@stephany6417 It's just that it's super annoying when people assume we speak Spanish. Brazilians are usually friendly and welcoming... but this assumption is taken as smth offensive around here.

GUYS THE SEPHORA BIDY CARE CAME OUT BEFORE SDJ!
I think Italian sephora is ok,but too small(Im from croatia,so we dont have sephora🥲,but i been in italian sephora)
Lol the way u say janeiro is so wrong. It’s not Spanish, it’s Portuguese. J sounds like J in English
Sephora in Asia also has the body care section and has had for aaaages. So in not sure if they are a dupe for the sol brand at all!
Sol de henario got me rolling 💀
you were so good in stranger things 4!! how long did u spend preparing for the role and did u guys have to shave your head or did u guys just wear wigs ? good luck for your future roles :)
why the heck did u pronounce sol de Janeiro like that 😭😭😭😭
Le problème de Sephora c'est qu'il testent sur les animaux... Yves Rocher au moin eux ils ne testent pas sur les animaux ❤
Yes, but you forgot to mention that in Italy we don’t see many ten year olds in our Sephora stores! 🥳
Ain’t no one going talk about the “ sol de haniro” 💀
Yeah, same in 🇷🇴 Romania
I want to go there 😢
I love both you and Brittany Broski. I can’t believe she would say that I would love to see a crossover!
Those Sephora Collection Bath & Body products are in every US store, and they’re not at all dupes for Sol de Jainero. The scents aren’t similar at all- there’s a tiare white floral scent, a soapy cherry blossom, a synthetic mango scent, and a powdery cotton flower scent. There’s a marine Lagoon scent, but I haven’t tried that one. None of them are gourmand, notne of them smell anything close to Sol de Janeiro. Not sure where you got that from, they’re not the greatest, but they are very affordable.
yes that's why i love italy sephora and i am lucky also because i live in italy so i am happy about that btw lots of love from italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹
The Europeans know skincare and makeup. The facials in France are the best!
No not at all
@@Emily12349 Sadly, it sounds like you did not have an excellent French
facialist that I did for many years. She was used by many celebrities and was the best.
@@nanny287 no, maybe French but there are 30 more countries that do skincare and makeup way better
@@Emily12349 And you’ve had facials and makeup done on a sustained basis in each of those thirty countries? I find that very hard to believe. My facial were sustained over years with my celebrated French facialist and that’s what it takes to measure whether they are truly great or just fly-by-nights.
It was so expensive in Italy compared to Canada. I bought 3 little things and came out on my MC as 87 CAD. When I did the math it should have only been 52 CAD if I purchased at home. I was looking for something made in Italy but there was no brands sold In store which was weird even asked the workers - no PML, Patrick Ta, Natasha Denona weird you would think that they would be promoting 😢
You can order the Sephora body care online, and unfortunately they're not Sol dupes. Still smell great! But they're different.
Girl the collection with this exact senses has been there way before Sol de Janeiro😂
I went into Italy’s sephoras and I’ve never seen soo de Jenerio(however you spell it) ‘dupes’ but there’s a lot of lip care
In europe you can’t return makeup if you like opend it :((
Do they give free samples of products? In America you can get 3 in each area: makeup, haircare & skincare.
@@Aphrodite01 ofcourse
Yeah, there's a reason for that.. Just get samples
@@saramilhano3134 yeah but you can’t just.. get a sample of anything you want. maaybe in store you can ask and they will pour some moisturizer or foundation into a small container for you to try, but I never found that sanitary and now since covid with the online orders, they’ll just chuck in whatever samples they see fit (usually whatever perfume they’re pushing that month). so.. yeah
@@addangel so you think it's more hygienic for stores to accept open packages? I mean where do you think those open packages go?
Im learning in the comments that beauty stores in europe are a lot like grocery stores in america 😂😂 you have to go to more then 1 for what you want/need.
Me leaving in Italy and never seeing any of these things before: 🙂
The "Sol de HANERO" is killing me sorry 😭😭 Janeiro is supposed to be a portuguese word, the J still has a J sound unlike spanish
“”Every clarins lip oil was in stock including the famous dior lip oil” … lmfao then that’s DIOR not clarins honey
Uhhh
Does she know Spanish and Portuguese aren’t the same?
Sol De Janeiro is pronounced Soul D Jhenayroh?
The Soul D Hanarrow killed me.
Miss ma’am, Brazil 😂😂
God bless
Every Clarins lip oil including the Dior one 😂😂
As Italian this helps me so much and like I don’t have to run around Sephora I’ll be like oh my God where is this? Where is this? Where is this? I just go to the section and if I buy a new thing, I don’t have to like search it up on UA-cam how to apply it. I just look at the screens.
they have that Sephora collection in Dubai too pretty much every country
The “sol de janiero dupes” aren’t dupes it’s a company for itself and I had their products
FYI you have to pronounce the J in “Janeiro”, it’s in Portuguese, not Spanish
No, a lot of high end has plastic. It's not glass and it's not an Italian thing. Only few products out there have glass.
Fun fact :Americans pronouce:Sol de hanero in portuguese sol means sun de janeiro means of january So In english sol de janeiro would be Sun of January (ik this because im portuguese myself)
stop this is exactly why italy is my soul, same i prioritize packaging sm omg like do i care that the actual product might be absolutely useless to me and i might never use it??? no but is the packaging slay? TAKE MY MONEY
you pronouncing sol de janeiro like it’s spanish bothered me so bad pls don’t ever do that again 😭😭
Btww for anyone wondering actually the brand isn't a dupe of sol de as this brand launched first so who copied who now
Its not a sol de jainero dupe, its actually a brand, i have the mango flavor
Lmao proceeds to see plastic packaging
Why we can see french words like "tester" and not italian words knowing we were in Italy ?
They hate Brasil for sure. HANERO?
In France Sephora is like this
