Thanks for the videos. I'm a Tekken newbie and your knowledge has helped me learn more about the game. Mind if I ask what songs are playing in the background of your videos? They are good instrumentals and I want to work out while listening to them.
@@Jickrussel thanks so much! And they’re songs I wrote that are coming out on my new Deep Voice Guy Album (minus the vocals). Album will be out real soon!
I'm super super excited for him, even if he's a bit different. I don't think anybody can expect a legacy character to feel the same in TK8, considering how different the whole game is.
Heihachi looks good. He’s gotta look strong so that people who haven’t bought him yet will spend the money to buy him. Then he’ll get some nerfs and then they’ll get ready to release the next character lol
Every character looks strong if they are just going to show you the character smacking every character from the roster around. Obviously when you play with him online, the gameplay is subject to change...
@@The_Buff_Guy yeah man! There is another UA-camr named DamageXcaling. He is a Tekken content creator who mostly makes Jin videos . He is working on a big Tekken related project and is looking for a narrator. You check out his channel his email is posted there I believe . Good luck ! Hope you get the gig !
During Warrior's Instinct(God Mode) his facken combos now all do TRUE DAMAGE/none of it is chip(hence the lifebar is flashing blue) which is crazy man. So is the i13 df2,1 twin pistons during god mode(resembles Jinpachi's df2,1 more than his legacy T5 and older twin pistons animationwise). They also mentioned in both the Tekken Talk, and in ppl who uploaded his entire movelist on YT, that he now has a perfect electric i13 input via the f,n,df2 option... (DVJ malding lol)
ik it's not gonna happen, but they should just remove the Warrior Instinct token bullshit altogether. It has no place on him especially with all of the changes he already received making him feel fresh. It's unneeded and absolutely blatant power boosting
@@nail_HK I agree, but let’s wait and see how bad it is. I think we ought reserve judgment. Lidia seems strong as hell, but Eddy is fairly mid tier. Maybe heihachi is another balanced DLC.
AFAIK he just can choose which heat smash to use (it's not locked behind a stance), which is honestly kind of BS if you ask me. He can just take advantage of whichever atage hazard is present
@@The_Buff_Guy according to the Tekken Talk, the default heat smash is the one that floor breaks, and he can press f right after the heat mash to do the wall break/wall splat one
To soon to say put I feel he's going to get the jin treatment, I didn't play t7 but people say jin was harder than what he is now hes really easy to use in 8 . Hopefully that doesn't happen to heihachi
All good! Yeah it’s not nearly as broken as the community suspected it to be. I’m not surprised lol. Everyone’s so quick to jump the gun with new characters, myself included at times.
I see people are complaining about Heihachi having a guard break into guaranteed 112. But I don’t see anyone complaining about Bryan having a wall splat guard break.
Different concepts because the counter play is much different for both. With Bryan, you see him charging up, you immediately sidestep either direction and evade the wall splat. You can do this anytime, even if he’s hit you with + on block moves before attempting the wall splat. It’s very balanced. With heihachi, his guard Break comes out of stance, which you’d go for when you have frame advantage, and the guard break is homing and very fast. This means the opponent will most likely be unable to do much besides duck, in which case they potentially eat the mid. It’s a true mixup, forced 50/50 at the wall. Pretty bullshit concept in Tekken. I hate forced 50/50’s unless I just blocked a heat smash. Heihachi’s guard break seems much less fair than Bryan’s.
Can't wait for hitboxes the size of shipping containers, and everything I do being crushed. I guess I'm getting old, and games are getting too complicated for my ass 😂
I have troubles adapting to the Tekken 8 style a lot too, sometimes. My old ass forgets power crushes are buffed in this game and I just end up eating Armor moves. Serves me right for trying to take my turn when it’s still my turn! Shame on me!
he basically gets 1 free round haha that alone makes him op in my opinion but we will see if he is mid tier i think we will see him in tournament for that fact alone if he is high tier without the crazy mode he gonna dominate every tournament haha
Having him be able to essentially turn Super Saiyan when he pops heat, and then basically achieve Super Saiyan 2 for an entire round really does seem a bit much. But I’m willing to withhold judgment until we’ve spent some real time with the character. Heihachi has always been oppressive, but he’s still a Mishima. Meaning great tools, absurdly hard execution and therefore less consistency to balance him out a bit. Hopefully that rule still applies.
@@The_Buff_Guy i hope he is op. they removed omen in combos i want compensation for that haha so ridiculous removing such a thing like cmon why haha it’s a wonder that kazuya still has ch df2 pewgf…
Heihachi’s always been one of the hardest characters in Tekken. If he’s going to retain essentially who he was in Tekken 7 with some added Tekken 8 shenanigans, like it looks like will be the case, then I’d put him in sweat lords. Top 5 hardest in the game. But that’s to be determined.
Sure, but that’s not THAT strong. Jin has an easy electric from Stance, but it’s not even that useful. You need electric to be a neutral pressure tool for it to be fully useful. Locked behind stance it significantly decreases its usefulness.
@@aldofer8832 mishimas in general were always harder to play Even Reina who is the easiest Mishima now according to some requires fundamental knowledge and execution Most new players pilot her and have a hard time
Exactly. He needs a solid power mid. Something that either launches on normal hit and is safe, or something that’s heavily + on block. His df1,2 should be natural combo on normal hit, too. There’s no reason why it isn’t. If kazuya can have his db1,2 be a natural combo, 13f heat engager that wall splats, there’s no reason devil jin can’t have his df1,2 be a 13f natural combo that wall splats too. The second hit is a high, so it’s duckable and launch punishable on reaction. Perfectly balanced. In his current state, devil jin is a joke, and it’s beyond frustrating. Kazuya is my main, but Heihachi and Devil jin were always my secondaries. Seeing him like this is awful.
He's not op. Not at all. The dlc roids didn't work on him. And side stepping will work against him, like against all bs characters in T8, right? Moreover , he seems to deal fair damage and his 112 STILL wall splatting is definitely balanced 😅 I couldn't care less about him or his gameplay (i have no objection of having him as character - dlc or not - in game but he should have remained dead story-wise) but oh man the new story (i won't spoil anything for those who haven't seen anything) not only it doesn't answer adequately about how , why and stuff but also it creates so many inaccuracies and makes the story even less cohesive or serious ..
They’re songs (minus the vocals) that I wrote which will be appearing on my upcoming Deep Voice Guy Album. Will update the channel once the album’s done!
That would be nice! Would love to see him again. I doubt he’ll be in before the more popular characters, though. Armor King, Lei, Julia, Anna, Miguel, Bob i could see getting in before Wang, unfortunately.
Too early to tell. Kazuya is a much different character than heihachi, though. A good kazuya is mostly defensive based. A good heihachi is a smart but aggressive one. If you Main kaz and aren’t used to the bulldog play style, you may want to fully learn heihachi before you choose to drop kaz for him regardless if heihachi is OP. He doesn’t seem too OP to me, though. He’s insane in god mode, but fortunately that’ll only last 1 round per match.
Its hard to tell without playing him but it definitely looks like it. Mainman was saying he is a lot weaker than the trailer showed. Either way i dont think heihachi will save this game atm
