Wow Lydia.. Thank you so much for sharing this little piece of your book. The part where you say that you were 32 when you first smelled spring, I felt that one. I am a 31 year old recently divorced woman. In the end of autumn last year we decided to let go. This autumn we let go of our house. Letting go was and is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I had failed, so it felt. I mourned. But then I realised that is was also my only way of not letting go of myself. My marriage had broken my branches, cracked my stem and almost got to my roots. But as I let go, with all the storms that came at me, I started to trust the wind and bounced back on it. I lost a lot in the past year. Even some friends. Unfortunately my hair also decided to let go.. So I cut it of to let new healthy hair grow back. It is still scary, especially with a little boy who is just turning 2 at the end of this month, trusting you to do the right thing. Little things like your channel, your own journey and -as far as I can judge right now- your book make life a little softer. It opens my eyes to see the beauty in nature, in people and in myself, wich is a tough one sometimes as we can all agree on I suppose. I dont know why I had the need to share this. I just want to say thank you for who you are and trusting yourself enough to expres and share it with your community. Thank you Lydia, it means a lot. x
To whoever is strategizing Lydia’s video titles, please stop cheapening the content with the awful clickbait titles. If this is the launch of the long awaited book, why a title such as “this is the end” … not only is it negative it is discouraging to click on.

It begins in 1924 & how she reminisces about decisions she made throughout her life, in childhood & during & after the war & what if her life had gone in a different direction. My Dad has had a few books printed but is in now in the process of altering bits he’s not happy with! All on his laptop .. not bad for his age I think ☺️

I really like that you talked about your envrionment of work, I think focusing on what makes you happy more than only hardwork is a really sustainable environment of work. Sometimes ambition is not really what will drive us far, it's more the way we will manage our life. Consistency is important, but self-care, being indulgent with ourself is the most important ingredient to a fullfield dream. Passion is a magnificent way to work, but it can be extremely burning, so it's amazing that you are listening to yourself and the needs of the people you are working with ! I discovered you during the pandemic in 2020 while quarantined with Covid in my bedroom away from my family. I went back and watched many of your earlier videos and haven't missed one since. I am balling between the minutes of 53 - 57. I'm honestly not a youtube user, not an influencer follower. But every now and then when I'm alone in the house over the years, I listen to Lydia's videos. And somehow came to a point in my life where it matches with the energy of what you're saying in those minutes, it's truly amazing. I wish you the best and brightest future. Well done Lydia! This book is absolutely stunning. It is a warm hug, a cheerleader, a coach all in one. Lydia does a superb job telling her own story of navigating through the seasons of life with the growth and challenges that it brings but also being so relatable and inspiring at the same time. I found myself crying along to some of the Autumn excerpts and feeling unbelievable joy in Summer, inspiration in Spring and ready to roll up my sleeves in Winter and do the work of retrospect, regeneration and gathering strength for a busy time ahead in Spring. This book is a work of art, better than any self help, anxiety, depression or growth book I have ever read. I know I will come back to this book time and time again for its beautifully written words, comforting advice and reminders to celebrate success all around. Fascinating to hear that your mother and father got married in that area and it looked so lovely there with the sash windows and brick and planters. The family business also - what a lovely place to start. It must be tiring doing audio books and well done for getting through it. My uncle who went to live in New York had an E type - not a Mercedes but loved it as if it were a child. They took care of their cars and kept them. He put covers over his at night in the garage.

I didn't really know where to leave the comment so I'm going to leave it here. I was at work and not sure if I was going to get the book or not because I'm not in the UK I'm in the United States. I can only order the Kindle version at this time. It arrived on time and before I went home from work I started reading the book. My eyes filled up with tears cuz I could relate to certain things and understand the lessons and thoughts that you have had. I am only 15% into the book as I am a slow reader. I already want to get this book to a friend who is going through so much but I'm not exactly sure how. As I know the hard copy doesn't come out until May. This book could not have come at a better time. I'm going to be reading it at work and my down time, when I get home before I go to bed, and is quickly as I can. I'm only 15% into the book in the book has already blown me away. I love reading books but sometimes they take me a long time this one is already caught my heart. Thank you. I have endometriosis, Adenomyosis and fibroids. I’ve had 11 operations, I’ve had to leave my job this year as my new manager of 12 months made things really hard for me. It’s been an awful time and I finally feel like I might be turning a corner.

Realise you were in Old Street area - I used to walk through that way from Liverpool Street to get to Regent Street to shop - now I get the bus. Don't go to London often though. It begins in 1924 & how she reminisces about decisions she made throughout her life, in childhood & during & after the war & what if her life had gone in a different direction. My Dad has had a few books printed but is in now in the process of altering bits he’s not happy with! All on his laptop .. not bad for his age I think ☺️

I really like that you talked about your envrionment of work, I think focusing on what makes you happy more than only hardwork is a really sustainable environment of work. Sometimes ambition is not really what will drive us far, it's more the way we will manage our life. Consistency is important, but self-care, being indulgent with ourself is the most important ingredient to a fullfield dream.
Passion is a magnificent way to work, but it can be extremely burning, so it's amazing that you are listening to yourself and the needs of the people you are working with ! (And that should be the norm to be fair)

I'm not sure you'll ever read this comment but felt compelled to write it anyway even though I've never commented before. I discovered you during the pandemic in 2020 while quarantined with Covid in my bedroom away from my family. I went back and watched many of your earlier videos and haven't missed one since. To be compleyely honest, there have been times I've thought you were a bit spoiled and pretentious and somewhat unrelatable, but the last couple of years I've seen you change and mature and grow into a confident, relatable and more grateful woman. I am balling between the minutes of 53 - 57. I'm honestly not a youtube user, not an influencer follower. But every now and then when I'm alone in the house over the years, I listen to Lydia's videos. Well done Lydia! This book is absolutely stunning. It is a warm hug, a cheerleader, a coach all in one. Lydia does a superb job telling her own story of navigating through the seasons of life with the growth and challenges that it brings but also being so relatable and inspiring at the same time. I found myself crying along to some of the Autumn excerpts and feeling unbelievable joy in Summer, inspiration in Spring and ready to roll up my sleeves in Winter and do the work of retrospect, regeneration and gathering strength for a busy time ahead in Spring. This book is a work of art, better than any self help, anxiety, depression or growth book I have ever read. I know I will come back to this book time and time again for its beautifully written words, comforting advice and reminders to celebrate success all around.

Fascinating to hear that your mother and father got married in that area and it looked so lovely there with the sash windows and brick and planters. The family business also - what a lovely place to start. It must be tiring doing audio books and well done for getting through it. My uncle who went to live in New York had an E type - not a Mercedes but loved it as if it were a child. They took care of their cars and kept them. He put covers over his at night in the garage.

I didn't really know where to leave the comment so I'm going to leave it here. I was at work and not sure if I was going to get the book or not because I'm not in the UK I'm in the United States. I can only order the Kindle version at this time. It arrived on time and before I went home from work I started reading the book. My eyes filled up with tears cuz I could relate to certain things and understand the lessons and thoughts that you have had. I am only 15% into the book as I am a slow reader. I already want to get this book to a friend who is going through so much but I'm not exactly sure how. As I know the hard copy doesn't come out until May. This book could not have come at a better time. I'm going to be reading it at work and my down time, when I get home before I go to bed, and is quickly as I can. I'm only 15% into the book in the book has already blown me away. I love reading books but sometimes they take me a long time this one is already caught my heart. Thank you. I have endometriosis, Adenomyosis and fibroids. I’ve had 11 operations, I’ve had to leave my job this year as my new manager of 12 months made things really hard for me. It’s been an awful time and I finally feel like I might be turning a corner.

With respect and sincerity, I'd like to share some thoughts with you. If your aspiration is to carve a unique space for yourself in the writing world, distinct from the influencers' landscape, there are key qualities to uphold.
Honesty and authenticity should form the bedrock of your narratives. An open mind invites diverse perspectives and stimulates growth, while embracing all types of feedback - both positive and negative - can foster self-improvement and understanding. From my observation, it seems differing opinions or constructive criticism are frequently removed from your platforms. This bubble-like environment, where only affirming views are allowed, may inadvertently restrict your growth as a writer.
Moreover, I've read your book and I appreciate the effort and hard work that you've put into your book. However, I have to be candid and say that the quality of the material fell short of expectations. There are numerous areas that require significant improvement and development. Without these necessary revisions, the book, in its current state, is quite disappointing.
Additionally, I wanted to address the matter of 'clickbait' titles in your posts. While they can indeed drive traffic and visibility, they can also lead to a perception of insincerity or manipulation. Striving for genuine engagement with your audience may yield more meaningful interactions and respect in the long run.
Remember, it's through the prism of varied opinions and feedback that we grow. They offer opportunities to see ourselves and our work from different perspectives, which is invaluable in the world of writing.
I encourage you to be more receptive to these voices and to prioritize authenticity in all your interactions. Being truthful to oneself is the essence of writing, and it's through this authenticity that we truly connect with our audience.
