It’s Tuesday September 6, 2022 and the cost of a 2008 Bugatti Veyron is $1.7M dollars. I don’t think it was a bad investment or 50 was lying about the price. Either way this video didn’t age well.
Well he wasn't just making fun of the purchase, he also made sense of it. Somebody saw a sucker, "it's a bad investment!"
He was completely wrong though, this was the first one the made when the company was brought back to life by the VW group (who also own Audi and Lamborghini) at the time and was known for a while as the ‘fastest car in the world’

The market for 20 year old super cars right now is hit and miss, but in 2028 when all (or most) new cars could potentially be electric.. does that 20 year old Bugatti regain its lost value? If it was low mileage and rarely used, then it will get some value but problem is finding someone who admires old Bugattis so you know around the world that percentage is very tiny.
