This video was uploaded a bit later than promised, but we'll make it up to you by posting another one in a couple of days 😄Olivia and I ended up catching a pretty bad case of the flu on this trip (which is what caused the video delay😅). We hope you enjoy and stay safe ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
The buttery burger buns are in fact a French recipe: “Brioche”, which have become very popular as burger buns i Denmark. Nice videos and presentation of Copenhagen. As a citizen it’s really nice to see tourists’ appreciation of our culture. 🇩🇰

We definitely wish we spend more time in Copenhagen. We definitely want to go back, especially in the warmer weather 😊 you’ve been to so many places Michael! Very cool!
Thank you 😊🙏 unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to go to Glasgow 😢 but it’s definitely really high on our list, so hopefully we visit in the next few months.
The mostly underground Metro in Cph. functions without a driver, which gave some problems in the beginning, but now it seems to function fine and effective. And the Blue point is for travel cards. Danes are the most card using people in the world, as we very soon had one, common debit card for all/most banks, The DanCard!
So neat! We did end up on one ride where it seems the entire line went down and a technician needed to come to drive it until the problem was fixed. We loved the Metro! We also noticed that quite a few places were card only so that was interesting to witness as well!
Thank you Kristoffer 😊 we definitely felt very safe throughout our trip. I’m usually on high alert with all the equipment we carry around, but I definitely found myself very relaxed with all that in Denmark. It was great! 😍
Aah thank you for clarifying 😊😊 that is such an awesome housing situation for students. I wish my housing at university was in a cool space like that, right by the water too 😍
Christiania is not dangerous. It’s safe both night and day. And it has a lot of bars, restaurants, theaters, musikvenues, artgalleries, shops, workshops and even a movietheatre. 🤗 The weed-sellers don’t like to be filmed though, wich make good sence, since their businesses is illegal. 😉
Thank you for the info 😊 I guess we didn’t get the right information about Christiania at night. Such a cool place that we wish we had more time to explore. We definitely have to come back to Copenhagen (and explore more of Denmark) 😍
Hi Maria and Olivia, just a few questions. The blond haired one of you sound really Danish (Danish-English accent). Are you Danish? In case you're Danish, why do you hide that fact? And if you're not Danish: You guys should speak with the locals and film conversations with them.
Hi George! Olivia here (likely the blonde as Maria has dark hair), I’m not Danish but may have far back Scandinavian routes! I have a bit of a mixed accent (American-British) so maybe that’s why 😊 Really good idea to speak with the locals, sometimes we’re nervous to do so if we’re not as familiar with the culture. But we loved the Danes and definitely will when we return! All the best 😊
Filming inside Christiania is not a problem. Unless you do it on pusher street where the no photo signs are or take photos directly of drug dealers. Also, it's not a dangerous place. There have been some collisions between drug dealers and police, but it's not dangerous for "normal people". (there were two incidences in 2012 however, where an american tourist was beaten up for filming in pusher street as well as a danish journalist for the same reason one month earlier). Such a shame that Christiania has this downside, cause it also is quite a special place with lot's of creativity, cool stores, cafés and self-build homes and a strong community where people take care of each other. However, it is in general a safe place (unless you're the police or a drug dealer, or a tourist with a camera in pusher street) and it is a misinformation that it's a lawless place. You will see danish police in there like every second day arresting drug dealers. Danish law applies to Christiania like everywhere else, Christianits just ignore the laws about drugs.A few hours after the police has been there, the drug dealing starts up again, because there's a market for it, people buy it, and that's why it's so hard to stop it.
Thank you for your information! We love hearing local inputs and words on places we’ve visited to make us more knowledgable 😊 We’ll be happy to return and explore the area on a deeper level!
Christania is under Danish laws -it's not self govern, that is why they don't want you to film them -you say it yourself there are police raids -they don't have their own police
@@MariaOliviaTravel I think if you got a small lump for personal use, I don't think anything will happen to you. Police ain't that rigid here and for the time being, the ice mines are fully crewed.

I'm here for tips... I live on Vesterbro here in Copenhagen and really don't know what is going on.... ha ha... nice to see you had a good time.
Haha glad we can share some tips with a local 😊 and if you find any new places we haven’t listed, let us know, because we’ll be back
Great video! The "houses" at 6:40 are student dorms.
Thanks for the kind words! We figured they were some sort of student housing! All the best
I would have definitely done the same with the metro ticket Olivia 😅😂 Can't wait to watch part 2!

Love your city and country! 🇩🇰
Those pastries tho😍😍
They were delicious indeed 😋
What restaurant was the first one you visited? That burger looked delicious!
The containers in the industrial area is student housing 😊 makes for affordable rent close to the city and universities
That is really awesome! 🤩Way better accommodations than the dorms in the dorms in the US 😅
Copenhagen is really beautiful - most places are walkable by fiit.
Christiniania is a veryspecial place to visit.

Great vid looks like you had fun. Just one tiny thing there aren’t any places in Copenhagen that’s considered unsafe… no neighborhoods or places

The entire city is unsafe for your braincells..
Did you miss the Christiania´s Christmas market? Smells are amazing There you may film.
Unfortunately we did miss it - it still hadn’t opened when we were there.
what is the name of the places you ate at?
Grillen BurgerBar in Vesterbro and Lille Bakery in Refshaleøen area 😊

Good, raid those criminals, embarrassing for human integrity they still exist..
Getting caught with illegal drugs, will be punished with 2 years hard labor, in the ice mines in Greenland.
😉
Haha we definitely don’t want that 🥶 We didn’t buy anything. It was interesting to observe 😁
