This is a great adventure. Many great places, positive sights and traditions, scrumptious foods.. It's great that you are Hungarian with inside knowledge who shares it for us in english. I've watched several of your videos and I really like them. Thank you Viki!
Ezt en is sajnalom hogy a vasutat lezartak. Mirre hasznaljak most? Nagyon koszonom a videokat. Mindig orulok latni, de nem vagyok meg "orulve"....hahaha. A "Kontent" fantasztikus!
Such a beautiful place, affordable and with huge potential! I had the opportunity to cycling around the Tisza Lake twice, and both were amazing experiences, the new lookout of Kisköre, the free beach(I don't remember exactly if this was in Sarud or Porószlo) definitely are sites to relax and enjoy. One of my dearest memories was to go off the bike path to visit friends in Kunhegyes and taste local food. Thanks for sharing!
Szerbusz Viki! I have to laugh because I said that to my Janos Bacsi when I first met him in the seventies when I first visited Hungary and in typical Hungarian fashion he found my impudence shocking. I really love your videos of Hungary and i love you. My dad is from the village of Gergely-Ugornya located on the Tisza River near Vasarosnameny. It would be wonderful if you could do a video of the town and nearby strand on the Tisza. It is a most beautiful river and I will never forget the delicious Halaszle soup I relished many years ago. Thank you again for your charming portrayal of Hungary
Did I see correctly? Train station of Berekfürdő? A VERY RUNDOWN station! I remember holidaying there with my mother and brother in the early fifties. it was a most basic spa with wonderful thermal water, smelling of sulphur. The old ladies used to wear underwear in the small pools, mother proper bathing costume. the whole set up was primitive, but fantasticly so. Every Saturday live music in the restaurant and dancing. Had my very first dance there with a boy from Budapest. Then, in 1991, out of pure curiosity I revisited Berekfürdő. Gone was the simplicity, the primitive old charm of the place, and gone was the live music. have lovely memories of the old Hungary, poor as we were, but young. Now, at 85, after having lived in the UK for more than half a century, I am back and I am very happy here.
Hi Viki, I've commented before how much I enjoy your videos. May I make a suggestion? I believe you've said that your husband is British. Would it be possible to have a video conversation with you and him in which you could cover what it's like being British living in Hungary? You could cover areas like the language barrier, any cultural surprises, wages, accommodation prices, job markets etc. Over half a million people emigrated from the UK last year. I'm wondering whether Hungary might be a suitable destination and I think your husband's view would be useful. You could even invite questions from your audience if you wanted to.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m thinking of making a video about the differences between the UK and Hungary. Not sure it will be with my husband though as he’s a bit camera shy.😁
Beautiful Thank you sister ❤️ I noticed ypu give language lessons how can i become part of this .Im currently working on my dual citizenship hungary my family is from hungary ❤
Both of my parents were Hungarian refugees. I was born in the United States. I did visit Hungary as a child, Sopron, Kapuvar, Gyor and Budapest. I am not familiar with the Eastern countryside... But realize that this is a very beautiful region. My mother's ancestors - an old noble family ( Tisza Ujhelyi-Ujhelyi) was originally from Eastern Hungary - Tiszaujhely( from where they had gotten their name ) this town is now in Ukraine. The family also had estates in Zemplen county.
They suspended 10 regional passenger lines in Hungary as of 1st of August. This little line in the video was actually closed down before in 2009, then reopened again in 2010 and now sadly closed down again.😢 Hopefully it closed forever!
Beautiful views of Hungary are a balm for the soul !!!
I love your videos so much that I am happy to see wherever you want to take us. 🤗

Igen, kár. Nem tudom, hogy másra használják-e, talán teherszállításra még igen.
Koszonom

Nice place
De szép kis vonat.😢
Igen, olyan cuki volt!
Those strudels looked quite small. I hope they weren't expensive.
They were quite filling actually! They were also good value, well, better than prices in Budapest anyway. They were Ft480 each.🤗
Such a shame they stopped the little train
