You can do the same thing in another program. If you have Photoshop on your computer or GIMP (GIMP is free) You can find blank peyote and brick "paper" on the internet and open it up in whatever program you choose. Either put your image in a separate layer on top of it and lower the opacity, or put the "paper" over it and set the "paper" layer style to "multiply" Then make a separate layer for your colours and fill in the pattern.
@tsummerlee You have a good point for the larger, more complex patterns, but for beginners who just do small and simple patterns (like me) I'd recomend using something like the free GIMP before putting down any money. I suppose I'd be more inclined to use programs like GIMP or PS because I started out making computer graphic art before I started any kind of beading. I suppose it'd be dependant on what kind of background experience you're coming from.
@Forestimp45 Really? I suppose in theory this would work, but it isn't very practical or efficient. Dealing with hundreds, possibly thousands, of individual squares of color would translate into lots of extra work, I'd think. I'd be interested in seeing how this could be done in say a three or four color pattern, though. Sometimes one or two squares have to be substituted for a different color not in the pattern, and that can happen dozens of times throughout the pattern.

I need a new career, this makes me happy. I dont know if there is any money to be made.. but this makes me happy. I want to make a art deco of my kids in beads, and if you can give me an idea, I would very much appreciate it. thanks again
i went to the beadwizard.com sight and bought the program. do they send you a disc or a down load area, if i do down load it from my puter i have not got a down load page yet. can you hlep me please
