Did anyone have those 39 cent cheeseburger specials and 29 cent hamburger days. I know John Cena also stacked up on the 39s working at a gym and going back to his caddi Fleetwood mobile home filling up on energy bars since they had them for folks
Same. Our local McDonald's had an outdoor play area with a jungle gym/ball pit. They took the play area away when they remodeled to the new "modern" looking McDonald's, which imo looks so ugly compared to the retro look.
The quality of a McDonald's experience back then was far better than today in every way possible. I remember the '$.39 cheeseburger Sundays' special they had going for quite some time around that time period.
Exactly! Every time my family and I drive by any fast food place, I look thru my window to see who's sitting inside, and elderly people will always be the ones sitting.
Working the fries station during rush means the whole freakin restaurant is looking at you...cashiers, managers, customers. If fries were on hold the whole cookie factory grinds to a halt
This brings such nostalgia to me back when McDonald’s was actually good and they had good workers and managers managing making sure everyone is doing their job.. now you don’t even want to get near one don’t have good workers and don’t give same quality like they used to.
Costumer service was great. People eating also behaved and cleaned after themselves. Plenty of workers. Big contracts to what you see in one of those establishments nowadays.
This was the last era of when fast food was actually good. My sis worked here back during this time, and everyday I looked for to them McFlurrys 😂 a kids paradise and the apple pies
back when everyone ate mcdonalds the fries would always be so perfect and crispy. they just kept getting pumped off the line fresh & hot golden brown, so much more salt than today
This was my first job. McDonald’s gets a lot of flack but I enjoyed my time there until I was forced out. Sadly now theses companies in Canada only hire those from outside the country cause it’s cheaper for them. Hopefully they can get back into hiring youth cause it’s important. Good first job.
funny thing is they do hire youth. youth, immigrants, and people with records are all equally vulnerable and easy to take advantage of/have low or no standards of their employers. at least the youth have their parents, but they may not even realize how poorly theyre being treated/payed
Does anyone remember when double cheeseburgers were .99??? I remember back then if you only had $5.00. You could several sandwiches a large shake and a fry
9:31 holy shit I remember those big red cups when I was like 10ish. I forgot what they were for or wat it was about but I remember getting them lol good times 😊
Man this brings me back to my childhood. I was a wee kiddo back then and at that time the super size option was ridiculous even though I had no clue😆. But after seeing that documentary movie Super Size Me it made sense. The super size era. But hey that’s my McDonald’s that I remember and everyone were working hard and making the business very enjoyable each time you get there and ordered. Today hardly nobody wants to work or too lazy to work because of technology and the internet that we have today. Pretty sad. You can’t beat the old times.

I remember working at McDonald's I started in 2006 I was 21 at the time, I remember those uniforms they were a pain in the ass to work in. They were thick, hot, and impossible to keep clean cause they were white polos. I worked at McDonald's for a total of 15 years. I do not miss it at all😂 It use to be okay back then until they wanted to have a trillion options and those damn McCafe drinks. It was draining constantly having rushes and no down time. But that was then. McDonald's use to be pretty okay to work at back then til it wasn't lol.
what date was this filmed in 2002? january or february or march or april or may or june or july or august or september or october or november or december?
Although I argue 1990s culture ended with 9/11, there was still a remnant of 90's aesthetic to this McDonald's from 2002 with the uniforms and architecture.
Back then you could sit down enjoy your meal and relax. Nowadays I wouldn’t be caught dead eating in a McDonald’s. People fighting customers jumping over the counter because they’re food is wrong. workers in the back making tic toc videos twerking and acting a fool smh. Frickn ridiculous.
Crazy to think that 2002 was 22 years ago. Time just flies...
Back when McDonald's had crowded dining rooms and working ice cream machines.
And play places, complete with an area for birthday parties!
And we didn’t have to do the job of the cashiers and place our orders ourselves😒. And they make more now to do less lol

With inflation you don’t make any money now with 39 cents.. unless you’re selling bubble gum
Walk into any fast food restaurant today. You won't see anyone under 40 sitting in the dining area. Everyone else is outside sitting in their SUV.
I am 23 and maybe go inside fast food a few times a month. Yes it is definitely nowhere close to the experience I had as a kid.
