I hardly ever comment on videos, but you did a phenomenal job dude. It was super entertaining and informative. As someone who is 2 years into the hobby it’s awesome to hear all the history. Would love to see more of these. Subbed.
These are the kinds of history lessons that make me grateful there are informative videos like these *emotional clapping*
These history lessons are so good. Hearing about all this again is bringing back memories and Its nice to hear about it all laid out in an informative vid.
one of your best videos. loved the detailed, but not long winded history that lead to this point.
Great video! I had seen only ever seen photos of the failed Massdrop case, nice to hear how badly it sounded too.
As usual, giving newbies like me with words to research and be more informative while talking about everything.
This channel is a rare vein of gold in this community 🌟
This is making me rethink my planned purchases for the year lol. Great video, thank you for taking the time to go in the history and why this board is so awesome!
Soo, I'm gonna need an HHKB Limited Edition for the keycaps and the PCB, additionally a Realforce with purple Sliders to get the full 4mm key travel + silenced, then BKE Redux very light domes for the most pleasant tactility and of course the Norbauer HHKB case. That's steep.
Great job at explaining all the difficulties of this project! It seems an amazing keyboard, I really like that he made a design that is simple but without being boring. Probably in real life it will look even better, as from the renders and the pictures of the Norbaforce I didn't understand the sloped sides, but in real life you can clearly see that it gives it a monument like stance.
Very nice! Love to see this project go thru!
Love the format. The history made for a great video.
Good info. I'm new to the keeb obsession and I didn't realize the history of Topre, or what might be the attractiveness of the HHKB. It sounds pretty nice! Please do more of these deep historical dives into the hobby.
this type of videos are so interesting!! and I think a lot of people could also appreciate since the hobby has grown a lot lately and most of us haven't been around for too long!!
man i wish you were still doing stuff like this, great video!
I absolutely love this style of video!
I love this! I've been following Topre since I've come to this hobby and remember coming across that metal case that was available on MassDrop! I can't believe we've come so far and I can't wait for the heavy grail to come out. I also wish that I had my hands on a HHKB Pro HG hahahahahahaha
Wow! Thank you for the in-depth info.
Awesome video man. Stoked for this board
I haven't been this excited about an IC in a while
Great video and explanation Huey!
Am really excited for it, am even checking exactly what I need to sell and for what prices to have enough money for it lol
love this type of historical content about the keyboard community! your narration and script feel a bit stilted and clumsy but keep working on it and keep up the videos!
Great video into the history of the community for a noob like me!
Yes. Please continue Control F
Great content, keep it up.
I hope to get in on this group buy because i just love my hhkb.
Great video my dude.
Thank you Huey
ctrl f is fun. totally forgot about that massdrop case lmao. such a cool project but im not a fan at all of topre or 60%s, and while getting in just for the history of it would be cool, its gon be expensie af
Not mentioning kbdfans upcoming hhkb case?
To be honest I pretty much forgot about it since I haven't seen anything since the first tease
What is your quest?
Did you mean the HHK+B? Never heard of the HHKB before.
HHKB is Happy Hacking KeyBoard
I got a Norbaforce for my Realforce 87U 55g, and although I do own and love an HHKB pro 2 I'm not sure I'll join this GB. I acknowledge Ryan's tremendous work and financial R&D effort, but given the final $650 price for an _empty case_ - as much as I like the end result - I wonder if it was worth it, in the end... 🤔
Where can i buy your background signs/stickers/whatever they are
If you look up different sticker vendors on facebook and instagram you can find them; They're also called slaps. most of these are years old and not made anymore. Like keyboards, some of these are made in limited runs
@@manofinterests Thanks
I think I prefer stock case. The thock sound more satisfying
Why so much hype for a metal keyboard for Topre? Honestly, I think Topre sounds better on plastic cases. It’s the same story as with Alps. Plastic provides a bassier, more thocky sound.
Wrong. Should be Command-F. :p
Nice video. BTW I hate hhkb layout
????????????????????????!!
Very boring and dry... sorry man!
Topre nerds may froth over this though.
