I can see how less impactful her LC is, since it requires her ult to maximize the LC, which isn't a straight up buff like Good night & Sleep well. But again, I don't see it underperforming at all while I was testing. To be fair, auto or manual w/ DoT team is kinda similar tho, so while I do agree on the underperforming in circumstances, it's worth taking things w/ a grain of salt, as her LC secures her consistent stacks of DoTs, pushing the Def shred% to a very high level as well. Just my take on BS's LC since, I do advise anyone rolling for BS, her LC is an insurance for building her into a team comp for like, every MoC section
oh ya I totally agree, her LC is still BIS, but due to the nature of Duo DPS comps, it's not as potent as say jingliu's signature LC. I personally like it for the defense shred as well, since the more defense we can shred the juicier the damage!
@@zmm1337 In my defense, tbf, it's not really abt duo DPS at all, especially when BS and Kk's roles are more of a bomb and a detonator than just spliting the dmg like how usual duo DPS comps work, especially because BS's LC is really only for herself, much like JL's LC but for Nihility and better, but Kafka's mechanic makes it relevant for her as well. Well tbf, it also needs to take the stats into consideration, as whichever offers stats more valuable to the build, for example, your BS setup is loaded w/ atk% much more than dmg%, then surely Good Night and Sleep Well could really outperform her LC with a whooping 72% Dmg bonus, not to mention the dmg loss early be4 ult from BS's LC. However, a BS on a balanced setup with atk% equivalent to dmg%, the LC can be somewhat more efficient, as it provides both atk% and dmg% on an equal amount, with a 28% Def shred bonus, which is actually insane. Tbh, your tier list of BS's available LC can be good, with a few adjustments since, the F2P LC is still within consideration of whether it's really consistently efficient, or the performance can go up and down consecutively. A lack of EHR is also the reason why there's not really an accurate take on these LC. In circumstances you can land the DoT well, it can perform really good like how you demonstrated. But not landing Arcana stacks continuously can also affect the performance heavily, so it's really kinda hard to judge, and should be taken with a grain of salt for anyone finding some help abt BS.
Good showcase. I tried the same team to test Black Swans performance basically and got about the same results. The team I had the most fun with though, and even better results was benching my FuXuan in favor of FMC with Trends of the Universal Market and playing FMC, Luka, Black Swan, Kafka. My FMC is build for Def/Effect Resistance , and Belobog of the Architects 2pc. Tested with 4pc Guard / 2pc Guard + 2pc Knight but the best results were with 4pc Wandering Cloud to start with 4 skill points. Luka targeted the Spectral Envoy consistently and was able to break it fast enough along with Kafka before it started AoEing me down. Also, having Burn+Bleed along with the Shock didn't just boost Kafkas dmg considerably, it also made Arcana stacks accumulate faster thus boosting Black Swans personal dmg as well. The only issue I had during autobattle is that it often left FMC with 0 skill points to taunt right before Kafkas Domination. A team that performs similarly is also FMC (With Trend), Sampo, Black Swan, Kafka. Sampo can keep Wind Sheer up with his normal attacks and generate Skill Points, but this Cycle kind of needed Physical Breaking. If we ever get a Wind/Physical version of Asta or a Wind/Physical version of Trends of the Universal Market, DoT teams will be so much better.

For PF maybe, but in general, no. Most people actually enjoy playing the game. Playing on auto is like putting a Tesla on auto and thinking you can drive. Being lazy to learn game mechanics shouldn't be the standard.
I'm using the MoC craftable light cone for her(showtime one) and it's been working pretty well as I have a good amount of effect hit rate already and the light cone at s5
great vid, just wanted to say that the showtime lightcone did not give the 28% atk buff since she only had 79%ER. it should be able to comfortably get 20-21 cycles if u build BS to have more ER and less atk.
Oh yah I changed the relics to get 80% ehr for the testing at 3:30, but the clip later incorrectly showed her EHR with that LC since I was changing around builds so much that I forgot to switch one of the relic. Apologies!
I figured it would be something like this, nihility as a whole as pretty solid LC options for dmg and utility. I'm am using Tutorial cause of the EHR and energy regen that makes her ult less of a inconvenience and I'm getting 6 to 7 cylces too. I think the biggest difference for a whole DoT team is having E1 RM but lets face it getting that with the banner order we got requiered either swiping or giving up on some of the Penacony units, something an f2p wouldn't do.

I mean, I'm pretty sure they specifically tune the new content to be good for whichever new character releases... Argenti, bugs that duplicate with physical weakness. Ruan Mei, old PF with lots of mobs where most mobs basically die if they get weakness broken once. It's no surprise that Black Swan is super strong in the new PF.

I don't like the condition that it has since BS ultimate is on the longer side for cooldown. It's a viable option since duo dps comps aren't heavily affected by one dps only so use it if you don't have anything else or waiting for a lightcone like eyes of the prey! (the new f2p lightcone showtime at S5 is quite insane though)
only part I'm iffy about in this video is you were missing 0.5% for the bonus on "it's showtime", since you get a nice bonus if you hit 80% ehr, otherwise very nice video. I mainly watch your Warpless content but this is also great.

I may have missed something, but your stat sheet using GNSW showed about 15% more EHR than the Showtime LC. Edit: nvm it was the orb, showed a few seconds later
Btw, with the 40%EHR on the Signature it makes it so i could do an Attack chest piece. That’s where a lot of the Value comes from. Granted u can still hit 120% EHR with Subs.
Ya the Signature LC is great for that and even before tutorial mission LC is surprisingly good too! Eyes of prey S5 is still the 2nd best option though... it's so good but sadly I don't have it at S5

Honestly I'm not too surprised by the difference between the light cone and GNSL S5. It's 72% damage bonus Vs 10% attack and 14% Def shred, though it's buff does occasionally jump to 15% attack and 21% Def shred after you break the enemy with wind or lightning, and again occasionally it jumps to the full 20% attack and 28% Def shred after you use swans ult. Tldr it's not super consistent unless you run a 3rd dot instead of ruan mei. You'd get the advantage of having an extra person who can ramp up arcana as well + faster breaks if you bring sampo counters the weakness break efficiency that ruan mei brings. I wonder how different the result would be though, either way dope vid, one of the better ways I've seen light cone comparisons be done on YT
im fairly certain that the stacks do not expire, if you start out with Black swan ult, you should be getting all 4 stacks instantly for the whole fight
Hey zmm do you think it is possible that because of the def shred moc buffs we are already reaching very close to 100% def shred without the sig lc and thats why the additional def shred on the lightcone is not taking effect and causing it to perform worse than expected? Love your content btw 😘.
Hey thanks for the feedback & great observation. I think it should work the opposite (benefit the LC even more since def shred is an undiluted multiplier, therefore it compounds even harder the higher it is) So ya it's desirable to reach 100% or get as close to it 👍
Great testing and comparison. I kinda agree Eyes of Prey is the second bis for BS. Currently, that's the best I have with high superimposition. Failed to get her Sig Light Cone but with Archeron next patch, I don't think I need to waste more.
Ty! and yeah her LC is not cost effective. It's better to get someone like jingliu or Archeron LC since they are built to be hypercarries so without their LCs it's a lot less damage than if no lc for black swan
Regarding the "It's showtime" lightcone, as shown in the vid you were using it with 79.5% ehr while the description on it specifies you need at least 80% to activate the atk% bonus, that's why i believe it performed poorly. From my experience with it, its definitely the best 4* lc to use on her as long as you can get the ehr requirement from subs.

Man I made a big mistake pulling for black swan. I lost to ruan mei, didnt have enough wishes for kafka and so I had no other nihity characters built for black swan + didnt even farm dot set... hopefully acheron works well with black swan 😢
Just finished raising my S1 EotP to level 80 but I've been looking at my S4 GNSW that's been replaced when I decided to go for Kafka's S1... I guess I don't really need that extra 20% EHR and should just take the extra damage from GNSW instead, until I start seeing a lot of effect res popups. Especially since I do have Kafka's sig now, I don't need to land every single arcana stack to reach 7.
I suggest with Black swan light cone you should run ATK% body and either wind or atk orb, your ehr need only to be about 100%, i find this a little bit stronger than sacrificing atk% for just a little bit more ehr
I’m not to surprised about good night and sleep well because it gives 72% dmg bonus at S5 LOL and the only requirements are 3 debuffs on the enemy so with a dot team you can get that so fast and even just a normal team it’s not hard to achieve. It’s definitely the best 4 star LC bar none. Although other sources I saw her sig was a lot better than other LC? I’m not sure tho
Yeah those are prob correct sources for optimal rotations (i.e. getting 7+ arcana stacks for extra defense shred each time). But remember that this is a duo DPS comp so nerfing 1/2 of the dps by 20% isn't as bad as nerfing a hypercarry like jingliu by 20%. Also this is mainly autoplay so it's not optimized!
Dude would you consider doing a vid on Black Swan comps without Kafka? I just want your detailed take on her as the hyper carry and with other supports like SW and Pela.
I just see Acheron leak skill. She might be also the same debuffer like Black swan, pela and silver wolf. I wish she is debuffer and can be flexible with other dps since my jingliu team got weaker since my ruan mei is on nihility team.
i just reached level 50 and my black swan is level 70 i grinded for her e1 and s1 i deal 270k damage per dot in simulated universe with shitty relics she is broken
I have been using Huohuo RuanMei Kafka BlackSwan as auto battle. FuXuan is more reliable as DoT is squishy. But man when enemy doesn’t hit hard, they melt.
Been watching other review and most of them recommend E1 over her signature LC, welp I already pull her LC I'd say that building her with her signature is a lot easier.
Yeah imo, I don't ever recommend pulling for eidolons. They are too expensive (compared to LCs) and they aren't interchangeable (i.e. I can't move eidolons to a diff character, but I can move black swan's LC to someone like Sampo). Her LC is still the best option, and even better in manual play bc of the 7 stacks w/ arcana
Oh yeah, wish I can test it, but I can tell you that it's mathematically better than S5 GNSW by 40% effect hit rate. (you still get the 72% dmg boost due to EHR conversion which is the same as GNSW). So TLDR: damage% is the same as GNSW, but you get a 40% free EHR
*looks at my S3 GNSW that's on Kafka and my utter lack of any copies of Eyes* Ah. Nevertheless. (I've got my Swan on Tutorial Mission because yeaaaaah)

I’ve been using tutorial with an er rope. I wonder what your thoughts are on that? From the maths it means you can reliably get a 3 turn ultimate and sometimes a 2 turn. I also run attack orb because you are sacrificing it with the er rope.
Might not be too bad since you're running atk sphere! doesn't seem terrible if the goal is to maintain as many stacks as possible! This sounds fun, might try myself!

welp, since im slow on leveling and never use jades to refresh and just waiting for those potions to refresh trailblazer power.... and i just got bronya last time from standard banner getting 300/300, and i suck on speed tuning (they just wont pop out especially ERR), so i always getting 30/36 on every Moc (though i started late on Moc somewhere v1.5) and my first Pure fiction is just 10/12 since herta and himiko is going on emergency leveling on both of them (and i might not reach finishing it..)

I think it should work the opposite (benefit the LC even more) since you only get 24% def shred max from turbulence buff (most of the time it's 16%) + 18.5% her skill (mine at 7) + 18% 4pc prison + 20% talent + 28% = 109% which is only a ~9% overcap, but you hit that 100% which should yield insane damage. However, the reason why the LC isn't as good (for autoplay) is b/c the autoplay doesn't min max the 7 arcana stacks for the extra 20% from her talent. If you manually play, you'll definitely see a difference!

The wind dmg% orb is worse in this scenario because you're using Glamoth + EHR body..... If using Pan-Cosmic + Atk% body, the wind dmg% is superior, even with Ruan Mei
8:40 you were not really using the showtime light cone effectively, you can definitely blame your bad ehr substats on your relics but, you were missing the ~30% atk boost for having at least 80% ehr (you had 79.5% lmao) If you used the atk% orb with higher ehr substats you would probably have done a lot better

I'm very curious about your bs build... because i was able to beat the seconf floor in 4 cycles, without Ruan mei...I ran kafka, sampo, black swan and huohuo. (Using BS Sig) Granted, mine wasn't on auto, but my bs also wasn't fully built... and sampo was e4, not e6... idk if the sampo being another wind dps is what made the difference, but I assume Ruan Mei with an s5 memories would perform better... anyway, great video, keep it up. Eyes of the prey, because 65% base chance to hit with 120 ehr vs 40% effect res enemies can miss/get resisted. Vs 30% effect res enemies the higher atk build may be better.

I don't like the condition that it has since BS ultimate is on the longer side for cooldown. It's a viable option since duo dps comps aren't heavily affected by one dps only so use it if you don't have anything else or waiting for a lightcone like eyes of the prey! (the new f2p lightcone showtime at S5 is quite insane though)
only part I'm iffy about in this video is you were missing 0.5% for the bonus on "it's showtime", since you get a nice bonus if you hit 80% ehr, otherwise very nice video. I mainly watch your Warpless content but this is also great.

But yeah the testing shouldn't be affected, only thing is that I have the LC at S3 not S5!

Btw, with the 40%EHR on the Signature it makes it so i could do an Attack chest piece. That’s where a lot of the Value comes from. Granted u can still hit 120% EHR with Subs.

Good news is that black swan is great, but her role is very easily replaceable in the future. Sparkle is the right choice. Maybe you get early! glgl
Honestly I'm not too surprised by the difference between the light cone and GNSL S5. It's 72% damage bonus Vs 10% attack and 14% Def shred, though it's buff does occasionally jump to 15% attack and 21% Def shred after you break the enemy with wind or lightning, and again occasionally it jumps to the full 20% attack and 28% Def shred after you use swans ult.
Tldr it's not super consistent unless you run a 3rd dot instead of ruan mei. You'd get the advantage of having an extra person who can ramp up arcana as well + faster breaks if you bring sampo counters the weakness break efficiency that ruan mei brings.
I wonder how different the result would be though, either way dope vid, one of the better ways I've seen light cone comparisons be done on YT
im fairly certain that the stacks do not expire, if you start out with Black swan ult, you should be getting all 4 stacks instantly for the whole fight

Hey zmm do you think it is possible that because of the def shred moc buffs we are already reaching very close to 100% def shred without the sig lc and thats why the additional def shred on the lightcone is not taking effect and causing it to perform worse than expected?

Hey thanks for the feedback & great observation. I think it should work the opposite (benefit the LC even more since def shred is an undiluted multiplier, therefore it compounds even harder the higher it is) So ya it's desirable to reach 100% or get as close to it 👍

Great testing and comparison. I kinda agree Eyes of Prey is the second bis for BS. Currently, that's the best I have with high superimposition. Failed to get her Sig Light Cone but with Archeron next patch, I don't think I need to waste more.
Ty! and yeah her LC is not cost effective. It's better to get someone like jingliu or Archeron LC since they are built to be hypercarries so without their LCs it's a lot less damage than if no lc for black swan
Regarding the "It's showtime" lightcone, as shown in the vid you were using it with 79.5% ehr while the description on it specifies you need at least 80% to activate the atk% bonus, that's why i believe it performed poorly. From my experience with it, its definitely the best 4* lc to use on her as long as you can get the ehr requirement from subs.

Man I made a big mistake pulling for black swan. I lost to ruan mei, didnt have enough wishes for kafka and so I had no other nihity characters built for black swan + didnt even farm dot set... hopefully acheron works well with black swan 😢

Just finished raising my S1 EotP to level 80 but I've been looking at my S4 GNSW that's been replaced when I decided to go for Kafka's S1... I guess I don't really need that extra 20% EHR and should just take the extra damage from GNSW instead, until I start seeing a lot of effect res popups.
Especially since I do have Kafka's sig now, I don't need to land every single arcana stack to reach 7.
I suggest with Black swan light cone you should run ATK% body and either wind or atk orb, your ehr need only to be about 100%, i find this a little bit stronger than sacrificing atk% for just a little bit more ehr

I’m not to surprised about good night and sleep well because it gives 72% dmg bonus at S5 LOL and the only requirements are 3 debuffs on the enemy so with a dot team you can get that so fast and even just a normal team it’s not hard to achieve. It’s definitely the best 4 star LC bar none. Although other sources I saw her sig was a lot better than other LC? I’m not sure tho
Yeah those are prob correct sources for optimal rotations (i.e. getting 7+ arcana stacks for extra defense shred each time). But remember that this is a duo DPS comp so nerfing 1/2 of the dps by 20% isn't as bad as nerfing a hypercarry like jingliu by 20%. Also this is mainly autoplay so it's not optimized!

I have been using Huohuo RuanMei Kafka BlackSwan as auto battle. FuXuan is more reliable as DoT is squishy. But man when enemy doesn’t hit hard, they melt.
Huohuo is the best manual support for sure! I'm waiting for a real gigachad support that can make my team immortal like fu xuan

Yeah imo, I don't ever recommend pulling for eidolons. They are too expensive (compared to LCs) and they aren't interchangeable (i.e. I can't move eidolons to a diff character, but I can move black swan's LC to someone like Sampo). Her LC is still the best option, and even better in manual play bc of the 7 stacks w/ arcana

Oh yeah, wish I can test it, but I can tell you that it's mathematically better than S5 GNSW by 40% effect hit rate. (you still get the 72% dmg boost due to EHR conversion which is the same as GNSW). So TLDR: damage% is the same as GNSW, but you get a 40% free EHR

I’ve been using tutorial with an er rope. I wonder what your thoughts are on that? From the maths it means you can reliably get a 3 turn ultimate and sometimes a 2 turn. I also run attack orb because you are sacrificing it with the er rope.
Might not be too bad since you're running atk sphere! doesn't seem terrible if the goal is to maintain as many stacks as possible! This sounds fun, might try myself!

welp, since im slow on leveling and never use jades to refresh and just waiting for those potions to refresh trailblazer power.... and i just got bronya last time from standard banner getting 300/300, and i suck on speed tuning (they just wont pop out especially ERR), so i always getting 30/36 on every Moc (though i started late on Moc somewhere v1.5) and my first Pure fiction is just 10/12 since herta and himiko is going on emergency leveling on both of them (and i might not reach finishing it..)
Sig is bad because of the moc buff sins you can hit 100% def shred without it it make the best part of the LC useless

I think it should work the opposite (benefit the LC even more) since you only get 24% def shred max from turbulence buff (most of the time it's 16%) + 18.5% her skill (mine at 7) + 18% 4pc prison + 20% talent + 28% = 109% which is only a ~9% overcap, but you hit that 100% which should yield insane damage. However, the reason why the LC isn't as good (for autoplay) is b/c the autoplay doesn't min max the 7 arcana stacks for the extra 20% from her talent. If you manually play, you'll definitely see a difference!

The wind dmg% orb is worse in this scenario because you're using Glamoth + EHR body..... If using Pan-Cosmic + Atk% body, the wind dmg% is superior, even with Ruan Mei

8:40 you were not really using the showtime light cone effectively, you can definitely blame your bad ehr substats on your relics but, you were missing the ~30% atk boost for having at least 80% ehr (you had 79.5% lmao)
If you used the atk% orb with higher ehr substats you would probably have done a lot better

I'm very curious about your bs build... because i was able to beat the seconf floor in 4 cycles, without Ruan mei...I ran kafka, sampo, black swan and huohuo. (Using BS Sig)
Granted, mine wasn't on auto, but my bs also wasn't fully built... and sampo was e4, not e6...
idk if the sampo being another wind dps is what made the difference, but I assume Ruan Mei with an s5 memories would perform better...

Hey! Eyes of prey. Imo always better to go with the LC that has a higher ceiling (you'll eventually get S5) The difference between s3 vs s5 is very minimal that you won't notice. Hope that helps, and have a wonderful day!

Eyes of the prey, because 65% base chance to hit with 120 ehr vs 40% effect res enemies can miss/get resisted. Vs 30% effect res enemies the higher atk build may be better.
