Crazy...1972 and Alan Watts is basically proposing simulation theory. What an amazing human being, I'll never get enough of him!

He probably wasn't _the_ first, but he was ahead of the curve on a lot of things.

Actually he wasn't proposing any theory. What he did was, just tried convincing himself.
He got soo time ahead thoughts but deep down he knew his own thoughts never meant anything.
He simpley said, (I don't know anything, Iam nobody in nothing,)

Around this time though technology was being played with. He talks about computers essentially. Being able to store and recall. Records. Videos...etc. not only....but he's really on production of robotics like holograms even. Being able to fully interact with the reproduction directly in our line of sight. In a way, like a virtual reality setting even. Which is all what is happening today. In all I'd say he predicted.

Everything is god. The simulation theory is that you are playing hide and seek with your self. What you see around you is not real in the sense that it is created for you to experience a sense of wonder and companionship. Some of us feel alone even when with people. Could it be that maybe it is because what we are experiencing is our self which is all that there is. There is nothing but you, God. It is all a trick but it is also all so real. Ying and yang. You are both but none of them at all. Watch some Kung fu panda lol

Wonder what Allen would say if he were here today?

Its exactly the same mess going on which is getting more obvious for everybody living in this matrix of observation until the matrix itself dissolves.
It is like a ball you throw against the wall and it bounces back to you - the consciousness always searches for its roots and after it found itself again it automatically sprouts in the means of nature, as it is meant to be. And it does not want to be a bike or plane anymore. It simply is a root celebrating itself and through that it is growing as it is meant to be

I don't think Alan would present any differently. He's rooting in consciousness which is all things in being. As he would say, the fish are dancing. Sounds echo to a distant past called memory. I couldn't imagine Alan shifting even in today's world.

@@Zephyr9810 I think things are a whole lot crazier than in the 60’s though those were crazy times too. Perhaps it’s my perspective that has changed from my youth of taking to the streets after Kent State, watching Watts burn and the Viet Nam war broadcast on the evening news, to global warming, an insurrection, and a court taking away rights in my later years. IDK 🤷‍♀️

@@GaryRSpicer I’d just like to here his thoughts on the times is all. Don’t expect him to have changed, not asking him too.
