Also been following Andrea forever! Love you both!! God bless
Oh I know. I’ve been following her for 3 years now!
I've been following Andrea for years, you both are so inspiring and beautiful. Love your finds Kristen, especially that rug and quilt for Rosie's room. God bless you and your family💗
I already follow her, but I have a handful that r my favorites! And your in the Top 5 have a Good Weekend!
You are precious! I’m 70 years old and I dressed my children and myself when they were young from Goodwill and Salvation Army. I always found nice, stylish clothing for my family at a fraction of the cost that my friends were spending. It makes me happy to watch you carry on this habit and I think you are so wise. What a fun mom you are to allow your little girls to be real princesses with your British accents. They will remember this always. You’re creating such special memories for them!
Our girls are head to toe in thrifted clothing every single day!
If you are collecting classic children’s series, I have to recommend the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace! They start when Betsy is five and follow her through school, up to her getting married. They’re similar to the Little House books but they’re set in Minnesota. ❤
You being the queen and the accents and the girls being the princesses is the sweetest fun thing !
It really creates sweet memories!
Hi Kristen! Nice haul! The hanger you asked about is meant to hang pants or skirts. You can hang them by the waist or hang the pants upside down at the ankles. You could also fold a table cloth and hang that. I have used them to hang art or small tapestries too.
Great idea!
The hook flips down so the hanger opens.
Yes my father had all his pants on these hangers. He was a tailor and always hung his pants by the hems
Wow! $10 for the rug. 😮
Dear Kristen, I am so JAZZED that you and Andrea are collaborating. I subscribe to both of your channels. I am 76 yrs. old and have four ladies in my life, I've been close to for 40 years. As I told Andrea earlier today, I'm praying that you two will be able to meet in person and keep this friendship alive and growing. Christian sisters are valuable. Now I'm going back to finish watching your video. Hugs💞
We are planning on it!
I love that princess idea so much more than wearing stuff.
That is a pants hanger as far as I know. The hook hinges down and it opens up the wood pieces. I'd thought about putting art in mine that I have.
Love your candlelight stories! Great memories for the girls and you!! 🙏
We really have such a sweet time!
I have been thriving since I was 5 with my mom....I'm now 71 and still thrifting😍😍😍😘
Kristen, As another commenter stated regarding the wooden hanger, it is a pant hanger, you open it up by bending the hook back placing your pant legs between the wooden slats and lock the hanger back in place by pulling the hook back up and snap into place.
I have thrifted my whole life, as my mom was an avid thrifter. She found so many lovely things through the years, and my first home was furnished with early and vintage garage sale items. When we could afford new, it was always on sale and then there was usually some haggling involved. Nearing 70 I still find the hunt exhilarating! I found four 4 crystal pieces a couple weeks ago, and all were flawless. Starting your girls young will provide hours of entertainment and many treasures!
FYI down pillows are not good if you have allergies. I love the brass candle holders. I'm always on the lookout for them.
The second hanger is for pants or skirts.
It’s a skirt or pants hanger fold the handle down and the two wood pieces open place the pant or shirt inside the two wooden pieces and push the handle back up. They are amazing…simply love your videos. I’m in awe at all the beautiful things you find…
P S. I love that you do the British accent thing with the candles. That is so sweet and precious, your girls will always remember that with fondness I'm sure. ☺️
It is one of our favorite traditions!
The tie holder would be cute in the kitchen for aprons. ❤❤❤
Great idea!
I think your ritual of the British accent and candles is adorable. They will remember it foreveer.
Cute shirt, I came over from Andrea. I never knew about the bins. Some great finds. That rug!!! I have to encourage you with your sweet idea of candlight princess evenings. So dear. We used to hear, "knock, knock" every once in a while during dinner, back when our boys were growing up, my husband would go to answer the door, and return with a British accent, often as 'the Queen' or some Duke. He would use the time to talk about good manners, being kind, and such, before suddenly being called away. The boys loved it. Fun memories.
So sweet!!
It's for a pair of pants, you hang it on the bottom where the leg comes out, not the waist. And the metal hook opens up, bring it down. And when you put the pants bring the hook up and close it ... Very cool.
Oh and Pine and Prospect is one of my favorite UA-cam channels I love her style also I'm totally into her mom style for sure
Isn’t she great?!
That hanger is for slacks. It spreads open and then a piece slides down to hold the slacks.
Thanks for sharing!
The Anne of Green Gables books by Lucy Maud Montgomery are great also.
They are! Emily Faith got me one!
The rug 😮😍😍 and I love your tradition with your girls!!
Be sure you use a rug pad under your rugs. They protect the floor and extend the life of the rugs. Great scores!
Thanks for the tip!
Hi Kristen, I came over from Andrea’s channel and so glad I did. Great video & love your style. Have a Blessed day 😊
I love thrifting! I have a basket that I fill with donations and when it’s full it’s time to go thrift shopping. Love the princess story, what great memories you are making. I use to do jammin in our jammies, we would put on our pajamas, turn on music and have a singing dancing good time.
How fun!
How fun!!! And yep, Adore Andrea, too!
She is so great!
That is a pants hanger, you bend the hook part backward, place the pants between the wooden pieces; then snap it back in place.
I love lamp light too! The Lord is concerned about everything in our life!!!! Love the brass candle sticks!!!!❤
He sees the little things!
Lots of great finds! I started thrifting about 32 years ago. Now I have 6 kids who also see the value in thrifting! I feel like my job as a parent is complete lol
Thrifting has always been my lifestyle ❤
Same!
Hi! I came over from Andrea’s channel! Nice to meet you! Yes, that little hanger was meant for ties…and the next hanger is a vintage skirt/pant holder, and very collectible to use to hold a print or wall hanging. Good find! ❤
Thank you for being here, Deb!
Please show what your working on in your yard!! 🙏🏻 Gardening is so fun!
I always forget to film it! It's not too graceful. Haha!
You are the very best! You are creating such an amazing childhood for your children! XXOO
Aw, I appreciate that! We try to have fun. 😊
That one hanger that kind of clips shut is for pants hung from the bottom of the leg or for skirts hung from the waist.
I love when I have thrift want and the Lord provides it!! Love watching you, great haul!
He is so good!
haha i love the candle light bedtime routine!
You are such a fun mom! My best friend is British. I think that is so cool that you bring them upstairs & tuck them into bed with your candle light & accent.
Okay, I'm jealous. I want a British best friend!
@@KristenHoffman oh I think you're so funny saying your jealousy whatever best friend! You are like my favorite Channel on UA-cam I watch all my entertainment on UA-cam LOL I've actually interviewing for a job at Goodwill in St Cloud Minnesota where close to where I live I'll let you know if I get it or not.
Kristen, what a great haul. I love the little thing you do with your girls to make them feel like princesses. This is so sweet. That rug was such a great find. You definitely found some great items. I look forward to the next video to see what else you found.
Thank you so much, Pam!
Andrea is the best. I have been following her for years. The two of you have very similar personalities. Sweet, kind, and humble. Really enjoy watching you both!!!!
She is the best!
How to help your children put their things away, always do it with them in the beginning and always make it fun….that my montra life should be fun especially for children…I remember one time I was at my nieces house and asked her son to put his clothes in the hamper…he was running around the house yelling what’s a hamper…well I couldn’t hold back my laughter and after that I felt so bad, not realizing that he didn’t know what that meant so so the “hamper” became a basketball hoop and he made all the baskets…I’ve never had any of my own children. But those precious nephews and nieces and great and great nephew and nieces just warm my heart…hope this helps…💗💗💗
This is so cute! I love it.
The shirt is adorable! And the rug is amazing. I'm liking the brass candlesticks as well. My dad had the one hanger for his slacks.
Thrifted and yard sales with my dad as a child and have done so ever since. Our house is decorated with yard/estate, auction and thrift stores plus facebook market place.
I have all three magnolia cookbooks and have never had a cookbook with such wonderful recipes. You got a bargain. Also that larger hanger is for hanging slacks.
Oh thank you!
My favorite books when I was kid was the Trixie Belden mystery books ! I still have a few !
I don't like the color red too. Great SCORES at the bins! I find the best recipe books at the bins. When your girl's need to put their stuff away, I suggest to motivate them make it fun; give them a small prize/token from the bins. 💖
love the make-believe play! haha, how fun for the girls! they will remember it forever!!
We have a lot of fun!
I used to hate red too. Now I love a brick red or a red in a Persian rug. Brown red works too. I wrote this while I was watching your video before you showed the Persian rug lol. Love it.
Brick is a different story!
Kristen, you're AMAZING, yes I love to thrift.
You are making memories. Love the queen/princess story!! The wooden hanger (without the hooks)can be opened by pulling down on the metal hook. I use mine to hang pants and skirts. What a great deal on the Magnolia Cookbook. That rug is like brand new and for only $10. Keisten, you look amazing! I'm so thankful I came across your channel way back when.
I'm so glad you're here, Barb!
The hanger you showed is for pants, you flip the hook over and the hanger will open :)
Hi, Kristen! When I found you recently, I was thinking I should mention Andrea's channel to you! I've been following her for a good while now, as you precious young wife/momma believers are blessing to me in the days we are living!
The second style of hanger you're wondering about is for pants, slacks, jeans, shorts - whatever you want to hang by the bottom of the piece's legs. I chuckled when you showed it, because I just told Hubs that we need some more of them (since I swiped all of his!).☺
l like them so much better than the typical clip hangers!
Love all of your finds, especially the gorgeous Karastan rug! What a great gift our Lord had waiting for you❣ Loved our visit! You are a joy! 🤗🤗♥
Isn't she great?
Jed the Poorhouse Boy was published in 1899. It was written by Horacio Alger who was known for “rags to riches” stories which usually involved a poor abandoned orphan who overcame his or her circumstances through hard work and honesty.
Very cool! Thank you for this info!
To get rid of rust you can soak it in white vinegar and wipe it off.
More extensive rust can be treated with a caustic liquid use a metal brush and it will take the rust off.
Great suggestion!
Can’t wait for part Two!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I am loving your channel! I don’t really thrift, but I find it so interesting. Your book was written in 1899- what a find! What a fun idea for your girls acting the the queen and princesses. This will definitely be a lifelong me for them! Your hair looks amazing also!
Thank you!
A James Taylor album in the bins?! What has this world come to?! HaHa I love James Taylor too! Your home is so beautiful. I have goals to decorate in the same style. I just get overwhelmed with making choices. 😬
It was a SIN, I tell ya!
The small hanger is for ties. The other wooden hanger are for pants. You hang them by the cuff. Love both of your videos, as the two of you have been my favorites for quite awhile now. God bless. ❤
I have loved her videos for so long. I am so grateful that she was down to do this together!
Hi. The second hanger is for skirts. I am unsure if you are aware, but it has a type of spring at the top. Bend the hook forward (or back, depending on which way you have a facing), and this will release the tension so the two slats come apart, and you can insert the waistband of your skirt. Once you are happy with the position, push the hook back up to tighten the slats. I hope that this helps.
Thank you for this tip!
Yay!! My two favorite UA-camrs teamed up!!
Dream Team!
Tie holder and the hanger moves to open the clamp on the hanger to hold pants.
That rug is fabulous! It's in such great shape. A very lucky find. I've been thrifting my entire life. Sometimes I take long pauses from it because I start accumulating too much and think that's not a good thing! But the thrill of the hunt always drives me back.
It's always good to bring things in, and just as good to cycle things OUT!
Girl. You need a stair basket!! It's a basket designed especially for stairs :)
I have been looking for one for years!
Hello Kristen , this is my first visit to your vlog , Andrea sent me over . So happy I came to visit , love your bubbly personality and I know I will love visiting you ! ❤️
Thank you for being here, Judy!
Wow that rug is a great find! Love everything you thrifted!
Thanks so much!
The rug was a nice score, and it looks clean too. God Bless!
It is!
That second hanger is a pant hanger. You put the pants upside down between the pieces of wood which open at the hanging part.
Yes, the Lord does provide! ❤you are an awesome mom!
Thank you!
Love the rug! What a great find!
The rug was a great deal!
Hi Kristen, 🧺I love baskets too! I have never came across you’re videos before, not sure why! So glad ! did. I subscribed today, and happy to do it. You’re kindness and you’re energy just pulled me in. I love Pine and Prospect! The Thrift finds today are amazing. Thank you for sharing!❤
Thank you so much for being here, Sherry!
Such a steal on the rug!!!! Love it!!
Tell me about it!
The bigger hanger you have is for pants/slacks. My hubby has all his dress slacks hung in his closet with them.
Hang then by the bottoms of the legs. Keeps the crease in the slacks and they are not wrinkled.
Thank you!
Stumbled across your page and absolutely love it! Thank you for sharing your life and beautiful home with us
Welcome!!
always a delight.
For the Christmas tree stand…their is a couple things you could do, soak it in apple cider vinegar and scrub it with steel wool or a wire brush. Also if you have a company near by that does sand blasting, that would make it look brand new and it’s surprisingly affordable. 😊
I'll have to look into that!
I LOVE your channel; you are ORIGINAL! I am so BORED with these other youtubers that "SAY THE VERY SAME THING" AS THE NEXT ONE! THANKS FOR BEING YOURSELF & DIFFERENT!
She is really interesting to listen to. Her personality, her laughter, I could binge on her videos all day! She has that girl next door quality.. just honest, fun.. easy to chat with..
Wow, guys! This was SO SWEET to hear. I'm glad y'all like hanging with me!
Love the shirt and basket.
Pioneer lady has really good recipes.
I had to stop the video at 13 minutes to tell you I LOVE YOU QUEEN KRISTEN. Your candlelight nights sounds like so much fun!❤
I just wanna be the queeeeeen (of my house, at least!)
Love the queen story. You are such a cool mom, your royal highness. Your girls are so lucky.
You find the coolest items.
Thank you, Carol! I'll take the queen title, haha!
You shoulf, you are the queen. Your girls will always remember that. Precious memories!
You are such a sweetie! I have been following and watching Andrea for a few years now. Such an inspiration! So glad to follow you now also. Have a blessed day.
Thank you so much for being here, Tammy!
Noticed the shirt right away . I loved thrifting my whole life because I’m nostalgic and I love to find things that I have great memories about . The older things tend to be really well made or like with art pieces there are styles of art that were produced during a decade that stops being produced in the next one . In the 1950 ‘ s my dad was really sick for a while and started paint by numbers , never stopped loving those old painting style , is my house full of that , no , but that style is a favourite still. Great video today , your candle story was so sweet , every mom has a little something that they do and our kids will never forget those moments . Blessings sweet lady .💕🎶💕
I actually LOVE paint by numbers!
The wooden hanger is for pants/slacks. You pull the curved handle down to open the bottom. The hem of the pants leg goes there between the wood and then you close it back up. Great haul! And love that you teach your kiddos to be the princesses!
It's helps with avoiding all of the princess merchandise in stores!
Love your videos!! Been thrifting forever!❤
That brass candlestick is called a chamber stick😉
i LOVE the rug and the way you fixed up your daughter's room--the greenish blue and dusty rose colors look so good together! you're giving me major room inspo and now i'm itching to re-do my room lol
Beautiful rug! Love the goodwill bins💞
That hanger is a slacks or pants hanger but I think it would fun for a print or art
Another wonderful video, Kristen. You have found some fantastic items at the bins. 😀
What a wonderful haul! I wish we had a bins close by us! And I agree on the recipes I’m always looking for cookbooks to thrift so I can try new stuff. Great video 😊
Love your candlelight routine with your daughters! That makes special memories!
You should try it! So fun.
You are very wise to create a memory of fun times incorporating prayer together with your kids. Train them up in the way they should go (in the Lord) and they will not depart from it. If they rebel they will come back because you are instilling what is important in their spirits. God gave us our kids to raise them properly and sounds like you are doing a great job.
Wow, thank you, Mindy! I sure hope so. We have a lot of fun in our house. ☺️
The wood hang you find is for pants .
So many great finds! ❤️❤️
I'm just trying to keep up with you, Genevieve!
Great haul Kristen, the rug looks fabulous. I love Queen & Princesses!
you always find great rugs!!
It is so fun looking at your treasures 💛💛💛💛💛💛
Thank you, Sondra!
A great necklace holder or a belt holder! Love the old book! Cover is beautiful! Hardy Boys books are awesome & great to read! Vinyl records are fabulous! The Forget It basket is a great idea! $10 rug is a FABULOUS find!
Thank you, Kristen! You have a powerfully positive impact on my life in multiple ways. One example is your already changing the fact that I had never been to the bins or a thrift store before discovering your videos! You are so gifted in multiple ways & you bring joy to others through your teaching/sharing your gifts! I could not be more grateful to you for your inspiration! Thank you for spreading joy! The Persian rug looks like it belongs in your daughter’s room! Absolutely beautiful! 💐
WOW! This comment just totally made my day! Thank you!
