the Lazarus pit does not give these kinds of powers to individuals that bath or have been resurrected in them. The only after effects of the pit that are common are enhanced durability, reflexives, intelligence, stamina basically making you super human. I don't know what they were going for here but the butchered red hood from the start.

The mistic power come from his training at the All Caste and is a Canon thing that Red hood has it has not been expanded on very much but one of his main abilities is the All blades which come from his soul so the devs took liberties with what else he can do
There are a few versions of the pit that enhances your soul energy. This is branching out a bit for gameplay purposes but if you wanna talk about butchering Redhood look no further than Arkham knight. He was a whiny simpy cry baby that changed his mind with almost no reason. This is actually giving Jason a cool new story in a brand new universe. People need to chill.

Their version of Red Hood feels like the embodiment of nearly every concern about the Rise of the TMNT. Not only does giving powers feel weird, it doesn’t make him blend him the cast. If they wanted to give him powers then give everyone else powers or they could’ve actually used a BatFamily member with powers, Duke Thomas. Now Jason is some weird magical brute.

@@crislunaverellen6563 no he did have powers it’s in another comic I forgot what it’s called but he did have these mystical blades that he got later down the line. The one thing about that though they kinda overdid it with the mystical abilities and stuff.
@@crislunaverellen6563 He has a mystical ability from having trained with the All Caste. He can summon blades that are especifically used for supernatural threats. He has also taken Venom without the side effects that burdened someone like Batman, so make that what you will.
The Lazarus Pit depending the writer, has also done more than just restoring someone's youth or bring someone back from the dead, although that remains the de facto common use.

Gave me a cool idea. Imagine if when in close quarters you can use the gun strategically to counter attack, stun enemies than run up with a knife. Like right before attacked, you shoot to conserve ammo/ critical attack. Dude uses 1911s that hold 7 rounds anyways, can also have ammo types you change like batmans gadgets. Anyways with his style of combat/ weapon choice there's so much potential to cheapen out on giving the dude magic of all things lmao.

As far as I know, in his training with the All-Caste, these are the only "mystical" things Jason has.
- The All-Blades, two swords bound to Jason's soul that he can summon in the face of evil and can harm magical beings and the such.
- Jason has one attack that he can use that can remove ones immortality and powers. I'm not sure what it is called, but he did use that punch against Ra's al Ghul.
The All-Caste trained him in multiple forms of fighting and weapons, but nothing of like it was shown here. They just made him more deadly with his hands and gave him some magical moves to back him up. But! But.... I WANT to have hope for this game, I really do. But these people are slowly killing it
So they expanded his ability in harnessing soul energy. I don’t really see a problem with it. Mystic energy and pistols is a good combination. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if Red Hood continued mastering soul energy techniques from the All Caste? He would’ve been on another level than the rest of the Bat Family

Rocksteady didn't make jason die and comeback, and in AK he was angry against Batman just because he didn't save him, and substituted him, boring reason compared to the one from the one in the comics IMO.

his origin is different because in the comics, jason was only tortured for a few hours and intended to be permanently killed by joker, but came back because of the al ghuls. meanwhile, joker tortured jason for months in the arkham games to turn him into the arkham knight.
In the developers’ defense, there was a brief period in the comics where he had a pair of swords that were lit with the flames of hell (apparently), so he has used Magic before. However Jason Todd isn’t known for magic, he’s known filling his enemies with lead.

One: How are they going to make his Mystical Powers *Cyan.* the Cyan Hood has powers, that ain't Red Hood.
Second: You could have giving Robin a Glide cape like Batgirl and given the *Teleportation* to Red Hood. And for the rest of the Mystical abilities, just give it a technological explanation.

What I find funny is that giving Jason some mystical powers isn't even new, it was done by the All-Caste. I don't know if they had copy right issues, but they could of easily had Jason been the more brutal assassin fighter who using his guns and hand to hand combat equally while having him use his All-Caste powers as a finisher or something. Hell, you can even tweak his move that removes immortality to work on the talons since they are meant to be reanimated. He could use that and stop them from getting back up, giving him an edge the others don't have. Its really not hard to get him right, they had all the source material.

He kills really bad criminals (when the writers aren’t messing his character up) because he believes that this is what Gotham needs, what with the justice system and all that. He always believed in this sense of justice because as a child he was forced to see the worst of humanity and even had to survive it on a daily basis. He didn’t suddenly get all murdery because of the Lazarus pit.

Watched the trailer and on god you described it perfectly as I was watching it. Red Hood is massive compared to every other knight in this game yet he’s the fully ranged character??? Like dude looks like a hulk with his fists yet he only tickles people from 15 feet away with his guns. I wanted to see some gun fu martial arts not some boring ass shooting animations. He’s skilled enough to go h2h with Batman yet he’s entirely relying on his guns in this game and that shit gets boring fast in a beat ‘em up.

It is fair, in my opinion, the fact that someone says he doesn't like at all Jason with mystical abilities and prefer the one in the comics, with guns and 0 supernatural abilities, just like the rest of the Batfamily.
But in my opinion, criticizing WB montreal for expanding something from the comics, is not fair.
Comic accuracy doesn't mean good. People who critique this choice, by saying that it isn't comic accurate, aren't giving a good explanation as to why what WB did doesn't make any sense.
What they did, is completely logic and do make sense.
They took something from the comics, not much explored (Jason being able to summon the all blades and i think a special punch he can do), and tried to do something different but still mystical, like in the comics.
For me, a guy resurrected thanks to a pit that is used by a demon, who trained with mystical groups, should have some "side effects", he should be changed.
Jason even says that sometimes he "barely feels human sometimes", which makes perfect sense for someone who can be considered a dead man walking.
Also, this way he didn't just came back from the death and the only difference is that he's just angrier and uses guns. Now he has something else in him, and i'm thrilled to see how he's going to discover and control his powers.
They also found a way to differentiate him fron the rest of the family even more, he's not just the angriest, he's like a supernatural being who came back from hell and brought something with him.
Plus you can't even compare this red hood with punisher or other similars anymore, he's like a demoniac creature and i fucking love it lol.

Credit were its due: The world-building seems wayyyyy better than the Arkham Series even if the game Will flop. The amount of attention to detail when it comes to the huge map - which surprisingly Also includes the asylum - to the history behind the city which they probably spent days writing. It seems as if they took the idea from city where different characters have buildings and expanded it to entire boroughs with their own style. Say what you want about the game but the recent trailer showed greatness beyond anything i could’ve anticipated considering the previous showcases

I hate the RPG tedium in this game. Stuff like crafting and "epic/legendary loot" and "ice damage", "electric damage" "science damage". I don't understand why they didn't just make it a normal action game. Its like they put Batman characters in a Borderlands game.
I wasn't even focusing on the combat. But, more that when his powers set off the tablet, it seems almost like his powers are unstable or he's not as in control as they play it off. Like, he came back with the pit and something is happening potentially similar to how Ra's goes insane the more he uses the pit. I'm not defending the game, but specifically here, _maybe_ there is something plotwise they're trying to do where eventually he does lose that battle and goes full killer. That part could be interesting.
Side note, for asthma I would suggest getting an actual machine or something of the like off Amazon. And talking to a doc about some albuterol solution for the machine. It helps far more than a rescue inhaler ever could. I was born asthmatic so I gift this advice to you. You can even find handheld machines on Amazon that do the same thing as the full machines if you don't wanna lug around the bigger ones. Best of luck to ya Demigah
