One thing I forgot to mention is that Freewell will be offering drop in hard stop ND filters for the K2 Island section of the system. Good news for all those landscape photographers 📸🤙

Great review my friend. Looks like a great kit. It’s amazing how far these products have come that you no longer need a huge backpack to toke them with you. 👏👏
Thanks very much for watching. It is very convenient having that kit for video and stills. Have a great week ahead, cheers.
Nice system, beats the Cokin filter system I have been using for 30 years. Great overview, thank you
Thanks for watching Tony! Hope you have an enjoyable week, cheers 📸🙏
What a nifty kit, seems like they’ve thought of everything! Fabulous thorough review and so good to see it in use in the field. The night scenes were cool - so that’s how they do it! ⭐️
Thanks for watching! It's very nifty indeed. I found a lot of different uses for the kit. Have a great day 📸🙏
Interesting filter set. Wish this was out before I purchased my Kase filter set. This seems much more versatile. Thanks again Adrian, well done.
Thanks for watching Leo. Enjoy the rest of your week 📸🙏
Hi Adrian, I have no experience with the filters you have used in the video, but according to the magnetic system I have to say, since I use the magnetic system from Kase, I would not use any screw based filtersystem anymore. That's such a big advantage, especially when we want to take exposures with and without filters or with different filters. Oh man, what I had to screw back then :)
A great video and fantastic example images!
Thank you for the video and have a great week ahead,
Christian
Thank you for watching Christian. Yes magnetic filters seem to be the norm now. Very quick to take off and replace. Hope you're having a great week. Cheers 🙏
Great review, Adrian! I usually don’t like variable ND filters because they can leave dark spots in your image, but these Freewill filters seem to not have that problem! Nice!
Thanks for watching Phil. They're pretty cool these filters in that they can be used in so many different ways. Have a great week buddy, cheers 📸🙏
Very nice product and excellent review!
Thanks for watching
Nice one Adrian, I'm amazed how many filters #freewell do. Great demo, many thanks for sharing the info and shots :)
Many thanks for watching Shaun. Very nice set of packaged filters. Enjoy your week mate, cheers 📸🙏
Very cool man. Love that gold streak filter at night.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Awesome in depth review Adrian! Looks like a great, really versatile kit & I’m sure you’ll be using it quite often & a lot of your viewers might give it a go too! Enjoy the rest of your week mate ( and learn to count on your fingers😃😃😃 )!
Thanks for watching Peter. Magnetic filters are so quick to change, I do like that aspect. Have a great week mate cheers 📸🙏
Thanks for sharing Adrian, looks like a nice piece of kit, I recently bought a variable ND and returned it because of the horrible X effect it had on the images, it was not a high end filter, proves you get what you pay for, this kit looks really cool.
Thanks for watching John. Have a great week cheers.
The box looks good. The step-up rings are too big and difficult to store in your bag attached to your lens. Magnetic obviously has become standard since KASE put it on the market. Screw on filters, hmmmmmm - I don't know, not for me. Hope the filters are good. Great review. Thank you so much for sharing and showing this filter system to us. All the best.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Adrian , the VND base, what does it really do? I thought that the VND filters are the big one at the front!
Thank you for a great review.
Thanks for watching. If you check out this other Freewell video this may suit you better and answer your question - cheers 🍻 ua-cam.com/video/E7rQkMWfWvQ/v-deo.htmlsi=N1pZX5dvW4Bley1j
Looks like a great kit indeed but the price. $750 AUD is just too steep for me. Thank you for the information though, awesome video as usual.
The tool looks useful and its quality is acceptable. We have a question: does the distance between the filter and the lens obviate the need for a lenshood?
I did not need a lens hood
Great video, very informative, but it looks like you won't be able to use a lens hood? And if so, would that be a deal breaker
No you can’t use a lens hood and no that would not be a dealbreaker for me.
You could technically just get one of those rubber hoods that wrap around the barrel of the lens could you not?
@@agent_pires I'd choose the "not" the hood would interfere with access to adjust the filter system and possible the focus/zoom on the lens you were using. Plus you'd probably look like a complete tool walking around with a camera that has a radar dish like you were communication with Mars, given how big a lens hood would have to be and "not" get vignetting or clipping in the corners. You know, only coming from the guy who has actually used the filter system!
Nice video bro.
Can you use ND Filter with Polarizer?
and how?
Thanks for watching. I just made another video on a Freewell variable ND with CPL. You can check it out here 👉ua-cam.com/video/E7rQkMWfWvQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ETP-KgR5sfbidCt-
@@adrianalfordphotography Awesome. Thank you.
