Hi Adrian, a great video, buddy :) Oh yes, magnetic filters are such a big advantage. The thing that I totally underestimated is the color coding. But that's even a massive advantage. You know, I switched over to new filters, which have colorized rings. And I have to say: I never missed that before for many years, because I simply didn't think about that. But as soon as you start using that, it makes things really so much easier out on location in the dark. It's definitely not the most important feature of a filter, but it's good. By the way, your shot at ~12:00 is an absolutely killer shot. Great work, Adrian :) Enjoy your weekend, Christian
Thanks for watching Christian. I was genuinely surprised at the natural color out of these filters. For what you get for the price, they're pretty good value. I think the color coding would definitely make getting the shot a lot easier in low light. Maybe I should just get some of those cheap touch up paint pens (3 x different colors) and make my own :) Have a great weekend buddy cheers 📸🙏

Great review Adrian, Freewell do so many ND filters now and they are very good quality. Great idea with the magnetic filters, so quick and easy. Many thanks for sharing the info and have a great weekend :)
Great idea on the color coding...I still utilize the "old school" Cokin system and added a little strip of tape on the corners of the filter to indicate how many stops the ND the filter is. I used the universal electrical resistor color code...Red = 2 stops, Yellow = 4 stops etc. I do like the magnetic filter system, no more filter removal wrench is needed. Thank you
Great review Adrian! Those look like pretty decent filters. Having filters that give off very little in the way of blue color cast is such a plus. I don't know how Lee Filters has survived all of this time with the horrible blue cast they give off. I agree that all filter companies really need to start color coding their filters. That, combined with the magnets everyone seems to be going with nowadays, would make for such wonderful ease of use. I still use my square filters and absolutely love them, but the magnetic filters really come in handy when traveling or when shooting in tough conditions such as high winds or rain. By the way, that pier image was an absolute banger! Great stuff as always my friend. Hope you are doing well and having a great week!
Thanks heaps for watching mate. I was pretty surprised when I first saw the long exposure shot I took when I got them. Did a double take and thought I was still on the first shot (no filter) on the back of the camera, but I wasn’t. Very natural color out of these filters which is a bonus for post processing. Hope you have a great week Paul, take care 👍🙏
Thanks for watching Cliff. Glad you enjoyed the video mate. A good compact set of filters for doing ling exposures that's for sure. Have a great weekend, cheers 📸🙏
Fabulous and very thorough review. Awesome that you can pick your own set to match your own photography - good thinking by the company. Great set of examples to show what they can do and final sunset shot was stunning.
Many thanks for watching. Yes, the Freewell magnetic step up rings would make life a lot easier and quicker when using these filters on different size lenses. Hope you have an awesome week my friend, take care 🙏📸
Thanks for watching John. They're quick to put on and take off, and yes I like that you can choose the filters you want in your set. Have a great weekend mate, cheers 😀
Great in depth review mate. Looks like they have a great set of filters. Cool that you can put your own kit together as well. The image quality seems awesome with them, definitely no degradation of IQ! You got some beautiful sample shots, the sky was on fire 😍🔥 cheers
Nice video and test, Adrian! I always enjoy your reviews. I have a question. When you are doing these extremely long exposures, do you find that you get hot pixels in your images? I don't do extremely long exposures often but usually, when I do, I get hot pixels that I have to remove. This is with Nikon and Canon gear. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Funny you should mention hot pixels. Here's a fun fact I discovered. The D850 gives me hot pixels (several) here and there when doing LE's over 4 mins. Turning Noise Reduction (NR) on helps it a bit. They're relatively easy to get rid of in post scanning around the shot quickly with the clone tool as you know. But here's the interesting thing. The super LE I got with the Z7 with those rocks. Guess how many hot pixels I got? Nothing! Zero! Creamy smooth shot that did not take long to do post on. Maybe it's a mirrorless thing, or maybe it's old tech vs new tech, but was surprised with the different results hot pixels wise. Have a great week buddy, cheers 🙏📸
Boy, I'd like to see $350USD+ as "budget", but I'm just starting out and that's almost as much as I paid for my Lumix G7. I was hoping for more "budget-budget." (If these are "budget," how much are top of the line filters???)
First of all you're wrong on your pricing, as stated in the video the filters are $250USD for a three pack. Second of all, you should have googled (Kase, Lee Filters etc) ND filter kits and you would have seen these filters compared to other brands are 'budget. Lastly, if you're just starting out, then welcome to the real world where camera, lenses and photography gear in general has increased in price almost 3 times since the pandemic.

Thanks for info. Have you tried any of their other filters or just ND? Thanks.
No I have tested the ones in this video.
